I started gym after a long time. But this time during cardio be it a walk at brisk pace or jogging I can feel pain on my both legs at front side below knees till Bottom. Even at my touch I can feel the pain. Earlier I thought it may be because I started gym after long time but it's been a month or more still same pain. Pain goes off after few hours. Please suggest the reason for this pain and solution.

Hi there your symptoms resembles with shin splint. It is a condition in which shin gets inflammation due to sudden increase in distance or workout schedule or overusing muscle or due to shoe type and many other reasons. You can consult physiotherapist for further treatment and at home you can apply ice pack to reduce inflammation, take ibuprofen, following. Stretching and strengthening exercises twice a day, shoe modification might be helpful.

Wash your feet regulary, dry them before wearing footwear, washed socks daily. Socksto be dry before reuse.

Apply ice or hot pack for 5 to 10 minutes. Take rest for 3 to 4 days don't do gym. Consult physio if pain is still persist after 10 days consult orthopedics. Avoid prolonged standing, forward bending, weight lifting, two wheeler driving etc.

Dear sir, I reside in electronic city, bangalore. My mother is 69 years old and has complains of acidity. She also complains thrubbing pain in her knees in the night. I would request a guidance for her treatment.

She would probably have osteoarthritis of knees at her age, the question is how severe. We need x rays of both knees ap and lateral views for the same. Also get vitamin d levels and uric acid levels. Painkiller wise we can' t give her anything strong because of her acidity, we can however give her some medications to improve the lubrication of the joint or some injections into the joint for the same. The above however are only effective if her arthritis is mild to moderate, if it is severe she will need a knee replacement.

I came from gym, then after shower when I was about to wear shorts and raised my left leg, I felt pain in my lower back (upper buttock centre portion. I am not able to bend forward, it pains when I try to Bend forward. What could be the problem? At gym I didn't felt any pain. But when I came home and after shower I felt the pain. Please help. You could have injured your back unknowingly at the time of exercise,may be due to wrong posture or not lifted any weight correctly..so there could be a minor bulge in the disc or soft tissue injury.Best would be to avoid exercising for a week,rest as much as you can and dont take any massages,avoid lifting any heavy weight,don't bend forward or sit unsupported.Do ice compress to the painful area 3-4 times a day,can apply some nise gel.If it doesnt help consult a doctor.

I have some kind of butt pain from last 5 days. On the first day, the pain was intense and I could not get out from my bed. Although the pain decreased, I couldn't walk after a certain distance. I'm limping from last 5 days. Sometimes I will experience a sudden pain and at other times when I walk a little far, the pain happens throughout my leg which compels me to sit down. Yesterday, I slept on the affected side of the hips and the pain increased and now I'm experiencing continuous pain. I should tell that I experienced a nasty jump in the bike because the tyres were not having enough air. What can be the reason for such pain?

Such acute pain conditions affecting your butt could be due to Muscle strain or Intervertebral disc prolapse or Sacroilitis. Observe the following for relief; 1. Take analgesics like Ibuprofen round the clock. 2. Take rest for 2 to 3 days. Absolute bed rest is not recommended, can do your normal personal activities at home. 3. Apply analgesic cream over back and do warm water fomentation. 4. Keep pillow behind knees while sleeping. 5. Once pain is relieved start back stretches. If pain does not decrease or if you have tingling/ numbness / weakness of legs consult immediately with your doctor.

I am 24 years old, when I go for a jog or run. Spinal cord which must absorb shocks. Does Not. I think the cause is, I used to lift heavy weight. Does it lead my spinal cord weak.

That's not the reason for back pain and apart from exercise I will suggest you to increase your immunity by taking Tablet folvite 5mg once a day for six months and tablet vitamin D3 60000iu once a week for six months

Most leg pain results from wear and tear, overuse, or injuries in joints or bones or in muscles, ligaments, tendons or other soft tissues. Leg pain can also be caused by blood clots, varicose veins or poor circulation. To relieve mild pain: stay off your leg as much as possible apply an ice pack or bag of frozen peas to the affected area for 15 to 20 minutes three times a day elevate your leg whenever you sit or lie down please go to a physiotherapist if: you have pain during or after walking you have swelling in both legs your pain gets worse your symptoms don't improve after a few days of home treatment you have painful varicose veins if you feel the pain is from muscle cramp then you need to drink a lot of water because poor fluid intake (dehydration) may predispose to cramps also low blood levels of either calcium or magnesium directly cause cramps.

Not all cases of backache need surgery. Most of them can be managed with out surgery. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

It can be due to allergy to the detergent. You can change the detergent and observe. You can also use a rubber glove to protect the hands. Please visit a doctor and get it examined, let the doctor diagnose it properly and give treatment if required.

Try this for joint pains try this. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

A day after a good workout session at gym, I am hearing a popping sound in my shoulder and bone/ muscle overlapping or moving one over other, though I feel a little pain when I move my hand up and down. Just curious to know is it any sign of injury or this happens? For this I got many replies and remedies like icing, low frequency exercise ,rest, it's been almost two weeks, still same condition.

You are doing some wrong steps and needs a professional trainer indeed. Do not force anything When you feel discomfort leave the exercise. Take Hypericum 1M - thrice daily 4 pills for next 7 days. Continue treatment
