I inserted my penis inside my girlfriend just 2 inches inside. I did this twice I put it inside and removed it out twice. This happened today 13th may her periods date is on 17th may. If she gets her periods after 17th does it mean she is not pregnant. Is it possible that she could get pregnant? Does her next month period also matter with this.

If she has her scheduled periods due on 17th may watch for it. If she has her periods regularly she is not pregnant for sure. If she misses it then confirm whether she is pregnant or not using a urine pregnancy kit.

PCOD - How it Affects You?

MD, MBBS, Advanced Infertility
Gynaecologist, Jalandhar
PCOD - How it Affects You?

PCOD or polycystic Ovary Disorder is one of the most common disorders of hormones among women in the age of reproduction. It is yet not discovered why some women become susceptible to this disease and it is believed to be a genetic disorder. The word “polycystic” refers to multiple cysts and a woman suffering from PCOD has multiple cysts in her ovary. This is due to the imbalance of hormones, which don’t allow the ovary to release eggs every month and these numerous unreleased eggs present in the ovary cause it to become polycystic.

What are the symptoms of PCOD?
The regular release of eggs from the ovaries directs a woman’s fertility and allows her to have a normal menstrual cycle. Therefore, women with PCOD face difficulty in conceiving along with irregular, low and absent periods. Some of the most common symptoms of PCOD include infertility and even miscarriage, elevated insulin levels, high blood pressure, diabetes, acne, unhealthy weight gain and obesity. It also leads to loss of hair from the scalp and excessive growth of hair on the body. This is due to over production of male hormones that lead to male pattern of growth of hair, such as on chest, cheek, chin and inner thighs. The hormonal imbalance leads to weight gain and obesity makes the hormonal imbalance even worse, turning it into a vicious cycle.

How is PCOD diagnosed and treated?
Your gynaecologist would be able to determine whether you have PCOD by checking your symptoms. Then she would recommend you to do a few blood tests along with a pelvic ultrasound scan to confirm whether you have PCOD. Though this disease is not reversible, its symptoms may be reduced or minimised. Most women can lead a trouble-free and healthy life if they take proper precautions at the right time.

It has been pointed in several studies that reduction in weight can help in the improvement of most PCOD symptoms because fat contributes to the production of certain hormones. Your doctor will prepare a treatment plan depending on the aspect from which you are suffering. For instance, if you are suffering from irregular periods, your doctor may prescribe you some contraceptives which can help in restoring normal menstrual cycle. But this treatment is definitely unsuitable for those who are trying to conceive. The infrequent and irregular ovulation can make it difficult to conceive and it can be artificially induced with the aid of medications. So, you must consult a gynaecologist to help your situation.

There is no need to have tension however Pregnancy can occur only one day of cycle that is ovulation day so unprotected sex around that day only important. As only one day in month nature should be given 12-24 trials before you need any active management by Gynecologist or infertility specialist.

You can try for spontaneous conception (try to have intercourse during fertile period that is from 10 th to 17 th day, if you have not tried at all till now. If it's more than one year since you have been trying for a baby, then some tests will be required like husbands semen analysis, wife's ovulation studies, tube test, hormonal tests and endometrial (uterine lining) studies.

It's been 5 months I got married And it's from then she is trying to conceive. We do have frequent intercourse. But she doesn't conceive Also in last 4 months she didn't have proper periods period where it varied from 22 days to 27 days. Also after intercourse I see that the fluid runs out of her vagina Later after intercourse she used to stay ideal with back upward so that the fluid can enter in. And waited for 30 mins in same pasture. When position changed to normal again the fluid started flowing out. She wishes badly to be a mother soon What we should do so that she can conceive.

Do not be too impatient. Both of you r too young. Take your time. Usually after intercourse maximum semen comes out, so there is nothing to worry about. Sperms do travel upside. You sud go for midcycle relations on alternate day or daily. That ll increase chances of pregnancy. Try for at least one year on your own. If you do not conceive then ll examine.

Once ovulation happens egg will stay alive in your tract for 24 hours and the sperm once ejaculated inside your tract will be alive for 24 hours.Hence during ovulation alternate day if you have intercourse it is enough.

Abortion is not good for health, you should do only if you don't want another baby. But if you want to delay another childbirth you should use contraceptive. She aborted the second just now, and you are asking which is the better time to have the next baby, it is not a game, you are playing with your wife's health. Wait for two years and then only if you really want a baby try.
