Hi, two days back I am diagnosed with cholelithiasis. It is 2.2 cm. Doctors suggested immediate surgery. I had undergone c section 4 months ago. Am very much worried. Currently am suffering with constipation. It's been nearly 10 days I haven't passed the stools properly, will that become a problem during surgery? Am having piles also. Is there any way to dissolve that stone using medicines. Am really scared of this surgery. Will they usually give enema before surgery? Please answer all my queries.

Cholelithiasis Only treatment of cholelithiasis is surgery .get it done As early as possible before it causes problem. Piles can be painful and can cause bleeding. Conservative measures like taking high fibre diet ,loads of fruits ,vegetables ,salad and laxatives or allopathic or homeopathic medication after doctor consult can solve your problem temporarily. Definitive treatment is surgical management .laser treatment of piles is the latest modality .it is painless 10 min surgery .there are no dressing post surgery .you would be given a proper diet chart and certain pelvic floor exercise to be taught to you to avoid constipation. You can also consult me through Lybrate for further details.

Dear sir, the cartilage lessons are minimal only. No need of intervention. If glucosamine is not useful, take collagen supplements available in the market. Regards.

Since last two days I have pain in muscles ribs. Even problem in sitting standing walking. If I touched anywhere in abdomen reason I pained badly .why this happens?
The pain you’re feeling just under the ribs along the abdomen is likely caused by muscle strain. Most of the time, abdominal strains occur within the rectus abdominis muscles, the pair of muscles that run along the anterior wall of your abdomen. If you feel pain under your ribs, Ice the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes, several times throughout the day. Icing draws blood away from the injury site, lessens inflammation and alleviates pain. You may also want to wrap the abdominals to further minimize inflammation. Contact a doctor or sports physician to take a look at the injury and determine the best plan for treatment.
I am 26 years old bachelor working girl. I am facing back ache due to muscle spain. I am just doing light exercise and applying fast relief gel. It gets worse when I wake up from bed. I require support to get up. Can I go for physiotherapy? Does it have any side effects?
I am 40 years old. I have a knee problem. If I sit on a floor I am unable to get up fastly. Please advice
Physiotherapy exercises can help relieve pain and restore joint flexibility. They also strengthen the muscles surrounding the joints, which may lower the risk of future injuries. Depending on the cause of knee pain, your therapist can recommend: Hamstring stretches Calf stretches Standing quadriceps stretches Seated leg raises Step-ups Straight-leg lifts Single-leg dips Hamstring curls Wall squats Half squats Knee stabilization series Static hamstring contractions Sit/stands Heel cord stretches Leg extensions Hip abductions and adductions Leg presses with resistance bands A custom exercise plan will help you return in ADL. Physio treatment can include a mix of stretching, strengthening, and flexibility exercises. And use alovera, salakhi, twin stem sachet, guggal/suth, and rise on syrup. This all procedure make your joint healthy and you return in you ADL as previously asap.

I am 42 years in age, constant knee pain, vitamin d level were low, now in range. X done of knee joint. It states A.P/LAT Views. Bilateral early degenerative osteoarthritis changes.
Hi lybrate-user early osteoarthritis changes respond well with physiotherapy and medication, I don't think vit d level would matter much for knee pain that's other entity, I would suggest start knee static and quads exercises with avoiding squatting sitting cross leg you Will feel better, consult for more information.

As arthritis is very common that you get generally bilaterally. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation. Wear knee cap so that you will feel firm while walking or climbing stairs. This is a general strain and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try! One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain.
