Knee Pain: As arthritis is very common that you get generally bilaterally. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation. Simple Knee Exercies Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. Hi, it seems to be due to muscle spasm. Cause could be cervical spondolytis. Get an xray of neck done. Do cervical isometric exercises. Taking muscle relaxant would be helpful.

This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain.•Standing hamstring stretch: Place the heel of your injured leg on a stool about 15 inches high. Keep your knee straight. Lean forward, bending at the hips until you feel a mild stretch in the back of your thigh. Make sure you do not roll your shoulders and bend at the waist when doing this or you will stretch your lower back instead of your leg. Hold the stretch for 15 to 30 seconds. Repeat 3 times. •Cat and camel: Get down on your hands and knees. Let your stomach sag, allowing your back to curve downward. Hold this position for 5 seconds. Then arch your back and hold for 5 seconds. Do 3 sets of 10. •Quadruped arm/leg raise: Get down on your hands and knees. Tighten your abdominal muscles to stiffen your spine. While keeping your abdominals tight, raise one arm and the opposite leg away from you. Hold this position for 5 seconds. Lower your arm and leg slowly and alternate sides. Do this 10 times on each side. •Pelvic tilt: Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Tighten your abdominal muscles and push your lower back into the floor. Hold this position for 5 seconds, then relax. Do 3 sets of 10. •Partial curl: Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Tighten your stomach muscles. Tuck your chin to your chest. With your hands stretched out in front of you, curl your upper body forward until your shoulders clear the floor. Hold this position for 3 seconds. Don't hold your breath. It helps to breathe out as you lift your shoulders up. Relax. Repeat 10 times. Build to 3 sets of 10. To challenge yourself, clasp your hands behind your head and keep your elbows out to the side. •Gluteal stretch: Lying on your back with both knees bent, rest the ankle of one leg over the knee of your other leg. Grasp the thigh of the bottom leg and pull that knee toward your chest. You will feel a stretch along the buttocks and possibly along the outside of your hip on the top leg. Hold this for 15 to 30 seconds. Repeat 3 times. •Extension exercise: Lie face down on the floor for 5 minutes. If this hurts too much, lie face down with a pillow under your stomach. This should relieve your leg or back pain. When you can lie on your stomach for 5 minutes without a pillow, then you can continue with the rest of this exercise If you have low back pain and sciatica you can undergo intermittent pelvic traction where in your half of your body weight will be added in the electronic traction so that that would help you to reduce the pain, along with Interferential therapy stimulations which would help you to get relieved from the radiating pain. Apply ice for the pain to get subsided immediately. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. You have to take vitamin D RICH FOODS. Like milk, cheese, yogurt, brocoli, spinach. You need calcium consumption for increase the bone density.

If your knee is paining since 2 weeks, then you have to rethink whether you had any injury in the previous years. I also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. • Avoid Squatting- • Avoid sitting Cross legged • Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment in which knee is applied warm water followed by the immediate application of the knee with ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.

Your suffering from TMJ dysfunction. Due the one sided chewing it causes much pressure over the Tempero mandibular joint resulting in edema over the joint. This results in pain. Back Pain - Is Homeopathy The Best Line Of Treatment?

Back Pain - Is Homeopathy The Best Line Of Treatment?

Pain in the back can be due to a number of reasons. It may be habitual, occupational, sports-related, or idiopathic.

  • Habitual pain is usually due to patients being habituated to a faulty posture.
  • Occupational pain is related to professions, which require standing or driving for long hours or professions like dentists who need to have a bent posture for extended periods of time.
  • Sports-related pain usually affects athletes or children who bend their back inadvertently during taking part in sports.

