It shows that your bone are weak and you are lacking physical strength A number of factors can affect bone health. For example: •The amount of calcium in your diet. A diet low in calcium contributes to diminished bone density, early bone loss and an increased risk of fractures. •Physical activity---. People who are physically inactive have a higher risk of osteoporosis than do their more-active counterparts.----- •Tobacco and alcohol use. Research suggests that tobacco use contributes to weak bones. Similarly, regularly having more than two alcoholic drinks a day increases the risk of osteoporosis, possibly because alcohol can interfere with the body's ability to absorb calcium.---- •Size and age.--- You're at greater risk of osteoporosis. As you're having less weight as compared to your height (with a body mass index of 19 or less) because you may have less bone mass to draw from as you age. Also your bones will become thinner and weaker as you age.---- •You should get 1, 000 milligrams of calcium and 200 international units (IUs) of vitamin D a day. •Foods for healthy bones include Yogurt, Milk, Cheese, Eggs, Salmon, Spinach, Fortified Cereals, Tuna, Collard greens, and Orange juice

Please apply ice pack for 15mins over the painful area thrice a day for three days . It will surely subside if it's only a muscle strain.

Myelomalacia is a pathological term referring to the softening of the spinal cord. Hemorrhagic infarction (bleeding) of the spinal cord can occur as a sequela to acute injury, such as that caused by intervertebral disc extrusion (being forced or pressed out). The symptoms associated with myelomalacia. “cervical spondylotic myelophaty (myelomalacia) can cause variety of symptoms and some of them can last for years. Here are some: pain in neck, sub-scapular area, shoulder; sensory changes in lower extremities, motor weakness in the upper or lower extremities; numbness or parenthesis in the upper extremities; gait difficulties, like “spastic gait” that is broad-based, hesitant and jerky; upper extremity hypo- reflexia and atrophy, also bladder and bowel dysfunction may occur.” There is no known treatment to reverse nerve damage due to myelomalacia. In some cases, surgery may slow or stop further damage. As motor function degenerates, muscle spasticity and atrophy may occur. Steroids may be prescribed to reduce swelling of the spinal cord, pain, and spasticity.[citation needed] Research is underway to consider the potential of stem cells for treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. There are, however, no approved stem cell therapies for myelomalacia.

I have pain in heel of left foot. No other problem. All tests are normal. Lipid profile, uric acid.
Mr. Lybrate-user, the problem as described appears to be plantar fasciaitis. This occurs due to inflammation of plantar fascia. Occasional pain killers are useful. But most importantly certain exercises like standing on toes, walking a few steps on toes, stretching the ligament by pulling the foot towards you while keeping the lower limb straight, with a belt and holding it in that position for 20 counts, doing the same for a number of time daily, can help. Spot jogging on toes can also help. Using soft foot wear is also useful.

What's the symptoms of arthritis. My mother has joint pain in all over the body kindly suggest the treatment.

What's the symptoms of arthritis. My mother has joint pain in all over the body kindly suggest the treatment.
Dear user The most common signs and symptoms of arthritis involve the joints. Depending on the type of arthritis you have, your signs and symptoms may include: PainStiffness Swelling Redness Decreased range of motion CAUSES. Rheumatoid arthritis vs. Osteoarthritis The two main types of arthritis — osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis — damage joints in different ways. Osteoarthritis The most common type of arthritis, osteoarthritis involves wear-and-tear damage to your joint's cartilage — the hard, slick coating on the ends of bones. Enough damage can result in bone grinding directly on bone, which causes pain and restricted movement. This wear and tear can occur over many years, or it can be hastened by a joint injury or infection. Rheumatoid arthritis In rheumatoid arthritis, the body's immune system attacks the lining of the joint capsule, a tough membrane that encloses all the joint parts. This lining, known as the synovial membrane, becomes inflamed and swollen. The disease process can eventually destroy cartilage and bone within the join.
