Hello lybrate user if there s Only joint pain without any infection then simply you can do warm water hand exercises daily and try to take short breaks /intervals while doing household &kitchen work. exercises with spongy ball and hand exerciser will be helpful.keep in mind do exercises with some rest time thrice a day.

Hi I am having pain in the both the thumbs and the pain has penetrated to the bones. I work in IT and typing makes my thumbs more painful. I do thumb exercises still the pain remains. Its more than a year. Please suggest.

Could be repetitive stress injury avoid typing and using your phone frequently use thumb spica splint.

Since a month I have pain on my right leg and unable to bend it. The Xray shows I have Sciatica. I have IVDP and degeneration on L4 and L5. The sciatica pain starts from the back to the under the right knee. The medicines which I am using (Feldex, Gabaneuron and Orcid)

Hi Take rest. Do hot Fomentation twice daily. Start gentle back care exercises. Avoid forward bending. Avoid lifting weights. Avoid prolonged standing and sitting. Postural care while sitting, standing,watching TV, working on desktop etc. Use Lumbo sacral belt while driving, walking or standing to support your back. Visit nearby physiotherapy center to get relieved from pain and to learn proper back care exercises. Take care.

Sir, my fifth metacarpal had fracture on 4 march, but I couldn't take the treatment bcz my 12th examination was started from 5th of March. When I go to doctor now they say that your fracture is repaired so no bandage is required. I feel a band in my 5th metacarpal. Is it makes any problem in future or there is any disadvantage of it. Please tell me.

It's almost a month since fracture it might be healed by now. Nothing to do now. Don't get it hand massage done by anyone. You can apply crepe bandage if you like and take analgesic if you feel any pain at any sort of time. Start with it activities gradually with this hand and gradually lift the weight. Don't worry about the band. For further assistance you can send x-ray personally and can further discuss on this.

I'm facing a problem like, upper back pain that is beside middle of spinal cord. When I'm bending or moving my side ways it's paining slightly. So pls let me know if there is any remedy to to get relief of that. And also let me know the what causing the pain.

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same. Do share investigation reports if you have any.
