I am 40 yrs old suffering from high blood pressure cholesterol and high uric acid.
High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. Garlic,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines . for uric acid take tab. zyloric 100 mg once a day. tab. bencid 500 mg once a day. tab. naprosyn 500 mg sos for pain.

Home Remedies For Bad Breath in Hindi -

Home Remedies For Bad Breath in Hindi -

Say No To Cholesterol

Diploma in Cardiology, MBBS
Cardiologist, Delhi
Say No To Cholesterol

1. Eat heart-healthy foods

Even if you have years of unhealthy eating under your belt, making a few changes in your diet can reduce cholesterol and improve your heart health.

Choose healthier fats. Saturated fats, found primarily in red meat and dairy products, raise your total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (ldl) cholesterol, the" bad" cholesterol. As a rule, you should get less than 7 percent of your daily calories from saturated fat. Choose leaner cuts of meat, low-fat dairy and monounsaturated fats — found in olive and canola oils — for healthier options.

Eliminate trans fats. Trans fats affect cholesterol levels by increasing the" bad" cholesterol and lowering the" good" cholesterol. This bad combination increases the risk of heart attacks. Trans fats can be found in fried foods and many commercial products, such as cookies, crackers and snack cakes. But don't rely on packages that are labeled" trans fat-free" in the united states, if a food contains less than 0.5 grams of trans fat in a serving, it can be labeled" trans fat-free"

Even small amounts of trans fat can add up if you eat foods that contain small amounts of trans fat. Read the ingredient list, and avoid foods with partially hydrogenated oils.

Eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids don't affect ldl cholesterol. They have other heart benefits, such as helping to increase high-density lipoprotein (hdl, or" good") cholesterol, reducing your triglycerides, a type of fat in your blood, and reducing blood pressure. Some types of fish — such as salmon, mackerel and herring — are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Other good sources of omega-3 fatty acids include walnuts, almonds and ground flaxseeds. Increase soluble fiber. There are two types of fiber — soluble and insoluble. Both have heart-health benefits, but soluble fiber also helps lower your ldl levels. You can add soluble fiber to your diet by eating oats and oat bran, fruits, beans, lentils, and vegetables.

Add whey protein. Whey protein is one of two proteins in dairy products — the other is casein. Whey protein may account for many of the health benefits attributed to dairy. Studies have shown that whey protein given as a supplement lowers both ldl and total cholesterol.

You can find whey protein powders in health food stores and some grocery stores. Follow the package directions for how to use them.

2. Exercise on most days of the week and increase your physical activity

Exercise can improve cholesterol. Moderate physical activity can help raise high-density lipoprotein (hdl) cholesterol, the" good" cholesterol. With your doctor's ok, work up to at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.

Adding physical activity, even in 10-minute intervals several times a day, can help you begin to lose weight. Just be sure that you can keep up the changes you decide to make. Consider:

Taking a brisk daily walk during your lunch hourriding your bike to workswimming lapsplaying a favorite sport

To stay motivated, find an exercise buddy or join an exercise group. And remember, any activity is helpful. Even taking the stairs instead of the elevator or doing a few situps while watching television can make a difference.

3. Quit smoking

If you smoke, stop. Quitting might improve your hdl cholesterol level. And the benefits don't end there.

Within 20 minutes of quitting, your blood pressure and heart rate decrease. Within one year, your risk of heart disease is half that of a smoker. Within 15 years, your risk of heart disease is similar to someone who never smoked.

4. Lose weight

Carrying even a few extra pounds contributes to high cholesterol. Losing as little as 5 to 10 percent of your weight can improve cholesterol levels.
Start by evaluating your eating habits and daily routine. Consider your challenges to weight loss and ways to overcome them.
Small changes add up. If you eat when you're bored or frustrated, take a walk instead. If you pick up fast food for lunch every day, pack something healthier from home. For snacks, munch on carrot sticks or air-popped popcorn instead of potato chips. Don't eat mindlessly.

And look for ways to incorporate more activity into your daily routine, such as using the stairs instead of taking the elevator or parking farther from your office.

5. Drink alcohol only in moderation

Moderate use of alcohol has been linked with higher levels of hdl cholesterol — but the benefits aren't strong enough to recommend alcohol for anyone who doesn't already drink. If you drink alcohol, do so in moderation. For healthy adults, that means up to one drink a day for women of all ages and men older than age 65, and up to two drinks a day for men age 65 and younger.

Too much alcohol can lead to serious health problems, including high blood pressure, heart failure and stroke.

If lifestyle changes aren't enough.

Sometimes healthy lifestyle changes aren't enough to lower cholesterol levels. Make sure the changes you make are ones you can continue to do, and don't be disappointed if you don't see results immediately. If your doctor recommends medication to help lower your cholesterol, take it as prescribed, but continue your lifestyle changes. Lifestyle changes can help you keep your medication dose low.

Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. First and foremost, I would advise you to consult a medical practitioner (allopathic or alternative medicine) for a clinical evaluation, assessment and treatment thereof. You may require to control the same through BP medications should it be an essential hypertension with no specific cause (idiopathic). Should it be secondary, underlying cause, if any, needs to be understood and remedied appropriately to control the rise in BP. Simultaneously, following are a few remedies that you can additionally try to control your hypertension - (a) Restrict salt. Sweets, greasy, oily, fatty and high calorie foods including fast foods are best avoided. (b) Take fennel seeds (1 tsp) post meals. Also, have a clove of fresh garlic twice daily (after food). (c) Streamline your diet & lifestyle. Take a Mediterranean diet mostly. Fresh cold water fish prepared in extra virgin olive oil can be consumed twice a week. In case you are a vegetarian, you may take omega-3 supplements daily. (d) Exercise for at least 30 minutes on a daily basis, walking being the safest. Daily de-stressing and relaxation either through yoga, meditation, listening to soothing music, socializing etc all should be part of the daily routine. (e) Realistic plan your day to day activities, and execute them one by one seamlessly. Avoid a burnout by all means. (f) Try having an uninterrupted & sound sleep of at least 7 - 8 hours on a daily basis. Your bedroom should be kept dark. Try avoiding night bulbs as they are likely to interfere with quality of sleep. Should you have difficulty falling asleep, take medical help immediately. Hope this helps. Do take care and all the very best. Sincerely

If it is only one blood vessel, there is no need, other collateral vessels lying low so far will take over the role of this blocked vessel, but one should keep trying home remedies to dissolve the clot - lemon juice + spoon of honey in warm water does help, people are writing a lot about benefits of apple cider vinegar -no harm or side effects, if there are no symptoms due to blocked vessel, simple walks do wonders in opening up collateral blood vessels of the heart.

Blocks can be removed by LEKHAN herbs as also some herbs like DHAMASA (Fegonia) help dissolve clots in the vessels. These are harmless. However switching to Ayurveda means long term therapy. But I ask one thing: does the Allopathic medicine for such conditions are discontinued any time in life generally. The answer is NO. So wisdom is to prevent such conditions by AYURVEDA principles of 'Dincharya' If emergency happens, allopathic treatment is best for saving life. Gradually the Ayurveda be taken parallel by introducing required Ayurveda medicines. Slowly allopathic may be withdrawn but all the things be done under monitoring of all the modern essential tests and advise of specialists. No pathy is entirely bad or good. Utilization should be to the maximum benefit of human kind. Precautions are no trans fats, restrictions in salt intake, regularity in medicine, adopting Pranayam, meditation, walks, destressing etc If you need to take Ayurveda treatment, pl consult with full details.

Hello lybrate user- in indian conditions where females don't take proper diet it is very common in major part of the population to get this kind of complaints. This might be due to improper food habits and worms in your intestine, or excess bleeding during menses. Try this ayurvedic treatment- a) do not drink coffee and other things to increase your bp it will further ruin your blood quality. B) avoid late night sessions and fast food. C) do not eat too much spicy food and increase dairy products like ghee and milk in your diet. D) practice surya namaskar daily in the morning. E) sttart tablet abhra loha 1 twice daily and shatavari kalpa 1 tsp twice daily. F) if having menstrual disturbances then start ashoka rishta 2 tsp twice daily with water after meals. This treatment not only will make your bp normal but also improve your digestion and make your skin glow.

Monocyte report is normal, range is between 1-10%. You have written a report of your differential count of blood white cells. Blood has 3 types of cells, red blood cells carry a pigment heam, responsible for redness and function is to carry oxygen to different parts of body. Individual test is called hemoglobin, 2) platelets are responsible for clotting, to stop bleeding if there is a cut 3) white blood cells are like soldiers, an army within the blood to protect us from infection, neutrophils are high in acute infections, lymphocytes are high in chronic infections and eosinophils are high when a person has some allergy. Interpretation of your blood report is near normal, with slight rise in lymphocytes. There is nothing to worry. You need no medicine.

Hi, Take Rauvolfia 1x, 2 tabs daily morning empty stomach and 1 tab in the evening. Drink plenty of liquids and cut down your fat, salt and sugar intake. go for a morning walk daily at least for 30 minute. Take a sound sleep and try to avoid anger. Home remedies to Control high BP:-1. Bananas are one fruit that people with high blood pressure can eat regularly to control it. Bananas are a rich source of potassium, which lessens the effect of sodium. So, try to eat one or two bananas daily. Along with bananas, you can try dried apricots, raisins, orange juice, spinach, baked sweet potatoes. 2. Eat one or two crushed garlic cloves daily. You can simply crush them with your hands. Crushing garlic cloves creates hydrogen sulfide, a compound that promotes good blood flow, removes gas and reduces the pressure on the heart. If you do not like eating raw garlic or if it causes a burning sensation, then take it along with a cup of milk. You can also mix five or six drops of garlic juice in four teaspoons of water and take it twice a day.
