My stay in Delhi since the last 5 years, has led to a continuous hair fall, reduced hair density and thin hairs, due poor quality of water supply, level of chlorine and ammonia, frequent switch to boring water (closure of water supply from haryana due jat agitation in last few months) and poor dietary habits of mess food. Any suggestions to maintain my hairs. Thank you Vishal mishra Vishalcharvaka@gmail. Com.

Hi lybrate-user even after dalk you need to wear glasses as the procedure is correcting the pathology of kertoconus and not a refractive surgery. Sure the unva will improve after dalk but you have to wear glasses or lenses. Exact vision can't be predicted before surgery.

My daughter stays in hostel away from house. She has been alloted a sharing room with two girls, but at night she doesn't sleep in her room but in others room,we have requested to change the room, they changed but still she doesn't sleep in her room,we are worried because if we ask about it she doesn't give any convince able answer.May be she is on some addiction,we want to help her but don't know how to do?

Hello Teenagers are getting into bad things now a days. Those staying in hostel, are more prone to get it. Being as a hosteler, I can personally feel what all is going in your mind. Well, ask her friendly the reason behind sleeping in others room & in case if you are not satisfied, follow the friends of your daughter on Facebook. What ever teenagers they do, they are keen of posting and sharing on social media to gain publicity. Rest, you can simply follow her without letting her down. She may lost her moral. Be calm and try to become friend of your daughter. Spend more time with her. Start taking her to shopping and other places, so that she would start spending more time with you. This is how one will get to know the reason behind her activities. Sometimes, when a person doesn't gets love/attention from family, he runs here and there to get attention/love/care. Start giving her full attention. Hope she will come back on right platform soon.

I masturbate for 3 to 4 times a week for my sexual pleasure, does I have to reduce my masturbation or its ok to do 4 times a week.

I masturbate for 3 to 4 times a week for my sexual pleasure, does I have to reduce my masturbation or its ok to do 4 ...
1. Excessive masturbation of 4 or more times in a day, daily is physiologically almost impossible. After repeated masturbation acts our testosterone level get burnt out. We simply don't feel the urge anymore and naturally, we don't tend to get the erection. Nature has its own way of limitations. This is what is happening with you. But this effect is short-term. You will soon regain your sexual urge and the proper erection after you stop masturbation for a few weeks! but yes, masturbation is a healthy sexual habit but when it exceeds 3/4 times a week and that too regular. Or when it becomes an obsessive compulsive act as you have mentioned, then there are lots of dangerous side effects. Apart from sexual side effects like impotence, loss of libido, premature ejaculation etc. It will harm your physical, mental, and psychological health. It will lead to anxiety, depression, concentration problems among others.

Why Iron Is the Most Underrated Factor in Health

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Why Iron Is the Most Underrated Factor in Health

Iron is definitely one of the most important ingredients and nutrients that we require. Most of the health problems in the world are caused due to iron deficiency, including low immunity and anaemia, among many others. The lack of iron can lead to a variety of development delays and can also affect the haemoglobin levels in the blood which gives rise to symptoms like dizzy spells and fatigue.

So what are the underrated facts about iron that we need to know? Read on to know more!

