Hello doctor, does a cockroach bite cause any serious infection or diseases? This happened with me on my neck when I was outdoors. It was a large flying cockroach. I'm just concerned that can it spread any infection through a bite? There are no symptoms of anything since it happened a week ago.

Do not panic. Nothing is going to happen. The area of bite could have produced a rash, which if had to occur would have occured within two three days, not now.

Weight loss needs a Measured diet for weight reduction. You need to exactly monitor the food/calories you eat and only then your weight will come down. As per your height/weight you need to consume 1750 calories per day to maintain weight. In case you need to reduce then you need to take 1250 calories per day, in that case you can lose about 2 kgs in a month. Also you need to take into account, that most of our excess calories come from parties, outings, snacks, marriage functions, socialising etc. That too has to be managed. Overall calorie reduction + exercise can lead you to weight loss.

You need to take high fiber low fat diet followed by detox diet. Drink lot of water everyday. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals of 2-3 hrs. Avoid outside food completely. Ask me privately for customized diet plan for you.

Hello everyone I am in army and I start suffering with the serious body weakness after 6 months harsh training (not during the harsh) but we run alot 12 km daily with weight. Body weakens got little bit skinny and slowly the problem increased like left knee lock after toilet one thing I would say I masturbate alot and my sperm got watery and everyday it leaks most of the times. Do 1.no alcohol 2. Reduce body wt if over wt 3. No smoking/ tobacco 4. Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. No sugar, potato, rice 5. 30 mts brisk walk daily 6. Deep breathing exercise for 10 mts daily 7. Meditation daily for 10 mts ,6-8 hrs of sleep at night 8. Expose your body to sun for 15-20 mts daily after some oil massage to get vit d. 9. Take more water- proper hydration. For medicine contact on private chat.

Hi, Thank you for your query. We will be happy to help you. No need to go for supplements. Try this instead Include various shakes and smoothies, dry fruits and nuts, ghee and other healthy fats, multigrain or whole wheat bread, cheese to your diet. Eat more potatoes, rice and bananas. You can also try peanut butter or other nut butters. Increase your protein consumption. If you eat non-veg, eat it more often. If not then have paneer, chickpeas, dals and other beans and lentils. I am 34 years I have hypothyroidism just now current test shows tsh 7.98 which I think is too high. I continuously taking 50 mcg thyronorm. Please suggest shud I change the dose. Also advise how long will this pill to be taken. Symptoms I feel tired, body pain, lost of mind, weakness throughout the day.

This dose is not suffocient to control your hypothyroid state as you srill have symptoms. You have to increase the done under guidance of a Physician. You have to take thyroid supplement indefinitely.

Ideal weight is decided on the basis of height in adults. You have not specified your height so it is difficult to comment on how much you need to shed. However, to start with avoid simple sugars as far as possible like sugar, jaggery, honey, sweets, candies, chocolates, cold drinks etc. 'Eat Out' less, avoid junk and have good quantity of fresh foods which are not processed like fruits, vegetables, soups, salads, nuts, low fat milk, curd etc. Gradually, focus on higher protein intake, lower fat and restrict carbohydrates to high fibre foods only. Combine these dietary changes with 30 mins to one hour play/walk / exercise. Its difficult to draft a diet chart here which is tailored to meet your requirements.
