It usually takes around 10 - 12 weeks for the fracture to unite completely. Depending on the instructions given by the surgeon you will have to start moving your elbow and forearm. It takes an average of 4 - 6 months for you to become funtional to a reasonable level.

This are very non specific complaint and difficult to find out the cause.. I am sure if you will consult a doctor they will give you Vit B12 injections.... My advise is not to take injections. Instead start a multivitamin tablet of a good quality... And also you may take homoeopathic medicine Causticum 30 tds for one day only..

Hi. You can also start doing simple muscle exercises in the morning after you get up. Observe pattern of your anxiety more closely like is anxiety linked to some speific situation, events or some thoughts. Write them down. This will help you understanding your anxiety. Learn some breathing exercises. They help you control the body's response to anxiety and will make you calmer.

Dear dr. I have a pain in my right joint of shoulder. I guess it is call tendo pain. Is it a cervical spondylitis. Have taken physiotherapy for 10 days. Pain has got reliefed but not fully. At some times it pains. Can you suggest what needs to be done.

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Shoulder pain could be due to multiple reasons like tendinitis, arthrosis, rotator cuff pathology etc. Cervical spondylitis is an entirely different pathology so the two should not be confused at all. Your pain could be due to some tendinitis in your shoulder. But since physical therapy has helped you, I advise to continue the same and take short course anti-inflammatory medication for 5-7 days. Please let me know if your pain increases, or if it is associated with any other issue? do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR Chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back Sacral Vertebrae. That is where the Sciatic nerve passes by and the nerve gets compressed that's the reason you have pain and sensation is disturbed. Pain in the left side of the leg/thigh The compression of the sciatic nerve should be around the right side that's the reason you have pain in the left side. That's the reason you cannot sit or stand and it is exactly around the L5 vertebrae where the sciatic nerve passes by. It can also be due to the strain on the left leg, try wearing MCR chappals which would help you to get relieved from pai Physiotherapy Treatment If you have low back pain and sciatica you can undergo intermittent pelvic traction where in your half of your body weight will be added in the electronic traction so that that would help you to reduce the pain, along with Interferential therapy stimulations which would help you to get relieved from the radiating pain. Apply ice for the pain to get subsided immediately.