  1. Transport of Oxygen: Iron is credited with the transport of oxygen within the human body. It is a well known fact that all the cells, atoms and tissues in our body need oxygen, in order to grow and maintain livelihood. The red blood cells in our body are a good source of this oxygen as they contain an iron rich protein called haemoglobin. This element is what takes the oxygen which is later released in a more targeted manner. While two grams of oxygen can exist in the cells at any given point, this supply can diminish if the dietary iron intake reduces which can lead to a condition called anaemia.
  2. Production of Energy: Iron is also an element that helps in the metabolism, which has great implications for the various organs and muscles of the human body. The cells of our body are known to burn these calories in the diet so as to create energy which activates these organs. If the iron resources become low in these cells, then the process does not take place in a proper manner, which can lead to symptoms like fatigue before the organ functionality gets compromised.
  3. Iron Rich Food: The kind of foods and materials contain iron include legumes, lentils, fish, tofu, seafood, pork, soybeans, liver, green vegetables like spinach and ladies fingers, raisins, strawberries, and other fortified food like cereals. It is a well known fact that plant foods tend to contain lower levels of iron as compared to animal foods like red meat. Also, there are many spices that are rich in iron including cumin and cardamom, which can be used on a daily basis to pepper your salads and stir fry preparations.
  4. Cooking and Storage: Iron usually gets sucked out of food when the food is cooked for long or processed and packaged under highly intense condition or with excessive salt additives. Also, when you cook plant sources too much, then the iron can escape by way of the water that it leaves, which evaporates.

Find out a good way to bring iron into your diet, but remember that too much of iron can also lead to toxicity.

I am a forty five year old man. I have cholesterol from last year. I tried exercising, dieting, stopped eating fatty foods and many more things. But my cholesterol is not becoming low. Please give me a solution for this.

BHMS
Homeopath,
I am a forty five year old man. I have cholesterol from last year. I tried exercising, dieting, stopped eating fatty ...
Dear lybrate-user, cholesterol is naturally produced inside the body of every living animal. Human beings are no exception to that. But when we take mutton, chicken, yellow part of a boiled egg, ghee, butter etc we intake cholesterol from external source. This extra cholesterol from external sources increase the total cholesterol content of human body. You should always keep your cholesterol level within normal limits as high cholesterol serves as a precursor to various cardiac diseases. Avoid the aforesaid food. Walk at least 1 hour in a day without any interval. Also you can take homoeopathic mother tincture fucus vesiculosus q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water.

Hi, I am 45 year old. I use to do masturbation weekly 3 times since 20 years of age. Still I am continue to do weekly 1 time. I feel better during masturbation than intercourse with my wife. Is it harmful to the health. Please advice.

Hi, I am 45 year old. I use to do masturbation weekly 3 times since 20 years of age. Still I am continue to do weekly...
Infrequent Masturbation is a natural sexual practice. Myths about masturbation are something that has been around for centuries, being handed down from one generation to another. These myths have made a lot people, especially the younger generation; imagine that there is a problem where none existed. The act of infrequent masturbation is as natural as making love, and, just like sexual intercourse it does not have any adverse effects on your health. Things like it causes acne, impotence, dark circles around the eyes etc. Are just unfounded assumptions and are not correct. Is regular sexual intercourse bad for you? Then how can infrequent masturbation be bad for you as it only mimics the sexual act. One can masturbate up to a couple of times a week with no ill effects. You just need to be aware about the difference between excessive masturbation and compulsive masturbation. The latter can lead to a few problems, if you feel that you masturbate compulsively, and then it is a good idea to contact me in person through Lybrate for help. Masturbation trains us to think that sexual desire is something that should be satisfied immediately, and it reinforces the idea that sex is about selfish instant gratification. While love is all about giving and sacrificing one's desires for the needs of another person, infrequent masturbation is all about training us to do whatever we want to feel good. Masturbation slowly but surely destroys our ability to give and receive love. It is just a way to release sexual tension While a man who frequently masturbates may find that he has a lower volume of semen per ejaculation, he would not run out, and he won't become infertile. His testicles begin producing and storing sperm during puberty and this sperm production continues throughout much of his adult life. It is a myth that satisfying yourself sexually will diminish your performance in bed. Certainly too frequent indulgence in sex causes abnormal flow of Vital force to Brain, all physical parts and organs of Body, this may lead to forgetfulness like short term memory loss and other corporal ailments from loss of Vital Fluids. Frequently and too much loss of Vital Fluids affects almost all organs systems. But excess of Vital Fluids also have it's own disadvantage and consequences. Infrequent seminal discharges maybe Good for your Health.
