At 23 weeks travelling by car to a distance of 140 kms should not be a problem. Care should be taken not to have too many bumps while travelling. Travelling later in the pregnancy around 34th week on wards should be avoided.

your tsh level is 17.140 it means you have hypothyroidism. thyroxine is good medicine in this. where there is deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Treatment for hypothyroidism is giving thyroxine tablets. And dose are according to level of thyroid for life time. Avoid bad habits . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Go for walk, Take plenty of water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid oily foods, junk foods, go for walk. Do Tests every 3 to 6 months. And consult doctor on time.

when diabetes is uncontrolled in some people it does produce classical symptoms like excess hunger, excess urination and excess thirst, plus unexplained tiredness and weight loss may occur. If you are not on treatment then all these symptoms will keep occurring. Hence please start treatment immediately. Even if you feel hungry at night eating will increase blood sugar.

How to Cope Up With Infertility?

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Internship, MBBS
IVF Specialist, Delhi
The inability to conceive is a painful process among married couples and to deal with the problem is indeed a serious matter. According to reports, one in seven couple in India has fertility problems and sometimes the causes remain unknown. It is said around 10 percent of world’s population is struggling with some form of infertility. The number of people suffering from infertility is growing in India with each passing day, as per latest reports.
Infertility is defined when a couple is unable to conceive after six months to one year of trying despite having unprotected sexual intercourse frequently. There are various factors that contribute infertility. The latest research states, of every 100 couples reporting to fertility clinics, 40% are cases of male infertility, 50% are of women, and the remaining 10% of both partners being infertile. According to doctors, stress and infertility are co-related terms. Here are some of the points that will give you an idea how to find out the problems related with infertility.
Stress
Many couples become stressful after diagnosed with infertility. Women are more stressed than men. women of 32, working with an MNC, had experienced miscarriage due to stress. She could not get pregnant even after going through IVF treatment. Couples who are trying to get pregnant have additional stress.

Sleep disorder
Several studies indicate people who work in night shifts are affected more with infertility as compared to men working in day shifts. Their biological clock is poorly disturbed. These people usually sleep during the day. They damage their health further with smoking, caffeine and other drinks which they take during working hours in order to keep themselves awake. Stress at work, sitting for long hours, also contribute reduction in low sperm count.
Factors contributing to stress which causes infertility may also include marital disturbance, job or business stress, financial losses, personal injury or illness, death of a close family member and late marriage.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. The blood glucose level mentioned looks quite good. However, it is difficult to comment or give any suggestion based on just fasting glucose level about diabetes control. It is necessary to know fasting, PP & HbA1c%, dosage of drugs being taken, lipid profile details, dietary pattern and extent of daily exercise being done daily. Uric acid 4.9 mg is also very normal, it is unlikely to creat any problem. The pain in right foot toe (which toe is not mentioned), may be due to some other cause. Thanks.

Please advise me for further action. My pressure, cholesterol and thyroid are in normal range.

You have not mentioned whether you were taking anti-diabetic medication previously. If not, and if your diabetes is now under control by lifestyle modification only, then it is a very good thing. Just keep up your present life style. However, considering that you have hyoertension and hypothyroidism also, it would be advisable to go for regular check ups every 3 months. You have to especially monitor your fasting blood glucose, hba1c, cholesterol, kidney functions and blood pressure. Rest all is good as lomg as you are not having any symptoms. Thanks.

BHMS

You can continue taking the same dosage and bring some lifestyle changes to help your body work efficiently. Strive to eat only healhty food (more of fruits and vegetables everyday ). Avoid outside food and beverages. Start Yoga and pranayam and be physically active (routine exercise like walking and jogging etc ). Follow up regularly with your doctor. You can later add Homeopathy which is safe and gentle. You can contact me for further details about Homeopathic treatment if interested.
