Change food habites avoid too oily end ghee prepretions fast end junk food. Stop all types of hotel foods. Take simple veg food with green vegitabales salad. You take Ķeva flax oil capsule 1 in morning after breakfast 1 after dinner for a month than consult me.

Hello Lybrate user, atorva is used to control bad cholesterol but it's overdose is harmful -firstly if patient is allergic to it, he may develop hives, swelling of throat, difficult breathing, -secondly he may develop weakness cause of breakdown of muscles -it adversely affect kidney and liver, so may result in dark urine, clay colored stool -there are also chances of developing seizers, blurred speech and vision -rush to emergency if having any such problem -I also advise to know the cause behind taking 30 tab of this med, try to sought out that also.

Dear Lybrateuser, - At your age pain could be due to acidity, anxiety or sedentary life - avoid spicy, fried & junk food - chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time, do not lye down for 1-2 hrs after meals, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime - have 7-8 glasses of water per day for sufficient hydration - have a well balanced diet with more of fruits & green leafy vegetables - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, also yoga, deep breathing, meditation for 10-15 min daily morning to keep you fit.

What is High Blood Pressure?

High blood pressure or hypertension is a condition caused when the force of the blood against the arterial walls exceeds drastically than what it normally is. A blood pressure reading exceeding 140/90 over a prolonged period of time is considered to be ‘high blood pressure’ or diagnosed as ‘hypertension’.

What is Diabetes?

Diabetes is characterized by extremely high levels of blood glucose (blood sugar) in the body, either due to the insufficient secretion of insulin by the pancreas or reduced sensitivity of the body to insulin. This makes your body unable to break down the sugars. At first glance, these two conditions seem completely unrelated, but, according to certain studies, the two conditions do have similar outcomes and could be inter-dependent.

The Connect-

According to the American Diabetes Association, the combination of hypertension and type 2 diabetes is particularly lethal and can significantly raise a person's risk of having a heart attack or stroke. Having type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure also increases your chances of developing other diabetes-related diseases, such as kidney disease, and retinopathy (eye blood vessels), which may cause blindness. There is substantial overlap between diabetes and hypertension, reflecting substantial overlap in their etiology and disease mechanisms. Genetic structure, Obesity, inflammation, oxidative stress, and insulin resistance are thought to be the common pathways. A prospective cohort study in the United States reported that type 2 diabetes mellitus was almost 2.5 times as likely to develop in subjects with hypertension as in subjects with normal blood pressure.

In the Hong Kong Cardiovascular Risk Factor Prevalence Study, only 42% of people with diabetes had normal blood pressure and only 56% of people with hypertension had normal glucose tolerance. There are many minor lifestyle changes that can lower your blood pressure and blood sugar. A brisk walk for 30 to 40 minutes every day, or any aerobic activity can make your heart healthier. In addition to lowering blood pressure and blood sugar, physical activity can strengthen the heart muscle and may reduce arterial stiffness. You may need minor modifications in your diet like, cutting out sugar salt, high-fat meats etc. You can take several servings of vegetables, low-fat dairy products, leans meats and fish or meat substitutes, fruits, whole (not processed) foods, whole-grain pastas, breads, and brown rice etc. While some people can improve their type 2 diabetes and hypertension with lifestyle changes, most require medication.

Depending on their overall health, some people may need more than one medication to reduce their risk. Consult your doctor to choose best possible medicines for your diabetes and / or blood pressure control.

Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. Less sugar, potato, rice 5. 30 mts brisk walk daily 6. Deep breathing exercise for 10 mts daily 7. Meditation daily for 10 mts. 6-8 hrs of sleep at night 8. During pregnancy, women with this condition develop worsened high blood pressure and protein content in the urine. Other health complications are also indicated.
     

    Risks of high blood pressure during pregnancy
    High pressure during pregnancy is associated with several risks. They are as follows:

      1. Decreased flow of blood to the placenta:When When the placenta does not receive sufficient blood, your baby will be deprived of enough oxygen and nutrients. This might cause slow growth, premature birth or low birth weight in your baby. Prematurity also causes breathing trouble in the baby.
      2. Placental abruption:Preeclampsia Preeclampsia increases the risk of placental abruption, where the placenta gets separated from the inner uterine wall before delivery. Severe cases of placental abruption lead to placenta damageand and heavy bleeding.
        • Premature delivery:In In some cases, early delivery of the baby has to be carried out for preventing some life threatening conditions.
       

      For reducing the risk of complications caused by hypertension during pregnancy, it is important for you to consult a doctor regularly throughout pregnancy. Asthma - Know the disease

  1. Asthma is a condition that causes inflammation of the airways, known as trachea and bronchioles.
  2. The muscles around the airways constrict and prevent the smooth flow of air.
  3. The lining of the bronchioles swell and block the airways.
  4. Asthma is mostly triggered by an allergic reaction.
  5. There is a difficulty in breathing out. Exhalation of air is often accompanied by a wheezing, that is, a whistling sound.

