Knee Ligament laxity if you have problem in your legs then it might be due to ligament laxity where your legs would become very weak due to the old ligament injury and that should be treated immediately. Wear knee cap so that you will feel firm while walking or climbing stairs. This is a general strain and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try! One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain.

My mother suffer from joint pain, her age is around, 45
Please suggest which doc should consult.
Joint pain can be caused by a number of issues, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, bursitis, tendinitis or a strain, sprain or other injury affecting the ligaments, bursae or tendons surrounding a joint. Severe joint pain, especially when caused by degenerative conditions like arthritis, needs proper diagnosis and treatment. You should consult orthopedic doctor or physiotherapist if her joint pain is accompanied by swelling, redness and tenderness, or lasts for more than three days. But, you can get rid of mild joint pain with the help of natural home remedies. Try hot and cold compresses alternating hot and cold compresses can also help ease joint pain. Heat therapy helps decrease pain, increase blood flow and relax sore muscles and joints. Cold therapy reduces inflammation and numbs the areas around the affected joint. Best wishes.

Hello Sir, Its good to know that you are physically active and taking good care of your joints. Though to get relief from pain, you can make some dietary changes which will definitely help you. 1.Avoid consuming caffeine or eating green leafy vegetables (palak, methi, amaranth) along with calcium-rich food (milk and milk products) as it hinders calcium absorption. Eating meat and chicken should be restricted in case of gout as it increases uric acid formation. Also reduce the amount of salt and refined foods that you consume. 2. It is important to increase the consumption of fish oil, which is the richest source of Omega 3. 3. Eat foods that are rich in calcium, protein, vitamin D, magnesium, zinc, iron, B6 and B12, which can help in the formation of good bone. 4. Antioxidant-rich foods: Add some colour to your diet and include colourful fruits and vegetables. 5. Cruciferous vegetables: Vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage contain the Sulphoraphane compound. It reduces joint pain and inflammation as it blocks the enzyme causing inflammation. 6. Herbs and spices: Make sure you include medicinal herbs and spices to your meals. Ginger, turmeric and cinnamon are known for their anti-inflammatory properties. You can also start taking homeopathic medicines which gives soothing results in case of joint pains. Can contact us online for best results.

How Ayurveda Helps Manage Joint Pain?

How Ayurveda Helps Manage Joint Pain?

In Ayurveda, joint pain is known as 'Sandhigata Vata'. Arthritis and Joint pain are among the most prevalent problems faced by adults, mostly old people. As per ayurveda, 'vata dosha' Is responsible for joint pains and other discomforts associated with it. Natural remedies and proper lifestyle techniques can be utilized to balance the 'vata' to lessen the occurrence and severity of joint pain. Factors including, old age, obesity, injury and strenuous physical activities (that require a lot of joint movements) are responsible for disturbing the balance of your 'vata'.

The following are some ayurvedic home remedies that can be utilized to treat joint pain.

  1. Massage therapy: Warm coconut, castor, mustard, olive or garlic oil can be utilized to massage the affected areas to lessen the intensity of pain. If you massage the affected joints with natural oils, it improves blood circulation and relaxes the swelling and stiffness in the region.
  2. Hot & Cold Compress: Cold and hot compresses can be utilized to ease your joint pain effectively. Heat compression decreases the pain, increases the blood circulation and relaxes the swollen joints and muscles. On the other hand, cold therapy lessens the inflammation of the affected joint. Place hot and cold towel alternatively on the affected area to achieve immediate relief from persistent pain.
  3. Fenugreek: Ingest a teaspoon of ground fenugreek seeds and drink a glass of lukewarm water. Fenugreek has anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties that make it effective for joint pains.Follow this remedy every morning on a regular basis to achieve optimal results.
  4. Turmeric: Add a pinch of turmeric and a teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink this solution on a regular basis for a week. Turmeric contains anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which makes it an excellent remedy for treating joint pains.
  5. Apple cider vinegar: Add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and a little honey to a cup of lukewarm water. Drink this solution twice daily, before your meals. Apple cider vinegar has alkalizing effect, which makes it an effective remedy to remove the toxins that are responsible for causing joint pain.
  6. Healthy diet: A balanced diet that comprises a lot of green leafy vegetables and fresh seasonal fruits is good for your joints. The uncontrolled intake of fatty food, dairy products, and high sodium diet must be avoided in order to avoid arthritis and joint pain. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Ayurveda.
