Hello lybrate-user, Whenever we start exercising, we suffer from some pain the next day. So always, start exercising gradually and then you can increase the repetitions. What kind of exercise you are doing, it really matters. Also, what you can do is that use hot packs post exercise which will help you to relax your muscles. Now a days, electric hot bags are also available or you can also utilise the hot water bags in which you have to pour hot water.

My hba1c is 8.6 and average blood sugar is 200. I am male 63 years. I have problems in L4 & L5. What exercise I should do as doctor bars to do rotator and step up exercise. My weight is 92 kg and my height is 170 cm. My lipid is OK. Please help.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Hba1c% 8.6 is high, showing poor control. Ideally it should be <7%. Secondly to reduce weight you will have to look closely at your diet and do those exercise which are permitted. If walking is allowed, please do it regularly. Because with a BMI of 31.83 kgs /M2 (Normal < 23 kgs), you are already in grade 1 obesity. Weight reduction it self will help in better glucose control. Thanks.

Myself never smoke or drink alcohol in life. I was diagnosed Anxiety disorder and treated with cipralex 5 mg in 2007 for 5 years. Thereafter from 2013 to 2017 successfully. Symptom was cured 99% Hence I was not having any medicine for 4 years. Now Dr. prescribed me lorazepam 0.5 mg per day for anxiety disorder from 23rd March. Now 2 months over. Please help me with advice For quitting 0.5 mg lorazepam, Tapering is required, Is there any protocol or need of detoxification?

There is not protocol as such but what you did miss in your earlier treatment and even now is the need for counselling in tandem with medication. You again no skills from medication but in counseling you will learn particularly to handle emotions and live a meaningful life. So go and try this for some sure-fire success to wean you off of the medication in due course.

It looks like mechanical back pain it may be due to your faulty posture hence please do s=following: stretching exercise spinl extension exercise straifg=ht posture pain medication if pain persists get MRI of lumbar spine and consult through Lybrate text or phne or video.

  1. Break the pattern: Depression often makes a person withdraw from others and cease to enjoy any experience. This becomes a thought pattern that cannot be cured with medication. Talking to a counselor can help unlearn these thought patterns and help people form new social bonds. As part of the treatment, the patient will need to find and explore new ways of enjoying sex that can strengthen strained relationships. Talk to your partner.

Instead of being stressed about your sexual performance, focus on your partner's needs and attend to them for a more pleasurable sex life.

Don't make it seem necessary to have sex even if your partner is tired: If you find that stress due to problems at workplace or financial issues is affecting your partner considerably, then respect his/her decision of saying no to sex. Don't pressurise your partner to get intimate just because you want it. If you make necessary dietary changes and combine it with 1 hour play / exercise you can easily shed weight. You need a wholeome diet to shed weight helathily and sustainably. You need to correct your diet wherever it’s going wrong. Focus on higher protein intake, lower fat and restrict carbohydrates to high fibre foods only.