The heart is a muscle that pumps blood to the body through a network of arteries and veins controlled by valves. A heart disease could mean a problem in any of these organs, heart per se, the blood vessels, or the valves. Like it or not, heart problem is a chronic condition. It starts without any notice, and for sure, it is not going to go away completely. When there is a person with the chronic condition, it is not just that person who is affected, but the near and dear ones as well.   2. Effects in Response to Postural Change: Almost one-third of the people with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome are noticed to faint as a result of the increased heartbeat, almost 40 beats minutes, instead of the chance in postural position. Other symptoms under this head include a headache, migraine, disturbance in sleep, fatigue, acrocyanosis or blood pooling in feet, etc.
  3. Ehlers- Danlos Syndrome (EDS): Sometimes POTS is found to coexist in an individual with other conditions, such as EDS. This condition makes an individual prone to dislocation of bones, greater laxity in skin, loose- clicking joints, chronic fatigue, reduced level of tolerance towards any exercise, etc. According to medical specialists, though these are common symptoms of POTS, there might also be other signs. These signs and symptoms differ from one person to the other.

Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according your capacity atleast 30 min a day and 5 to 7 days a week in nearly all peoples. Regular exercises helps in reducing weight, decrease lipid level and blood pressure and also helps in controlling blood sugars.
One should have a healthy lifestyle like avoiding fatty, oily and high calorie diet. Individuals should consume five or more servings of fruits and/or vegetables daily. This decreases the risk of coronary heart disease. Individuals should replace refined grains like white bread, white rice with whole grains whole bread and brown rice. This reduces chances of weight gain, coronary artery disease, diabetes.
Should avoid red meat and instead have sea foods, eggs, beans, nuts and seeds as a source of protein. The recommended dietary sodium intake for the general population is less than 2.3 g of sodium or 6 g of sodium chloride. Low sodium intake is associated with decreased risk of hypertension and cardiovascular events, including death.
Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. Sweetened beverages should be avoided. There shouldn't abdominal fat deposition or obesity. Yoga should be included in daily routine and has multiple health benefits.
The american diabetes association (ada) recommends testing at three-year intervals for diabetes in all adults with bmi ≥25 kg/m2 and one or more additional risk factors for diabetes family history, sedentary lifestyle, smoking etc and in individuals without risk factors, testing begin at age 45 years. Also, the individual with risk for heart diseases should be screened for lipid abnormalities.

There some exercises like meditation, pranayams, relaxations etc to control it upto certain extent. If it is very severe or persistent for a long time then better consult with more details so that a proper homeopathic medicines can be prescribed.

Hello Lybrate User, Here are few preventive measures to reduce Cholesterol levels, follow this tips - * Exercise - Do 30 - 45 minutes a day of moderate cardio. It will help s to lose weight and boosts your HDL levels. * Diet - eat more fibers, eat healthy fats i.e. Nuts, olive oil, avocado all have fats that won't increase your LDL, limit cholesterol intake, i.e. Reduce high saturated fat foods like cheese, whole milk. Choose fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, low fat or nonfat dairy products, eat low salt diet. * Quit smoking, limit alcohol and caffeine consumption. * Do practice relaxation and breathing exercises. * Garlic - it helps to reduce high cholesterol. In the morning take a small piece of garlic and crush it and take with glass of water. Your doctor's advice, medicines and lifestyle changes will help u. Diet: it is always important to watch your diet. You are what you eat. Eat what your body needs, reduce refined foods, processed foods and increase the amount of whole grains and fruits and vegetables. Eating small frequent meals goes a long way. Reduce intake of saturated fats; include more lean meats. Choose grilling and steaming over frying and roasting. Recommended foods - Healthy carbohydrates, Fiber-rich foods, Heart-healthy fish and Good fats. Foods to avoid - Saturated fats, Trans fats, Cholesterol and Sodium Exercise: Every week, make sure about 2 hours is dedicated to physical activity. This could include any exercise of your choice, brisk walking, swimming, cycling, aerobics, hiking, jogging, skipping, gymnastics, or playing games like football or basketball. While in most cases, the person can do these on their own, in some people, supervision may be required. Watch your weight: controlling weight to a desirable level of BMI of 18 and 23 is very important. Obesity is one of the predisposing factors for diabetes heart diseases, and reducing weight controls the onset of diabetes and helps the progression of symptoms in diabetics. Smoking: Another risk factor for diabetes onset, palpitation, sleeplessness. Quitting is the best option. If not feasible, reducing smoking and gradually quitting should be aimed at.
