Dear lybrate-user, first go for check up of uric acid and report back. Take dry ginger powder 1/2 tsp with hot water twice a day for two days. Avoid constipation.

What could be the reason for pain in heel after waking up in morning in winter season.

What could be the reason for pain in heel after waking up in morning in winter season.
It is due to the calcaneal spur (inflammation of the calcaneum bone) which causes the heel pain in majority of the cases. It is better to wear mcr chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. Keep ice which will reduce the inflammation.

. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee.

Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Physiotherapy usually helps any way take caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

Should you be getting any side effects owing to your current medication, you can always discuss with your doc for an appropriate substitute that will suit you better. I don't know any home medicine. But remedy what you can use is reduce your body weight, do regular physical exercise with 45 mins of aerobics / brisk walking, dietary management and monitor diabetes control. Lipid insatiability can be accepted in diabetes. Monitoring for control of diabetes complications, including eye complications like diabetic cataract or retinopathy, are also very much important. Medicine part shall be taken care by your diabetologist. I believe your body pain shall go with exercise gradually.

When leg pain occurs after strenuous physical activity, you can simply apply cold compresses. This will help reduce the pain by numbing the affected area and control swelling and inflammation. 1. Wrap a few ice cubes (or a bag of frozen peas) in a thin towel. 2. Apply this pack on the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes, while keeping the leg (s) elevated. 3. Do this a few times a day. Note: do not apply ice directly on the skin, as it may cause frostbite.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

This is internal impingement. You have shoulder dyskinesia which is common in badminton players. You need to strengthen your shoulder and core body muscles.

• Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold). • Avoid Squatting- • Avoid sitting Cross legged • Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment knee is applied warm water followed by the immediate application of the knee with ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.
