Hye. Thank you for your query. As a vegetarian all foods become a source of protein for you. Also, if your diet is well balanced only then will your protein be utilised for its main function or repair and building. So, have a balanced diet and include protein rich foods as well in each meal. Dairy, pulses, dals, nuts, seeds, soy and dry fruits are all sources of protein.

Dear Lybrate User, *Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must.

Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I am facing mental problems. My consciousness feels weak, I can't imagine or remember things very naturally. I do not see a memory loss case, but memory is not as clear as it used to be a year ago. Hi I will prescribe some harmless but effective flower remedy available in homoeopathy shops. Try to buy original medicines. Mix 4 drops of aspen + 4 drops of Rock Rose + 3 drops of Scleranthus + 3 drops of mimulus + 2 drops of White Chestnut. Mix these with 100 ml water and drink it every night once before sleeping. Hello, You can eat that fibrous part in banana. Banana chips are full of calories and will provide only fats and nothing else Banana s can be consumed as a fruit, in smoothies, shakes etc. As they are much healthier options provided you do not add extra sugar.

I am 18 years old Boy. I am not too much overweight but I am 86 kg right now And My Face looks normal but When I laugh It looks Too Much Ugly And My Body Shape looks too much Fat, Now I Passed my IT Diploma and Now I'll go to Engineering But After 8th Standard my Wright is Increasing day by Day Thank God Increase rate is too slow but After 8th I Gradually Stooped Playing outside, till 10th I used to Play Outside games Like Cricket, Running, Football, Kabaddi, Swimming, Even Gymnastics but Now It is Impossible to Do any of it I really want to go to Ground but Always I loose and Sweating is another Huge Problem When I go outside. My Face Becomes too much wet I Don't have any Breathing Problem or I Don't get Sweating by Running or Exercise but nowadays I can't go outside of AC or Fan for even a Single minute I want to be Strong Once again I used to Look Good and Healthy but Now I really Look Ugly and Weak I want to change it I want to make me Great again like I was I joined gym for 1 month but that was no use I did everything Yoga, Swimming and all But I can't even do that Once Even 2 kg Dumbbells make My Hand Pain I don't want this I want to be Strong Once again please And I got Hair loss Problem too yes I agree O ate lot of Bad food From. Come back to nature. Go for early morning walk in any good garden take deep brith do some arobic excersices. Change food habites. Avoidfast, spacy, junck food, over eating. Take simpal veg foods with salad, take fiber food as much as you can. Due to ac life you are so far away from nature. Nature is best source of healthy life.

1. Eat well – Take a balanced Diet comprising of 45% carbohydrate, 30% protein and 25% fat, plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Don’t over eat. Avoid junk, spicy, oily, high calorie, cholesterol rich diet don’t skip your breakfast. Take warm, homemade food. Avoid food and drink from outside. Don’t skip or postpone your meal. Minimize consumption of refined grains like white rice, white bread, sugary or refined food. 2. Keep hydrated- Drink 2 liters /8-10 glasses of water daily 3. Do regular exercise for one hour daily like brisk walking/Jugging etc 4. Take adequate rest- 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night is required to remain healthy 5. Avoid stress, anxiety, depression, agitation etc 6. Find time for relaxation and enjoyments with friends and family 7. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control emotion, improve concentration and relieve stress 8. Avoid smoking, consumptionof tobacco and Alcohol 8. Develop hobby, Learn new skill 9. Go for detail Annual Health check up.

I am a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in managing your weight. You need to provide me your daily food intake details. There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed: take high protein prescribed diet, have paneer, eggs and potatoe daily. Incorporate dry fruits in your diet on a daily basis. Eat a balanced diet as prescribed by a registered dietitian, I being a registered dietitian and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problem. I will also prescribe medicines that will speed up the time to achieve your weight management goals. Gradual weight management is always advisable. An increase in 500 kcal per day can result in increasing the body weight by 0.5 kgs per week. Hye, Thanks for the query. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.
