Hi Lybrate user, to lose weight, your fats must be used by your body. For that you have to follow proper diet, exercise & have to take medicines which helps burning fats naturally. You need to do thyroid profile from some lab. Do this 1. Don't overeat 2. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Maintain active life style. This is most important n non negotiable part 7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, carbonated beverages 8. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 9. Drink lot of water. 10. Curd is good for u. 11. Everyday preferably sleep on same time for more details you can consult me.

What could be the dinner options if you are not satisfied with soup or milk with egg whites suggested by the doctor. Because being a overweight teen and student I am not able to cope up with the diet which is very necessary according to my weight now as I don't feel full when I sit to study which spoils my study time. Please suggest me better dinner option according to the conditions and methods to reduce cravings.

You cannot have zero fat in the body. Fat is essential in many body functions right from your hormones being in place, to vitamin absorption and organ support. Minimum 20 to 25% fat is required in the body. You need to start eating a healthy diet customised as per your age, weight, lifestyle and activity. Also some exercise needs to be introduced in your schedule depending weight loss requirements and health goal.

Go for 45 min brisk walk daily.
