I am 62 yrs, female, I am diabetic. Please Answer why it is so 1- my fasting with glucometer 120-110 2- at 11a. am I take full diete with glyzide 40mg+metformin 400 mg. After 3hrs. At 2. Pm rbs -250, at 4. Pm rbs 160. After 3 hrs it should be rbs should be 150 in stead of 250 and after 5 hrs it is rbs 150, why this abnormal pattern and what I should do?

The sugar levels usually are low at fasting even in diabetic patient because after 8 to 10 hrs after meal glucose is bound to be low, after food if your control is good then pp level should be closer to 140 mg/100ml. However the levels mentioned by you are high because the treatment is not adequate. In a well controlled patient rbs could be about 120 - 130 mg/100ml you need to take some additional drugs to control sugar level. Please tell me some more details like weight, height, waist circumference, hba1c % and time spent on exercise daily. Then I can suggest some changes for you.

Dear lybrate-user, yes I agree that overeating makes you drowsy & sleepy. But I have seen some people with normal diet and still feels sleepy lot of times. I will advise you to do thyroid function test. Take proper sound sleep at night. Kee yourself busy whole day so that you will be continuously engaged in some activity. Most of the times it becomes habit and you have to overcome that. I will suggest you to take cap stresscom twice daily for 15 days. Don't again start overeating.

Our Daily energy requirements for proper functioning of our body is 1600-2200 K cal of Energy if we want to remain fit and healthy.But there is a misconception that weight is reduced by dieting.But weight is not reduced by only skipping our meals or prohibition from sugars but until we are not aware what are our body energy requirements ,it will be difficult to loose weight.If we restrict ourself from taking daily diet to 1100-1200 Kcalories ,and increases our workouts,only then we can think about reducing our weight and for that we must obtain proper knowledge of exact energy levels in a particular dish we are eating,only then we can achieve our target of reducing weight by means of simple mathematical calculation. Carbohydrates: Our main source of energy. Stored in liver and muscles. Carbohydrates are used the most by our body duringexercise. Hence, it is important for people who exercise regularly to consume a diet rich in carbohydrates. (a) Instant/rapid carbohydrates energy sources: Banana, Milk, Sweets, Sugarcane juice. (b) Slow carbohydrates energy sources: Beans, Bread, Cereals, Potato, Pulses, Rice. 2. Proteins: Essential for growth, repair of muscle, skin, hair and body tissues. On an average, a man needs around 2,000 calories a day and a woman 1700 calories a day to maintain his weight and good health. Number varies by person depending upon weight, age and how active the lifestyle is. 7. Guideline: Each day have 3 main meals, 2 snacks, 5 pieces of fruit and at least 1 glass of milk.

Frequently getting giddiness, mostly in morning and evening times, sometimes movement problem as well.
It may be due to bad head posture or sleeping while watching tv which may be a resultant initiation of spondiolysis. Improve posture and take cyclamen 200.1-2 drops in 1/4 cup luke warm water everyday in the morning for a week immediately after rising empty stomach and wait for 15 min even for brushing. Revert back for further management.

Lybrate-user, you are 12-15 kg over weight. It is advisable not to reduce more than 1-1.2 kg weight every week. Follow these simple tips to reduce weight/fat: avoid bakery items. Cut down oil & sugar from your diet. Add fiber & protein in your diet. Avoid stress. Do physical exercise for 30-40 mins daily. Sleep for 6-7 hours.

Do not worry further I am giving some tips adopt them in life do consistently will see the changes soon as you want them. Do not let constipation and gas ,acidity type of problem. Take laxative powder or tablet if consition is so. 1- leave masturbation if do 2- do not watch pron movies. 3- take nutritious and healthy diet 4- avoid fast food, spicy,and oily food. 5- may take ayurvedic medicine for strengthening your sexual strength to a grater level. 6- do abdominal crunches, leg raises ,push ups 20 nos each and yoga. 7- add up salad as staple in your food. 8- kegel exercises.9- dissmiss all unntatural sexual acts.

When GAD-65 or islet cell antibodies are present, the decline in insulin production is faster and the person requires insulin earlier than in Type 2. With the increase in weight seen in the general population, people with Type 1 and 1.5 can develop Type 2 diabetes with its classic signs of insulin resistance. Without insulin, patients with type 1 diabetes develop severely elevated blood sugar levels. This leads to increased urine glucose, which in turn leads to excessive loss of fluid and electrolytes in the urine.

Indigestion, also known by the medical term dyspepsia, is due to a problem in the secretion of digestive juices in the stomach. Usually indigestion occurs after eating spicy or fatty foods or overeating.

It can also be triggered or made worse due to gastroesophageal reflux disease (gerd), irritable bowel syndrome, stress or anxiety, obesity, ulcers, stomach infection, thyroid disease, smoking and certain medications.

Some symptoms of indigestion are bloating, gas, growling stomach, abdominal pain, burning sensation in the upper abdomen, acidic taste and vomiting.

You can easily get relief from indigestion symptoms using ingredients from your pantry. For instance, sipping a little water at the first sign of indigestion can give you some relief as it helps increase the gastric ph.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Mr. lybrate-user, If your day's caloric intake is within the requirement of total calories based on weight, height and extent of workout, then there is no problem at all. As soy crunches give a good variety of proteins and probably least carbs. But it is equally important to keep blood glucose level in strict control with fasting closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8. Thanks.

Dear Mr Ashish.....Soak 4-5 Dry Dates (KHURMA KHAJUR) in 50 ml milk while you are going to bed.....after waking up from sleep next morning eat those soaked dates.....Continue the process for at least 15 days....you will observe a increase in your sexual power within 15 days

Do not take protien mass gainer I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2. Take dates with milk in the morning breakfast 3. Triphala kadha 4 tsp beore lunch and dinner 4. Amala juice 4 tsp + 2tsp sugar + 2tsp honey in the morning empty stomach this take for 1.5 month only your weight gain will take definitely note=avoid over eating.

Hi lybrate-user mofify your diet by adding oats: is extremely high in fiber, hence one portion of oats in the morning for breakfast can keep you full and energetic throughout the day, reducing your caloric intake. Greens: like spinach, methi, broccoli etc are very low in calories and high in fiber, vitamins and minerals thereby reducing water retention and bloating from your body. Beans: like kidney beans, soya beans etc are filled with resistant fiber and proteins which help release energy slowly and keeping you full for a longer time. They also feed your muscles and help them tone up. Lean chicken and fish: are good sources of protein which increase muscle and thereby metabolic rate which helps fat burning and also adds bulk to the meals. Cucumber: is very high in water content and acts as a natural diuretic which helps to reduce water retention and bloating leading to weight loss. Brown rice: are not only high in fiber but also in energy giving b complex vitamins which leads to faster burning of calories. Almonds and walnuts: are excellent sources of vitamin and fiber.
