I am 26 years old Male. Although I am taking good food still I am becoming lean day by day and not increasing weight. Like I eat chicken daily twice and lots of paneer and other fatty food. I don't do any physical exercise. What should I do? Please advise. I don't have any digestion issues. I have some inhelliing problem. Once I consult doctor and he said there is some bend in nose need to correct by surgery.

Hi improving your diet and lifestyle is the best way to lose weight. Make small target of losing 2-4 kg per month. Eat breakfast as soon as you wake up. Eat three fruits per day. Drink plenty of water. Eat high fiber vegetables and low fat protein sources. Walk for thirty min minimum daily.

Dear Doctor, Suddenly (with time frame of 6 months) my waist size increased to 36" from 34" so that I could not able wear fat which was bought before. I am weighing about 70 kg (no change) and 169 cm Height. I do walking regularly for 30 min in the morning and doing Sri Sri yoga for 30 min. My recent Blood test (Wellness B )taken at Thyrocare report all are normal except 25-OH Vit D of value 10.74 ng/ml for which it was advised by Dr. Bharti Sharma to take Calcirol sachet for 2 month once a week. Pl suggest how to reduce my waist size as before naturally. Thanks with regards,

Alcohol In Controlled Quantity - Can It Be Good For You?

For long, there have been campaigns and discussions about the harmful effects and diseases associated with alcohol consumption. In most cases, it is not the alcohol, but the quantity consumed that affects a person. Limited consumption of alcohol can, in fact, work to your advantage. Alcohol, when consumed in moderation, helps to avert, check or improve many medical conditions and health ailments.

  1. Deal with common cold effectively: According to research, the antioxidants present in wine helps to fight common cold better. Limited intake of alcohol, red wine to be precise (~1-2 glasses per day), can, thus, help to reduce the instances of common cold significantly.
  2. Weight loss made easy: Studies conducted by the Oregon State University suggest that certain varieties red wine (the Red Muscadine Wine) can play a pivotal role in weight reduction. The Red Muscadine, a variety of wine grapes used to make red wine contains ellagic acid. It is this ellagic acid that helps to cease or slow down the growth and development of the fat cells. Red wine also helps to manage fatty liver effectively.
  3. Keep cardiovascular diseases at bay: The high-density lipoprotein (HDL), also known as the Good Cholesterol is indeed good for the body. It acts as a shield, keeping the heart hale and hearty. Moderate alcohol consumption helps to elevate the level of HDL. One of the main reasons attributing to heart attacks are the small blood clots that block the arteries of the brain, heart, and neck. Alcohol (limited intake) has been able to put a check in the formation of such blood clots.
  4. Reduced instances of cognitive impairment: Reports suggest that people who consume alcohol within limits are less likely to develop dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Moderate consumption tends to make the brain cells fit and more active, thus, enabling the cells to deal with stress and other related factors.
  5. A little wine for a better libido: Limited consumption of wine is good for a better sexual life. Research indicate that the antioxidants present in wine act as a catalyst, resulting in an improved libido (lowers the incidences of erectile dysfunction in men). A little wine can work wonders for women as well (increasing their sexual desires and feelings).
  6. Enjoy a diabetes-free life: Type 2 Diabetes and the associated ailments and complications can make life miserable. However, people who consume a small quantity of alcohol (preferably 1-2 glasses per day) are at a lower risk of developing diabetes (Type 2). A path-breaking finding indeed!

People with moderate alcohol consumption are also at a lower risk of developing gallstones. The high silicone content in beer helps to strengthen the bones, but only when consumed within limits. Beer is also rich in calcium, magnesium, and vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin). If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a general physician.

Hi here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. Eat More. Eat more calories than your body burns. Eat More Meals. Small meals are easier to eat than big ones. Eat Caloric Dense Foods. Food high in carbs and/or fats has more calories per serving. Eat More Protein. Go Liquid. Track Calories. Lift Heavy. Be Consistent.

Yoga will improve your overall health and metabolism that can help you increase weight. Do pranayam and suryanamaskar daily but make sure you eat 6 healthy diets daily.

Body pain could be due to 1. Stress/depression, severe physical/mental exertion, 2. Anaemia, flu, low vitamin d/b12/calcium, 3. Diabete/hypothyroidism, peripheral neuropathy, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, 4. Get your blood examined for hemoglobin, vitamin d3, vitamin b12, calcium. Consult physician with report for advice and treatment.
