First you do health check ups if you are suffering from any health problems.Along with this do regular exercise like swimming,skipping,push ups,sit ups,yoga,squats to reduce weight.Avoid sugar,sweetened juice,fast foods,junk foods,processed foods.Eat lots of watery fruits,vegetables Use unrefined foods but not much.Take extra protein to loss weight.Use healthy fats in cooking small amount.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Avoid smoking,alcohol.Use lukewarm water on an empty stomach in the morning Take lukewarm water after meals.Take proper sleep.For proper medication you can visit privately.

I'm concern about my mother who is a diabetic patient since last 2 n half years. It is in controlled sometime and even high sometimes she's 45 years old her feet feels too hot if I do normal house chores. Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details given. However, the information is too general. To suggest anything or give advise I need to know following details: Fasting, PP blood glucose levels, HbA1c%, weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, drugs being taken with dosage, lipid profile, BP readings and presence of anyother complaints. Diabetes can be very well controlled with appropriate medication, strict diet and regular exercise. If blood glucose levels are maintained as follows: fasting < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% <6.8, the person can be absolutely fit and fine. Thanks.

hello sir , take flax seeds early morning empty stomach . take high fiber diet. do walk daily. avoid rice , sugar, maida products, fried food,oily food, junk food egg yolk, mango, banana, glucose , potatoes, pumpkin , extra salt, extra milk. don't skip your meals and breakfast.have small and frequent meals. take hot water with aloe vera juice. take plenty of water.take green tea without sugar. include salad with meals.

Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - * to gain weight, first take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calories food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of bournvita or complan powder with breakfast. * after 2 hours of breakfast, take 2 bananas or a bowl of boiled soyabeans. To increase your hunger & proper digestion of food - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after lunch * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. You can take 2 bowl of careals (moong/chana daal) on the place of curd or cheese. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 10-12 pieces of dry fruits or 3-4 pieces of dates (khajoor). * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. Exercise is very important so that muscles gain mass from the heathy diet. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. I assure you that you definitely gain weight fastly by following them. Be healthy you can consult me privately for your doubts and more detailed treatment.

DEAR Lybrate USER. If you can follow few basic things then you will get better results in short period of time 1) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals 2) don’t drink water one hour before meals and one hour after meal 3) avoid oily, fermented and stale foods 4) drink lukewarm water regularly as possible 5) sleep upto 10.30 pm… 6) do anuloma viloma pranayam regularly early in the morning. 7) avoid cold things, intermittent eating, heavy foods, contact with dust and pollen grains, day time sleeping A) TAKE 20 ml of divya shwasari pravahi of patanjali ayurveda before meals B) take 2 tablets of SWAS-KASA-CHINTAMANI RASA, early in the morning on empty stomach along with 1 tsf of honey and ginger juice. Thanks I am 65 male and suffering from type 2 diabetes and gulose is fasting 140 and pp is 170 what diet should I take ?

Looking at your condition your doctor has rightly put you on a sulfonurea (glimer). A proper measure for knowing and managing your diabetes will be to ensure a hba1c below 6.5%. My guess is you would be around 7.2-7.5%. Regarding diet, we indians have high carbohydrate diet. You have to closely observe your plate and you can come up with a better diet plan for yourself. To simplify it, identify the items which are carb rich in your plate and try to compensate the same with protein and fibres, for eg cut down a roti and increase sabji, dal or salad. To have a better control you can do a monthly self glucose monitoring 3 times a day and keep a track of your food with it. Check fasting sugar, sugar one hour prior your lunch and 2 hrs post lunch, and note down the details of your breakfast and lunch items. Modify as per my earlier suggestions and within a week you will see your blood sugar level responding.

Hye, thanks for the query. Your weight is a balance of calories. Fad diets may promise you that counting carbs or eating a mountain of fruits will make the fats drop. But when it comes to weight loss, it's sensible eating that counts. Weight loss comes down to burning more calories than you take in. You can do that by reducing extra calories from food and beverages, and increasing calories burned through physical activity. Understand that weight /fat loss involves sensible eating. You have to eat the right foods at the right time. Eat small but frequent meals. Take smaller main meals. Take a glass of lime water 10 minutes before meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. All the so called fad, crash, restricted diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, don't forget the bottom line: the key to successful weight loss is a commitment to making indefinite changes in your diet and exercise habits.
