In may, 2017, I was transferred from Himachal Pradesh to Sikkim, Gangtok, that time my weight was approx. 80 kg and after six month, my weight was 70 kg. All garments getted loose and people asked about myself that why you seems look like underweight. But I am not feeling and health problem internally. Today I am 68 kg, before 1 month I was 70 kg weight. I am diabetic and hypertensive, quarterly diabetic test and routine diabetic test both are under controlled and I am not feeling any trouble. Here I feel good and not depressed, tensed. If someone ask then I getting tensed and asked myself that why I got underweight? Waiting your valuable advice, so.

Suggestion: If you're not eating enough, exercise is a bad idea. You're burning extra calories, so you may lose even more weight. You should be gaining weight anyway, but the exercise will help you gain the weight you want (i.e. Muscle, not fat). Go to the gym, lift some weights.

My mother is 65 & had recent started complain about a knee pain, she walk good 2-3 kms without any issue, however once she sits down & while getting up her nee pains In addition to this she also is not getting enough hold from her left hand thumb, she is not getting strength by the thumb of her hand and has slight pain, which specialist should I visit, also wat can be the reason for these kind of issue, she does not have any previous medical condition, however take BP tablets daily.

Hello lybrate-user, This is a classic knee pain problem been observed in women due to various reasons. It clould be due to low levels of calcium, hormonal changes in the body, post menopause effect in balance of hormones mainly estrogen and other degenerative changes. To start with, you can ask your mother to do some exercises which might be helpful to decrease her knee pain, 1. Apply ice pack on the knee for 15 mins with her legs elevated upto 45 degrees (use 2-3 pillows) 2. Push knee down while sitting or lying in the bed, hold for 5 seconds and relax, do 10 times 3. Avoid sitting cross legged for certaiin days until pain goes down 4. Make her sit on a high raise bed and ask her to move her knee in circles like a pendulum, this will open the joint space in the knee and allow better range and movement for daily activities. Do this 20-25 times anticlockwise and clockwise, also back and forth ** Take regular medicines on time ** Drink milk and eat calcium rich food items. Further questions? Don't drink water before meals. This can fill your stomach and make it harder to get in enough calories. Eat more often. Squeeze in an additional meal or snack whenever you can, such as before bed. Drink milk. Drinking whole milk to quench thirst is a simple way to get in more high-quality protein and calories. Try weight gainer shakes. If you’re really struggling then you can try weight gainer shakes. These are very high in protein, carbs and calories. Use bigger plates. Definitely use large plates if you’re trying to get in more calories, as smaller plates cause people to automatically eat less. Add cream to your coffee. This is a simple way to add in more calories. Get quality sleep. Sleeping properly is very important for muscle growth. Don't smoke. Smokers tend to weigh less than non-smokers, and quitting smoking often leads to weight gain.
