Hi lybrate-user Excess fat deposit on tummy area is due to insulin and glucagon hormone imbalance. Hello, It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems are directly related to overweight! Read the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) . Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. Preferably brisk walking, swimming, cycling, skipping. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Whole wheat bread, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, and brown rice are all excellent sources of energy and sources of nutrition. 8: Choose lean proteins instead of fatty ones. 9: Cut the salt from your diet. Eating more sodium causes your body to retain water, which can cause you to feel bloated and gain more weight. 10: Don't skip meals.When you skip meals, your body stops breaking down fat and starts breaking down muscle tissue. Muscle tissue burns more calories at rest than other tissues, so you're actually working against your goals 11: Eat at home. Going out to eat makes it too easy to cheat. Food sold at restaurants is commonly much higher in fat, sodium, and other weight-loss killers. 12: Give yourself a treat now and then. If you're attending a party or going out for a special occasion, allow yourself an indulgence. Just make sure that these indulgences don't become daily habits. 13: Go for a health walk. Gear up yourself daily for a health walk which not only shed off your extra calorie, but also reduces the stress levels. Medication: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before the meals for 1 month. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance. All the best!

There is no spot reduction. Wherever there is fat, on exercising and eating clean, it will reduce. To maintain a low body fat and/or lower body fat: 1. Exercise at least 6 times per week, 3 times weight training and 3 days cardio. 2. Eat whole/unprocessed foods at regular intervals, while being aware of physical hunger/fullness cues 3. Sleep 7-9 hours per night 4. Don’t engage in extreme diets 5. Stay consistent with your habits 6. Incorporate non-exercise physical activity 7. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.

Hi, you should go for brisk walk in the morning and go for swimming and skipping. Do regular exercise atleast 15 minutes and do belly exercise. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Take salad before meals. Don't take rice at night. Avoid junk food and oily food. Drink more water in a day. Take small and frequent meals.

. Reduce your portions by using smaller plates, asking for a small ice cream cone, beverage or sandwich instead of a large, splitting main dish at a restaurant with a friend or ordering a lunch-size portion even at dinner. It’s better to take a fixed portion on to the plate and not eat directly from the serving bowl. Do you know just 2 cookies or small biscuits more than your requirement in a day will make you put on 5 Kgs in a year and 25 Kgs in 5 years? So we need to take care of our serving sizes. 2. Increase the volume. Choose low-fat, high-fiber foods which fill you up with minimal calories. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes are high-volume foods that not only help trim your waistline but also provide nutrients essential for health. 3. Add fruits and vegetables to all your meals. Add one fruit or vegetable to every meal, and you'll be on your way to lower blood pressure and improved health. Try apples for breakfast, raw cucumber or carrots with lunch and fruit salad with dinner. 4. Hydrate yourself. Get a water bottle and carry it with you everywhere you go. You'll find yourself drinking water while you're driving, at your desk, during meetings and watching TV. Drinking water instead of coffee, soda, fruit punch or other sweetened beverages saves calories as it keeps your body functioning optimally. Drinking lukewarm water is even better. 5. Go Vegan majorly. Eat meatless meals for at least 5 days per week or more. Choose a paneer/mushroom curry instead of chicken or mutton curry, vegetable sandwich in place of a chicken sandwich, veggie burger instead of hamburger. You'll consume less fat and saturated fat, plus increase your fiber intake! 6. Enhance your Breakfast Studies show people who start the day with breakfast cereal have higher intakes of vitamins and fiber and lower intakes of fat and saturated fat. For the healthiest cereal, choose one with at least five grams of fiber and no more than eight grams sugar per serving. Pour on skim milk for a double bonus! 7. Don’t eat before the tube Stop eating meals while watching TV or snacking during your favorite show. Research plus common sense tells us we eat more when we're watching the tube. 8. Not 3 but 5. Have at least 5 small meals a day in place of 3 big ones to keep your metabolic rate high which in turn helps in weight loss. A good day’s diet should have small and frequent meals i. E. 5 meals in the day rather than 3 big meals. We need to learn to have the Best Breakfast, Nutritious Midmorning snack, Good Lunch, Light Evening snack with beverage and an Early Dinner every day. 9. Pack your meals. Instead of buying lunch every day, or worse yet, skipping lunch altogether, pack your lunch as far as possible. Make a sandwich with whole grain bread, a chapatti roll with lots of veggies, salad like sliced cucumbers and tomatoes, and grated carrots. Add a piece of fresh fruit. Satisfy your sweet tooth with yogurt or fat-free pudding and your need for crunch with soya sticks, murmura, almonds, or may be just a little ‘saunf’(fennel seeds). You'll save money and eat less fat, salt and sugar. 10. Do not fast, do not feast. Neither skip meals nor have everything in one meal. We need to learn to eat when we are hungry & stop when sufficiently full. We need to learn to self-regulate.

