Hi, If you're looking to maintain hydrated skin, there are steps you can take, including: Avoid exposure to dry air Avoid prolonged contact with hot or chlorinated water Use a gentle cleanser instead of soap Avoid using skin care products that contain alcohol Moisturize immediately after a bath or shower and regularly throughout the day Use a humidifier Wear a scarf and gloves when going out in cold weather If you're concerned about dry skin, contact your health care provider or a dermatologist. You can improve your dry skin by good and healthy intake of food which should includes vitamin A, C, E and protein, lots of water, application of good sunscreen before going out. Drink 10-12 glasses of water, take more of fruits, vegetables, salads, almonds in diet. Sleep for 7-9hrs. daily. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines – Schwabe's Alfaalfa Tonic, Psorinum 200/ once daily and Petroleum 200/ twice daily, take them for 1 month. Use Schwabe's Skin care bathing bar, Calendula & Aloe vera all purpose cream, Bakson's Body oil to be applied.

I will first guide you some basic, your headache symptoms can help your doctor determine its cause and the appropriate treatment. Most headaches aren't the result of a serious illness, but some may result from a life-threatening condition requiring emergency care.(1) headaches are generally classified by cause like - cluster headache (2) migraine (with and without aura) (3) tension headache (also known as tension-type headache), (4) trigeminal autonomic cephalalgia (tac), such as cluster headache and paroxysmal hemicranias,(5) chronic daily headaches (for example, chronic migraine, chronic tension-type headache, or hemicranias continua, cough headaches, exercise headaches, sex headaches, some primary headaches can be triggered by lifestyle factors, including: alcohol, particularly red wine, certain foods, such as processed meats that contain nitrates, changes in sleep or lack of sleep, many other cause may be, so first you can find him the cause or consult me for cause than initiate treatment, as of now for headache you can take tablet paracetamol. But we will have to make a diagnosis to get to the cause of it which can be either due to frontal sinusitis or due to migrane or due to refractive error of the eyes or due to other causes for which we have to investigate.

For a normal weight reducing diet, the quality of food is reduced as per the reduced calorie restrictions. Emphasis is given or more roughage and liquids. The following items are deleted:- a) butter, ghee and coconuts chutney. B) fried food items. C) egg yolk. D) high calorie fruits like banana. This diet provides about 1000-1200 calories and 40-45gm of protein.

Hello, fungal infections occur commonly in hot humid weather. Wear loose cotton underclothes. Keep the private parts dry. Change underclothes regularly. Apply k-z cream or d-k gel twice a day on itchy areas for 6 weeks. If no satisfactory improvement, please see a local dermatologist for further assessment.

Use a benzoyl peroxide face wash. You can also get oil regulator lotions in the market. Use a water based sun screen. If you can use ducray company's acne and oily prone face wash.

I am taking thyroid medicine 50 mg from 8 months. I would like to reduce it. I walk for at least half an hour daily. Usually I walk for one and a half hour in a day. Please suggest some remedy.

Hello, Dosage of thyroxine in hypothyroidism is dependent on TSH, T4 level, age, height and weight of the patient. Walking or other exercise has no influence on improving thyroid gland function. Adequate dose is necessary to bring down TSh level to 3 to 4 mU/L, then only all the symptoms are in control. Thanks.

Dear Doctor, I am a working man. I am not at my regular energy levels, as I used to one year ago. My work involves a travelling of total 2.5 hours, which is more than the time spent earlier for the previous employment. I have also noticed a gain in my weight in the interim period. I have consulted my mother only for the above issue and as per her suggestions, I am following a diet-change. I have also started walking more now instead of taking public conveyance. But, I haven't observed any change in myself as of now. I definitely want to lose some kilos here. Kindly suggest in this regards. Thank you in advanced.

Hi, you should go for 45 minutes brisk walk in the morning. Do regular exercise atleast 20 minutes daily. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Take salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at night and don't skip breakfast. Take small and frequent meals. Avoid junk food and oily food. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4.Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Do running early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 8. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 9.Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice.

Don't do anything that your body is not used to. You can't start running as an exercise before any basic stretching or practice to your body. If you start running without any practice or training you will injure your self badly because your heart and lungs and muscles will get stressed. So train, practice and start any exercise slowly and gradually increase level.

Hi for reduced weight you should work out as per you consume calories and it will take time just continue work out. Take following remedies for loosing weight 1.arogya vardhini vati 2 tab before lunch and dinner 2. Abhayarishta 4 tsp before lunch nad dinner 3. Morning break fast=mung dal green soup 1 boul and if feel hunger have pomegranate or apple 4.lunch 2 chaati + fruit vegetable + if you like rice 1 bowl and dal + barley soup 5. Evening 4-5 pm have some milk with sunth or any fruit you like 6. Dinner barley soup 2 bowl and one fruit follow this diet you will get reduced weight.

Dear lybrate user, you should not take the medicine for suppression of skin problem. What do you feel in the fungus area. Is there any bleeding or dandruf, pain etc. Clear your position. At present you may apply calundala q (homeo medicine) in that area thrice daily. After two days call back.

Hi if your belly is lowering your self-confidence and giving you sleepless nights, here are the tips to give you flatter and fitter tummy. 1. Add fiber to your diet constipation distends your belly, add veggies and fruits to your daily diet to relieve you of constipation, reduce intakes of refined cereals like maida, noodles, pasta and whole grains instead add dalia and oats. This would relieve you of constipation and bloat to give you a flat tummy. 2. Decrease sodium intake sodium retains water in the body and hence your belly swells up, reduce intake of junk food as it contains a lot of sodium. Stop adding extra salt to dishes, also packaged and processed food contains a lot of salts so better avoid it. 3. Increase potassium foods rich in potassium help you get rid of balancing sodium, fruits are very good source of potassium, adding them to their daily diet not only provides this nutrient but also increase the fiber content of your daily intake 4. Avoid sugar alcohols we do not completely digest these low-calorie sweeteners usually found in flavoured low-calorie drinks, diabetic and sugar-free foods. Bacteria in a large intestine ferment during gas and distension so check food labels and avoid sorbitol, xylitol and lacitol. 5. Increase liquids drinking plenty of liquids helps flush out toxins from the body. Keep yourself hydrated with at least 8 glasses of water, also include lassi, coconut, water, lemon water in your daily routine. Make sure to include homemade soups only, as packaged soups are not that nutritious and contain added sodium in them. 6. Carbonated beverages and alcohol these give you extended bellies and your dream of flat tummy falls flat. Alcohol gives you empty calories with zero nutrition. 7. Probiotic curds include low fat curd in your diet regime as it contains live bacteria which tame bloating by increasing intestinal motility. 8. Method of cooking no doubt salads and sprouts are good for our health but if experience distension with them then saute, blanch or steam them also fried foods are best to be avoided not only because of their high-calorie content but also because frying leads to changes in oil composition which may result in bloating. 9.
