Hello, Thanks for the query. The blood glucose levels are too high. Which means totally inadequate medication, plus probably improper diet and very little no exercise. The information given is not enough. To help control the glucose levels I need to following details: current fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, weigh, height, medications with dosage details, lipid profile, urea & creatinie levels. It is better if you come in a private conversation with above information then I will be able to guide specifically and even prescribe the required medicine. In this communication we are supposed to give only general guidelines, no prescriptions are allowed. Hence if interested please do as mentioned. Thanks.

Hello , pls follow the doctor prescribed medicine. Which controls the diabetics and will not allow you increase. But along with medication, you need to concentrate on food also. Make sure you food must have high protein, fiber and omega-3 nutrition. For a diabetics, its good to have more protein rather than carbohydrates, which converts into glucose and may have a chance to increase the diabetes. You can completely cure diabetes, let me suggest you the best supplements. Have a nice day.

Is it harmful to take apple cider vinegar after 10 mins of thyroid tablet. I generally heard that do not take any medicine when you consume apple cider vinegar so please tell me what is good for me and how can I take both the things please guide.

BHMS
Homeopath, Secunderabad
Please follow the instructions given by your doctor ( the thyronorm tab needs to be taken on empty stomach ). Apple cider vinegar is not a medicine and there are no medical evidence to prove its efficacy. So it's a personal choice if you still want to consume it.

Silent Thyroiditis - Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment

MBBS, DNB (General Medicine)
General Physician, Delhi
Silent Thyroiditis - Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment

The thyroid gland influences almost all the metabolic processes in the human body through the hormones it releases. The swelling or inflammation of this butterfly-shaped gland, when triggered by an immune response is known as Silent Thyroiditis. It can lead to hyperthyroidism i.e. the overproduction of hormones followed by hypothyroidism or insufficient hormone production.

The exact cause of this thyroid disorder is unknown but it is known to affect more women than men. Women who have just delivered a baby are also more vulnerable to this disorder. Some of the probable causes for this condition are autoimmune responses, discontinuation of steroid therapy, removal of the adrenal gland and treatment for cancer. A family history of silent thyroiditis can also increase a person’s risk of suffering from this disease.

In its early stages, the symptoms of this disorder are those of a hyperactive thyroid gland. These symptoms can last for as long as 3 months. In most cases, these symptoms are mild. In some cases, people may not experience these symptoms at all and may only notice symptoms of the second stage of this disorder or hypothyroidism. The most commonly experienced symptoms of this disorder include:

  1. Insomnia or difficulty falling asleep

  2. Tiredness and weakness

  3. Frequent bowel movements

  4. Intolerance towards heat and excessive sweating

  5. Increased appetite

  6. Weight loss

  7. Irregular menstruation: this may be short in the early stages and heavy in later stages

  8. Muscle cramps

  9. Irritability

  10. Nervousness and palpitations

  11. Hair loss and dry skin

Silent Thyroiditis can be diagnosed by a doctor through a physical examination and a few tests. Some of the signs your doctor will look out for are:

  1. An enlarged thyroid gland

  2. Faster heart rate

  3. Involuntary trembling or shaking of hands

In addition to this test results which indicate Silent Thyroiditis are:

  1. A reduced radioactive iodine uptake

  2. Increased levels of T3 and T4 thyroid hormones in the blood

  3. Presence of white blood cells in a thyroid biopsy

An early diagnosis can help make the treatment of this disorder easier. The treatment of this disease is dependent on the symptoms showcased. Beta blockers are commonly prescribed to relieve the excessive sweating and rapid heartbeat.

In most cases, the acute phase of this disorder will end in three months and the condition will resolve itself within a year. Over time, some people may develop hypothyroidism as a result of this condition. Hence, you should get yourself regularly checked up even after the symptoms have disappeared. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an endocrinologist..

HbA1C less than 7 % . Check sugar every month ,keep record. Eumosone (clobetasone)is a very potent steroid not for balanitis ,not to be used for more than 10 days ,stop it .Do not use any cream without cunsulting a doctor. Causes of Male and Female Infertility

Hi friends, I’m doctor Hema Parashar. I’m ayurvedic gynecologist for Jay Hospital Najafgarh, New Delhi. I’ll be discussing today Infertility which is very common. I won’t be discussing all the topics of infertility, I’ll discuss some of the topics only which are usually unseen by most if the doctors. Some causes like fear, disharmony of marriage causing tubal spasm, less knowledge about sex. Besides that anemia, tuberculosis, thyroid, that is hyperthyroid or hypothyroid, either of the two and PCOD.

PCOD, Polycystic Ovarian Disease is among one of the most common reasons for infertility these days and very, unfortunately, though it comes in unmarried females, it is usually unlooked upon by parents. Parents should always take care that their daughters are getting their menstrual regularly and not having any other sort of problem which could be PCOD and thus can be treated as marriage itself so that the females don’t suffer infertility after marriage.

Besides that in secondary infertility in males are, there could be coverage, it could be diabetic militias, it could be a smoker or drug abuse or alcoholic. In female’s most common cause are post child birth and post abortion pelvic infections. Besides that, it is viral infections and over here in my case I give Ayurvedic treatment to the patients, to the couples besides the social and physiological support which is, which is desperately and very much needed today in infertility patients. I have taken a lot of care to give social and physiological support along as much as possible.

In patients who come to me are usually those who have suffered infertility for years together and got treated from all various places and thus they are usually overloaded with aliphatic drugs, generic sorta hormones and ayurvedic treatment which is far from side effects usually gives excellent results. Besides that in males who suffer from Oligospermia, Oligozoospermia, even Azoospermia, premature ejaculation ayurvedic treatment gives excellent results.

If you suffer from any diseases of this sort or if anybody near you or known to you suffers from any diseases of this sort, you may contact me through lybrate or you may come directly to my hospital, Jay hospital in Najafgarh. Thank you.
