It is natural to feel low and miss the person you have lost. However if it is interfering with your sleep, studies or general well being, or if you feel suicidal, you need to consult a psychiatrist. It is common to feel low, cry, feel like you are alone, or lose your self confidence. Usually time is the best healer. However if things are too difficult to handle you should talk to a psychiatrist or counselor. Confide in someone close to you, who will support you in this difficult time. Don't cut off from friends or family, even if you feel like you want to be alone.

If the two of you are in a committed relationship at present, then worrying about what had happened in the past will only spoil your present relationship. It seems there are some insecurities prevalent for you. The best is to talk about any behavior of your partner that upsets you. If it is less of what your partner does but more of your own visualisation without any real reason to be worried about, I ll suggest introspect what is really bothering you. It could be some unresolved issues that are interfering in the present. Short therapy session would be beneficial for you. Last, trust yourself and your partner, most of the times its our own insecurities which ruin a perfect relationship. Take care.

Hey! I Have a husky voice since I was in class 6.I underwent endoscopy and many other test for the change in voice, they said there is no nodules in my voice box but certainly there is dust particles in lungs. I actually want to hear my real voice. I like my voice very much but it's husky and I sometimes feel bad. Isn't there anyway I can get my actual voice.

Hi, As per Ayurveda, voice is controlled by Vata Dosha. For a good voice, you require regular practice and diet control. Along with that, these natural tips might help you improve your voice. 1. Ghee – Take half a teaspoon of ghee, everyday morning, before food. You need to drink a small cup of hot water after taking ghee. Avoid this in cloudy days, when you have cold, cough, fever or indigestion. 2. Chew a small piece of Yashtimadhu – Licorice is known to improve voice. Chewing a small piece of licorice, for a minute or two, helps improve voice. 3. Pepermint Tea: Peppermint tea is the best herbal tea to use if you suffer from a lot of phlegm. Phlegm is every singer’s enemy because it sticks to the back of your throat and you have to clear it while you are singing. The qualities in Peppermint tea reduce phlegm production without drying your voice out, so it’s perfect for singers. Add a little honey if you have a sore throat and it works wonders. Go for the proper leaf stuff that you have to steep in a pot. Quality tea makes a big difference. TIP: Picking fresh leaves from a peppermint plant and steeping them in hot water works just as well as dried out tea leaves. 4. Steaming: Steaming is an age-old secret and it works a treat. Just boil up some water, grab a cooking pot and throw you’re a towel over your head as you breathe in that steamy goodness. If you’re really suffering from a cold, add two drops of Eucalyptus Oil and it will clear you up instantly. Just make sure you don’t put too much in otherwise its vapour can sting your eyes. I am from Ranchi. I am a college going girl. I get very aggressive if the person in front of my doesn't listens to me. I got a habit of throwing phone. I scream and I shout too and even I cry a lot. I can't understand anything when I am angry. Sometimes, I have a thought of killing the person who messes with me. I get normal after 1 or 2 days and even I forget the incident very easily. These are hormonal changes occur in these age, you entered pitta phase of your life, go for walk, breathing exercise, light food. Do not take curd, ferment food, hot spicy food. Take dashmoolarishta 3 tsf twice daily with same amount of water after meal and avipattikar churnam 1 tsf bedtime.

Hi from last 3 years I am not able to live a normal life. When I am alone I think a lot of negative things. Sometimes in my friends I feel lonely. Its like I am not able to breathe properly. While driving a car or sitting in a car I feel the same. Sometimes when I walk or in standing I am having the fear of falling. I feel thirsty always. I need water anytime while walking or sitting or driving. I hav taken shelcal xl 25 for 1 n half years in 2014 to mid of 2015 bcaz of the heart palpitation. But it has gone away. But still I feel depressed and can not able to think properly. I have done my ecg test also but its normal. I need 1 person every time near me. What should I do. I know that its just stress n depression but I can not handle it properly. Kindly suggest asap.

Dear lybrate-user I can understand how problematic it would be when we lack attention and focus at work due to the racing negative thoughts. One noticeable thing is that the negative thoughts are usually automated in nature. There is a new concept regarding positive intelligence and attitude. IT is difficult to practice but definitely with assistance from psychologist within few sessions you would be able to rule out all your apprehensions and worry. Shelcal is not related to these symptoms that you have mentioned and let s do a preliminary analysis of your intensity of symptoms and decide whether any medication is required if at all but a sincere advice would be to engage yourself in psychotherapy sessions. Stress is meant to lead to a feeling aspect of fear which in turn activates our anxiety switch and thus respiratory rate, heart rate, BP rate etc goes to a toss but these symptoms are definitely manageable. IF any difficulty, please feel free to contact or consult us through video consultations if you do not live in Delhi so that we can engage you firstly in educating you about your symptoms and further plan of intervention using CBT (modification of maladaptive automated thoughts) and Mindfulness based stress reduction training. The end of a relationship often feels like the end of the world. After all the time and energy you have invested in it, it is very painful when it gets over. Keep in mind that life is full of ups and downs; nothing is permanent. The pain you feel today will go away with time. Give yourself time to heal. Give time, time. In the meanwhile don't isolate yourself from your friends and family. Confide in someone you are comfortable with. Make a list of life goals, and plan how to achieve them. Relationships are an important part of your life, but they are not everything. Spend time with those close to you, indulge in some enjoyable activities. Keep yourself busy. Slowly you will see that there is a lot to life. However if you are feeling suicidal, consult a psychiatrist immediately. Don't wait to feel worse.

No. It would lead to serious effects. Delrium is a life threatening emergency which you have recovered from. Even lorazepam needs to be stopped and alternatives given. Never think of alcohol. Consult a psychiatrist and seek remedy. All the best.

My husband is taking now depression tab may be because of me and others. He is very emotional like when he gets anger he will his angry on things and he breaks all things. HE seems to be suffering from Borderline Personality or Emotionally unstable personality. The cause is unknown but research suggests there is an interaction between adverse life events and genetic factors. Neurobiological research suggests that abnormalities in the frontolimbic networks are associated with many of the symptoms There is a pattern of sometimes rapid fluctuation from periods of confidence to despair, with fear of abandonment and rejection. There is a particularly strong tendency towards suicidal thinking and self-harm or breaking articles and hurting others physically and emotionally. They have love-hate relationship with close ones. It is also associated with substantial impairment of social, psychological and occupational functioning and quality of life. Its course is variable and, although many people recover over time. It is safe, but not a effective treatment for depression or sleep disturbance. Consult a psychiatrist and get your depressive symptoms evaluated in detail and then seek remedy. All the best.

Hello lybrate-user depression as an illness when lasting for more than two weeks and intense with associated suicidal thoughts or death wishes is considered psychiatric emergency and need immediate treatment if required even inpatient psychiatric treatment. I suggest you please take the person to nearby psychiatric facility.

It is a very good drug having both antidepressant and antipsychotic properties. You have to work with your psychiatrist by expressing your symptoms during review, what was reduced and what has not to help him get you into remission. Lack of motivation is a part of depression which can also be treated, also ask him for CBT from a clinical psychologist which will hasten recovery.
