I have been exercising for 20-25 days and I have lost 2 inches. But still me tummy doesn't goes in. This is upsetting me a lot and hampering my faith on exercise.

Hi, It will take time. Do exercise because it is good for your body mind and soul. Don't keep looking at watch while exercising. You have lost 2 inches that is great progress. Keep moving ahead. Slowly and steadily things will happen. Exercise is the only way. Lot of good things are happening to your body but not visible to you. Keep active keep moving, never give up. and control your diet too.

I am suggesting you some simple lifestyle changing tips that will not just make your body proportionate and give you a desired shape but will also help you obtain a healthy body. You can come over it very easily due to your determination. The answer is bit long but do read it to get benefits: 1.Make sure you are walking at least 5000 steps every day. It is strongly recommended that you start with a jogging regime. Buy a pedometer to check how much step you walk, its a cheap gadget available in medical shops. 2.You should avoid late night dinners at any cost and make sure you are following a routine while having 3 main course foods of the day. 3.Eat handfull of roasted almond every day. 4.Try having your dinner before sunset and not eat anything heavy after sunset this will surely help you to lose your weight. 5.Try to sleep before 11: 00 P. A set of 12 fixed, cyclic postures define Suryanamaskar which when performed repeatedly at an easy pace can bring a sense of well being, almost immediately. However, those with a heart condition, arthritis or slip-disk, need their doctor's consent before starting the routine. 8.In the morning start consuming lukewarm water right after you wake up & sitting in sukhasaan (chaukdi) it is advisable to even do rinsing with the lukewarm water in your mouth and drink sip by sip instead of drinking quickly. This process is done for the detoxification and cleaning of your stomach/intestines that has everything to with your weight issues. After this your stomach condition will remain intact at pH7 (which is not alkaline or acidic in nature but normal). 9.Another advice is that don’t drink water after your meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast, or any mini meal). Drink water after 90 minutes. Drinking water after your meals reduces your digestion, and as you know if food is not digested it will produce acid, which in turn will increase your weight. Drinking water during or after meals can bring almost 103 types of disease in your body. Thanks

My father is a diabetes patient, what kind of food will be good for him, will fruits be healthy for him to eat? how many times in a day shall he have food? We are pure vegetarian, we dont even eat egg, so please suggest it accordingly.

For a diabetic it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the sugar levels, lifestyle and history. Though you can follow some guidelines - have small frequent meals. Do not fast for long hours. Avoid a very heavy meal at one time. Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar. Avoid junk foods. Eat local and seasonal foods. Fruits are fine as long as eaten in moderation as a midmeal. Exercise and stay active. Do not attempt to try out too many remedies as you could go into hypoglycaemia. Sleep well. It's all a matter of discipline.

Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one cup of water. If you use freshly ground black pepper, then just add one-quarter teaspoon. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. Do this daily for at least three months.

Too much tea is not good for liver. For weight loss you can use lemon juice with lukewarm water with empty stomach. Eat small amount of foods frequently. Don't skip any meals. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Eat whole wheat, brown rice, brown bread etc. Avoid fast foods, junk foods, processed foods. Avoid spicy foods. Take fish, soyabean, tofu, mushroom etc in small amount. Eat fruits, vegetables like sweet potato, ginger root, banana etc. Avoid sugary drinks like soda, energy drinks, sports drinks etc. Use beet juice for liver detoxication. Drink lots of water and regular exercise.

HI Lybrate USER…. 1) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods…. 2) sleep upto 10-10.30 pm…. 3) avoid coffee and tea…. A) Eat 30-40 black currants and 1 tsf of jiggery during meals… B) Take 200 ml of fresh butter milk with pinch of saindhav lavan after meals… C) take 30 ml of aamla juice along with 15 ml of honey in morning on empty stomach D) take fresh juice of beet or pomegranate in morning instead of breakfast…do all these things for 30 days…gives you good result…THANKS.

Hello Rajat, I understand your concern because, this kind of extra weight (and fatty liver) is breeding ground for many diseases (blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, certain kind of cancers, arthritis etc), which can affect the quality of your life ahead. This is a lifestyle related issue and it can be surely treated with intensive lifestyle modification program. Most people who are fat are made to feel that it is because you lack will power, you are lethargic and a weak person. But that is definitely not true. It is your your hormones which have made you fat and keeping you fat. Unless we make correct diagnosis and and create a diet and lifestyle plan to correct that hormonal abnormalities you will not be able to lose weight for long term. What you need to do is consult someone who can help you holitically - proper nutrition, right kind of exercise (just few min a day), stress management and sleep improvement. Making changes in all 4 aspect, will help bring the underlying hormonal disturbances under proper control and you will be able to find more energy, and more excitement into your life... weight loss and fat loss will be just the byproduct! Hello, Calcium is abundantly available in natural food sources. The more naturally existing foods you take the better. Calcium supplements are firstly not fully absorbed by the body and in long run usage it has the tendency to give kidney stones. Dark green vegetables, low fat dairy, moringa, nuts, finger millet are some excellent sources of calcium and magnesium (which is very important for calcium absorption). Simultaneously, take care of your vitamin D as well.
