Dear it can be muscle spasm or ligament tear, or any other problem. Get an X ray knee done. revert back with reports. Apply mahanarayan oil on knee and crepe bandage on it twice a day. Take pain killer if pain persists.

Dear lybrate-user, don't take Nutrigain or any other products for wt. Gain. You have to increase your food intake. Eat atleast 5 - 6 times in a day - 3 main meals and 3 in-between meals. Include aloo parathas / paneer parathas in breakfast, lunch & dinner should be 2 -3 chapatis with rice, veg, dal, curd & some salad. Have milkshakes / sweets/ chocolates / ice-creams in between meals. Try this for a month and see if you gain some weight. If not much of change is seen, yiu can buy our wt. Gain packages on Lybrate app.

Seeds That You Must Include in Diet

Akin to nuts, seeds consumed in their raw form also provide essential nutrients such as Vitamin E, mono-saturated fats and fibre to your body and can help in keeping the body and heart healthy and free of diseases. The following seeds are powerhouses of energy and should be added to your diet immediately:

  1. Chia seeds: Chia seeds, which were used in Aztec remedies once upon a time, are currently classified under the super food category. These seeds are packed with fiber and contain Omega-3 which are very good for your body. Chia seeds are often referred to as the complete “protein package”, as they contain low level of amino acids which is why they are effective in lowering hypertension and keeping your junk food yearnings at bay.
  2. Sunflower seeds: These edible seeds extracted from the sunflower plant are underrated and usually thrown away. However, they are packed Vitamin B which consists of folate and vitamin E, all of which are effective antioxidants and help in maintaining a smooth shaft of hair and protect your skin from diseases. Apart from Vitamins, these seeds are loaded with proteins and other essential fats.
  3. Sesame seeds: Unique in their chemical structure, the positive quality of sesame seeds has been harped upon by our ancestors since a long time. Sesame seeds are rich in zinc, calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorous and fiber. These seeds contain fibers known as lignans, which are useful in fighting cholesterol and can help prevent an array of health problems such as liver damage and Post Menstrual Syndrome (PMS).
  4. Pumpkin seeds: Certain research studies claim that pumpkin seeds might thwart the growth and spread of cancerous cells in the male prostate area. These seeds are also loaded with a particular type of anti-oxidant known as carotenoid which is known to block the entry of disease spreading germs, thereby strengthening your immunity system. Apart from carotenoids, these seeds also contain phytosterols which help in maintaining stable cholesterol levels. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dietitian-nutritionist.

I have no illness yet I want to take flaxseed 25 mg, is it harmful for me? And raw or roasted which is better because...
Market and internet is rife with the health benefits of flaxseeds which is a current market rage. Flaxseed or any other oilseed like sesame, etx are all good for health but over consumption Of these can do more harm than good. If consumed daily just a 2.3 gm of these oilseed is enough to keep balance. Roasted or cooked is better than raw.

To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

I am 24 years old. My weight is 50 Kg. By profession I am a full time Blogger/Internet marketer. Every day I wake up around 8.30 am and go for bath. After that I take my meal which is mostly an Omlete with rice (I start my day like that and I don't eat breakfast so you can call it breakfast too). I can't eat much so early morning but try to eat somehow. I feel like I am going to vomit if I eat. After that I go to office at 10 am and have my lunch at 2.00 pm. On lunch I eat noodles/fried stuffs mostly and drink some cold drinks after that. Then after lunch again I comeback to office and keep on working till 7 or 8 pm. Then I comeback home and watch TV or play games on mobile and after that around 10 pm I have my dinner. After dinner again I sit with my laptop and work or browse internet till 1.30 am or 2 am. Then I go to sleep. That means I sleep for 5 to 6 hours daily. As I said I am blogger/internet marketer that's why I have to sit on desk and work on my laptop all the day. Sometimes I feel sleepy specially after lunch. In this way my life is going. Problems: I am underweight and very skinny. I have all the responsibility of my family and that's why most of the time I remain in stress. I have stamina but I can't lift heavy things as I am skinny. I can't eat much whether it is breakfast or lunch or dinner. I want to gain muscle, I want to touch 60 Kg at least as soon as possible. I feel ashame for my body type. Because none of my friends or colleagues are like me and they are healthy and once upon a time they were like me but they have changed overtime. I know my routine life is not perfect. Can you please suggest me or schedule my day how should I spend my day? I mean which things I need to change. And which habits I should avoid? How to start gaining muscle slowly? What I should eat and when? Which exercises I should do? Please help me and schedule/ make a routine for my day (in detail).
