I am suffering from knee pain since 2 month. Please tell me the permanent solution.
Hello after reading your question I reliazed that you require a session of physio for a week. Exercises like pressing the knee down on a towel while in lying position and holding for 10seconds. This will enable good muscle contraction. After 10 secs you can release the knee. Exercise - raise the leg upto 40 degrees and hold for 10 secs. Then release the leg. Squeeze a towel inbetween the knees. Hold for 10 secs. If your going for walks a knee cap would be advisable. This provides anterior and posterior support to the knee.

Joint pain can be caused by a number of issues, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, bursitis, tendinitis or a strain, sprain or other injury affecting the ligaments, bursae or tendons surrounding a joint. It can occur in any part of the body but is most common in the knees, shoulders and hips. The pain can range from mild to severe and may be accompanied by swelling and stiffness in one or more joints. Severe joint pain, especially when caused by degenerative conditions like arthritis, needs proper diagnosis and treatment. You should also consult your doctor if your joint pain is accompanied by swelling, redness and tenderness, or lasts for more than three days. But, you can get rid of mild joint pain with the help of natural home remedies. Cayenne cayenne pepper contains a compound called capsaicin with natural analgesic or pain-relieving properties. In a 2010 study published in the journal of the medical association of thailand, researchers found that applying gel containing 0.0125 percent capsaicin helped relieve mild to moderate pain in women suffering from knee osteoarthritis? slightly heat one-half cup of coconut oil. Mix in two tablespoons of cayenne pepper powder. Apply it on the affected area, leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse it off. Do this a few times a day until you get relief from the pain? alternatively, you can use a capsaicin cream topically on the affected area daily. Note: cayenne may initially cause a burning sensation. Do not apply it on open skin or wounds. Garlic being rich in sulfur and selenium, garlic is beneficial for those suffering from arthritis and joint pain. Sulfur helps relieve joint pain and inflammation and, according to research, selenium may have an antirheumatic effect. Also, arthritic patients tend to have low levels of selenium in the blood? include raw or cooked garlic in your diet. You can safely consume two or three garlic cloves daily. If you are deterred by the smell or taste of garlic, consider taking garlic supplements (follow the directions on the label). You can also fry two garlic cloves in two tablespoons of mustard or sesame oil. When the garlic cloves turn black, turn off the heat and strain the oil. Allow the oil to cool until it is comfortably warm, and then massage it into the skin around affected area. Leave it on for about three hours before washing it off. Do this twice daily until you see improvement for treatment consult privately any queries inform me.

Dear, low back pain are often referred for physical therapy for four weeks as an initial conservative (nonsurgical) treatment option before considering other more aggressive treatments, including back surgery. The goals of physical therapy are to decrease back pain, increase function, and teach the patient a maintenance program to prevent future back problems. Common forms of physical therapy include: 1.Passive physical therapy (modalities), which includes things done to the patient, such as heat application, ice packs and electrical stimulation. For example, a heating pad may be applied to warm up the muscles prior to doing exercising and stretching, and an ice pack may be used afterward to sooth the muscles and soft tissues. OSee Physical Therapy: Passive PT (Modalities) for Back Pain 2.Active physical therapy, which focuses on specific exercises and stretching. For most low back pain treatments, active exercise is the focus of the physical therapy program. This article focuses on active physical therapy and exercise as a means to help recover from back problems and prevent or minimize future flare-ups of low back pain Low back pain has lasted between two and six weeks, or if there are frequent recurrences of low back pain, physical therapy is often recommended. Some spine specialists consider physical therapy sooner, particularly if the pain is severe. •Read more: Exercise and Back Pain In general, the goals of physical therapy are to decrease pain, increase function, and provide education on a maintenance program to prevent further recurrences. A physical therapy program for back pain usually has two components: 1.Passive physical therapy to help reduce the patient's pain to a more manageable level 2.Active exercises Passive Physical Therapy - Modalities Acutely, the physical therapist may focus on decreasing pain with passive physical therapy (modalities). These therapies are considered passive because they are done to the patient. Examples of modalities include: •Heat/ice packs •TENS units •Iontophoresis •Ultrasound.

Plantar fasciitis (HEEL Pain)

Master Of Surgery, DNB (Orthopedics)

Ask Free Question
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. The plantar fascia, that runs across the bottom of foot and connects heel bone to your toes gets inflamed. Plantar fasciitis commonly causes stabbing pain that usually occurs with your very first steps in the morning. The pain of plantar fasciitis normally decreases after taking few steps, but it may return after long periods of standing or after getting up from a seated position. Plantar fasciitis is particularly common in runners. In addition, people who are overweight and those who wear shoes with inadequate support are at risk of plantar fasciitis. Under normal circumstances, plantar fascia acts like a shock-absorbing bowstring, supporting the arch in foot. If tension on that bowstring becomes too great, it can create small tears in the fascia. Repetitive stretching and tearing can cause the fascia to become irritated or inflamed. Factors that may increase your risk of developing plantar fasciitis include:

Certain types of exercise.
Faulty foot mechanics.
Obesity.
Occupations that keep you on your feet
Ignoring plantar fasciitis may result in chronic heel pain that hinders regular activities. Change in the way of walking to minimize plantar fasciitis pain, develops foot, knee, hip or back problems. What to expect from your doctor:

Do your symptoms tend to occur at a particular time of day?
What types of shoes do you usually wear?
Are you a runner, or do you participate in any sports that involve running?
Do you have a physically demanding job?
Have you experienced any injuries to your feet in the past?
Besides your foot, do you feel pain anywhere else?
What, if anything, seems to improve your symptoms?
What, if anything, appears to worsen your symptoms?
During the physical exam, your doctor checks for points of tenderness in your foot. The location of your pain can help determine its cause. Test may include x-ray, mri and ct scan. Sometimes an x-ray shows a spur of bone projecting forward from the heel bone. In the past, these bone spurs were often blamed for heel pain and removed surgically. But many people who have bone spurs on their heels have no heel pain.

Medications, pain drugs, therapies, stretching and strengthening exercises or use of specialized devices may provide symptom relief. These include:

Physical therapy.
Night splints.
Orthotics.
Surgical or other procedures
When more-conservative measures aren't working, steroid shots, extracorporeal shock wave therapy. Surgery to reduce the pain of plantar fasciitis, try these self-care tips:

Maintain a healthy weight.
Choose supportive shoes.
Don't wear worn-out athletic shoes.
Change your sport.
Apply ice
Stretch your arches.