Apart from these, back pain may also occur due to unknown or unrelated reasons. Homeopathic is a great alternative compared to allopathic medicines because it has no side effects and the cure is long term. The several homeopathic medications that may be used for back pain are as follows:

  1. Sulphur: It is a great remedy for patients who have back pain due to a slouching posture and whose pain worsens when they stand up.
  2. Ruta Graveolens: It is the remedy of choice in cases the patient experiences stiffness in joint or muscles, accompanied with feeling of soreness and lameness all over the back.
  3. Aesculus: It is a good homeopathic remedy in cases of very low back pain, which gets worse when the patient tried to stand upright from a previously sitting position.
  4. Rhus Toxicodendron: It is a recommended medicine in cases of pain of the lower back, shoulders and neck. Pain is worsened by damp and cold weather and by movement. Relief to such pain is provided by massage, hot baths, and warm applications.
  5. Arnica: This homeopathic gel is popular for its good effect on soft tissues and muscular pain.
  6. Nux Vomica: It is a great remedy for cases where pain gets worse by damp and cold weather, especially at night and painful muscle cramps are experienced in the lower back.
  7. Ignatia: It is a good remedy for emotional distress and for pain in the muscles of the lower back.
  8. Natrum Muriaticum: It is indicated for use in the pain of the lower back, which gets better from lying down on a hard surface.
  9. Bryonia: It is recommended in cases of strong pain in the lower back that prevents the patient from even moving, turning from side to side in the bed, coughing, or making any kind of sudden movement.
  10. Kali Carbonicium: It is a good remedy for patients who have frequent and strong night pains, accompanied with increased back pain during menses.

In addition to these, there are other homeopathic remedies that are recommended in cases of back pain such as Cimifuga, Calcarea Carbonica, Calcarea Phosphorica, Dulcamara, etc.

Brittle Bones Disease - Common Types Of It!

Osteogenesis Imperfecta or brittle bone disease weakens bones and causes them to break easily. This condition is frequently seen in children at birth, but it only develops in children who have a history of brittle bone disease in their family. Depending on the severity of the development of the disease, children can face anything from a couple of bone fractures to hearing loss, problems in the spinal cord, permanent deformation of bone structure, and heart failure. About one in every 20,000 babies develops brittle bone disease and it is equally spread out throughout different ethnic groups and genders.

Causes
It is caused due to a defect in the gene that helps in the production of type 1 collagen, which is a protein used in the creation of bones. This defect of gene is hereditary and is thought to be caused due to certain genetic mutations.

Types
There are four main types of brittle bone disease, namely Type 1 OI, Type 2 OI, Type 3 OI, and Type 4 OI.

  • Type 1 is the most common and mild with development of fragile bones that are prone to fracture, and teeth problems such as cavities and dental cracks. It is not common among adults.
  • Type 2 is the most severe form of the disease and potentially fatal. The body is unable to produce needed collagen resulting in formation of narrow chest, underdeveloped lungs and ill structured ribs in babies.
  • Type 3 OI results in fracture in bones in children even before birth and may result in worsening of bone structure deformities as the child grows up.
  • Lastly, Type 4 has symptoms both severe and mild. It is similar to Type 3 as it is caused due to production of lower quality collagen. Children suffering from this type of brittle bone disease are born bow legged, but the condition reduces over time.

Symptoms
The symptoms experienced by patients suffering from this condition vary from type to type. It is common knowledge that the most glaring symptom is fragility in bones, but there are many other symptoms that may appear as the cases grow more severe. Some patients report development of deformities, while others experience fractured bones without apt injuries. Loose joints, bowed arms and legs, week teeth, abnormal curving of the upper section of the spine, scoliosis, loss of hearing, heart defects, blue sclera (thinning in the collagen fibers), and respiratory issues are also frequently documented symptoms.

I'm 35 years, for the last two months I have intense pain right side of left leg then pain moves to groin and knee (and pain is increasing gradually when I walk (can't run due to pain)). My treatment is going in the Delhi's govt. Hospital. I had pelvis AP xray, spine xray and full abdomen USG, but getting none. Yesterday, I got MRI (U - hip (B/L)) and report says There is evidence of large geographical area of T2/STRI hyperintensity seen involving head, neck and proximal shaft of femur - suggestive of marrow edema. Mild joint infusion is seen. There is evidence of focal ill-defined T2/STRI seen in anterior muscular pain - likely edematous changes.