Morning walk is like sanjeevni for obesity and hypertension. Immediately after a walk there will be rise in bp for quite sometime. One should not be worried about it. Always check bp before starting of walk or after 1 hour of walk. Still if it is high then need treatment modifications but keep the walk and dietary modifications continue as long as she is physically and mentally fit to do that.

Hi, your weight is controlled by 4 major factors (1) refined sugar consumption (2) exercise and hydration (3) posture and sitting (4) how many times do you indulge yourself - alcohol, binge eating at parties, overeating etc. Step 01: refined sugar 1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. Step 02: get exercise and proper hydration 1. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water. Step 03: improve posture and sitting habits if you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. Step 04: stop indulging and eat more of raw natural stuff 1. Try to eliminate the urge to overeat but if you do overeat try to limit the incidents to two times per week. 2. Eat 6 small meals throughout the day 3. Eat 4 servings of fruits per day. 4. Each of your meal should contain 50% of raw vegetables. Once you incorporate the above points in your routine you will see a dramatic difference in your weight, physical shape and energy levels.

I am 21 and I have gained 69 kgs and acc to my height 5'1 , I look very short and fat! I am very much concerned for my obesity. So I started 4 kms walk and after so many days of warm ups I started running. But I had cramps in my thighs and legs, plus I was very much tired and had pain in my stomach on those days when I went for running. Reduce intake of alcohol, best will be to stop alcohol intake excess alcohol will lead to liver cirrhosis. Eat protein rich diet, avoid fatty meals. Exercise weight reduction necessary.

Firstly your hormonal treatment should be perfect and for that you keep on doing regular consultations and check-ups with your doctor, better, an endocrinologist or a physician with good knowledge of endocrinology. Secondly, you have to perform exercises regularly and may join a gym or better you start playing badminton or table tennis or lawn tennis, which involves exercise, recreation and sport’s talent and creates interest in you while pure exercises are boring. You may also do dancing and swimming. These are also good exercises as well as recreation. Thirdly, diet control or taking balanced diet. Reduce carbohydrates. So, avoid rice, potato and ghuiyan (colocasia). Also reduce wheat. In place take besan’s (gram flour) chapaati. Increase pulses containing proteins. Soyabeen has good amount of proteins. Use soya badi or soya paneer. Use skimmed milk or skimmed milk products. Also avoid meat or fish containing fat and high calories. Prawn are low fat high protein diet. Also decrease overall intake of food. Take lot of salad like cucumber, tomato etc to quench your hunger. Take plenty of low fat green vegetable dishes like loki, tori, shaljam, paalak, mooli, shimla mirch. Also use green tea. Take plenty of water frequently. Avoid sugar or sugared tea or coffee, chocolates, sweets and very sweet fruits like grapes. You may take seasonal fruits like amrood, ev (apple), banana in limited quantities.

Dieting and exercising are the main treatments for obesity. Diet quality can be improved by reducing the consumption of energy-dense foods, such as those high in fat and sugars, and by increasing the intake of dietary fiber. With a suitable diet, anti-obesity drugs may be taken to reduce appetite or decrease fat absorption. If diet, exercise, and medication are not effective, a gastric balloon may assist with weight loss, or surgery may be performed to reduce stomach volume and/or bowel length, leading to feeling full earlier and a reduced ability to absorb nutrients from food. You have to check your thyroid profile.

Hai Mr. Lybrate-user, this is most common problem of most of the women. Don't worry. Your wife requires dietary fat restrictions as other doctor mentioned and also abdominal exercises to reduce tummy fat. You can taken help of a trainer/physiotherapist/ internet for abdominal exercises. Tell her to do these exercises regularly and stick to fat restricted food.

The best and only way for weight reduction is > 1. Diet Control +2. Daily exercise. All other methods/ Drinks / Herbs etc are all myths and fantasies. Ajwain / any such drink does not reduce any weight. Good health needs some effort but the final results are worth the effort.

Your husband's bmi is 39. He excess weight problem is classified under morbid obesity. Once obesity has turned morbid, general exercises and dietary modifications don't work too much for weight reduction as it is a metabolism problem. He needs definitive treatment and that is metabolic surgery. Bariatric surgery done laparoscopically gives wonderful result and assured weight loss after few months.

The no-calcium mice lost 8 percent of their body fat, compared to 42 percent among the mice that did get calcium. 3. Lean protein. Good sources of protein, such as lean meats, eggs, and beans, help keep your blood sugar stable. The result youll feel full longer and get a boost in energy and that will help you burn more belly fat.

Dear to decrease ur weight you have to do work out daily...Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do Bhujang asana , Dhanurasana ,Naukasana, Kumbhakasana , Pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7.
