You are anxious, mainly because of your round the corner exam and apprehensive about your performence. Everyone has such problems lije headaches, weakness, occasional inability to concentrate etc. It is because of your anxiety that your thought process is not allowing you to concentrate and distracts you towards insecure feelings. First of all assure yourself about your capabilities on the basis of your past performances and tell yourself that you haVe done it in the past and so you can do it now too. With that resolve move ahead. You should eat normally at proper time and have a peaceful sleep of at least 6 hours. This will make you feel better towards your bodyaches and headaches. Avoid excess of tea or coffee, that initially stimultes your system but may cause lack of concentration.

For control high cholesterol eat whole grain foods, green veg., juice, plenty of water at least 8 glass of water in a day. Avoid high cholesterol foods, oily, fatty, junk, fast foods, foods from out sided, Go for walk daily, do yoga, cycling, any good exercise, avoid stress, try to take good sleep at night. Checkup your body by blood tests and physical examination at regular time.

Hello lybrate-user see once you started taking medicines for blood pressure it's good to take them regularly, you can take all precautions n you can ask your doctor for some light dose of your medicine. Sir, I'm suffering from chest pain from last 6 months. Pain in the middle of chest. Can you please suggest me what I have to do?

1. For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress, depression, physical and mental strain, hyper acidity, muscular problem 2. Avoid stress and strain 3. Do regular exercise, reduce your weight if over weight. 4. Control your diet. Avoid oily/spicy/fried and junk food, high calorie and cholesterol rich diet. Take small frequent meals (5-6 meals/day instead of three heavy meals. If you have hyper acidity take one tablet of pan 40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days 5. Do yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress. 6. Have sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily. 7. Avoid smoking, alcohol, excess tea/coffee, if you are having 8. Drink plenty of water and take rest 9. Take paracetamol 500mg one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets per day at the time of chest pain 10. If you have recurrent attack of chest pain check your bp, take ecg and consult cardiologist 11. Consult me for further advice.

High cholesterol has become a very common phrase nowadays. With excessive consumption of fast foods and sugar, lifestyle disorders such as diabetes and high cholesterol have become very common. In order to know what high cholesterol is, you should first know about cholesterol.

Cholesterol is a type of fat present in the body which is needed for regulating hormones in the body. It also plays an important role in Vitamin D production. Though you get cholesterol from food, the body has its own supply of cholesterol as well. Excessive cholesterol in the body can lead to cholesterol build up in your arteries, resulting in blood circulation problems. The arteries tend to narrow down, not allowing the blood to flow properly. High cholesterol levels are linked to heart problems and strokes.

Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine, the treatments of which are based on natural ingredients. It is very effective and free from side effects, unlike conventional methods of treatment. Ayurvedic remedies for high cholesterol levels in the body aim to bring down the cholesterol level and improve your overall wellbeing.

The Ayurvedic tips to lower cholesterol levels are:

  1. Eat healthy: Diet plays an important role in maintaining healthy cholesterol levels, so eating healthy is of paramount importance. Include plenty of vegetables and fruits in your diet to get the required amount of Vitamins and minerals in order to keep your body healthy. I am facing problem. Breathing from last few days and am having chest pain sometimes .Sometimes I feel like am unable to breath and face anxiety as well, actually feel depressed sometimes, I am facing Hypertension problem and taking homeopathic medicine for high bp .i feel stressed due to suffocation and cant get my ans .consulted various doctors. I take a lot of tension. Pls tell me my disease as I dnt get any answer plus tests and my lungs are perfect pls suggest.

Dear Lybrateuser, - For your problems to improve you first have to reduce your weight as it is the main cause of breathing problems & hypertension, this you should do by diet & exercise - monitor your BP at least twice a day, once on getting up in the morning & once in the evening, make a record & see if the medication you are taking is having effect & lowering it - have more of vegetables & fruits in your diet, whole grains & low fat dairy, avoid fried, processed & junk food, aerated drinks, sweets, salty snacks, have yogurt, salad, sprouts, nuts if you feel hungry - do regular exercise like walking for about an hour, do moderate weight lifting on at least two days of the week as it helps boost your metabolism & help reduce weight, also try to include yoga, meditation& deep breathing exercise for 10-15 min in the morning to relax your mind & keep your body fit - keep your self busy in your work, read, listen to music, socialize with friends so that you stop worrying & feel better - keep your sleep & wake up time fixed & try to sleep well for at least 7-8 hrs at night, avoid watching TV, mobile, other gadgets an hour before sleep, a sound & refreshing sleep reduces stress & keeps you alert & active the next day, do not nap for more than half an hour in the afternoon - you have to make an effort & have a strong willpower to change your habits which will keep you healthy & fit.

Why sometime a person's blood pressure is high but heart beat is slow? As if ut is generally said blood pressure is rate of change of heart beat.

In ayurveda, Hypertension is referred to as Rakta Capa Vriddhi and it sees the vitiation of vata and pitta doshas as the main cause...take sarpgandha vati twice a day...yogendra ras...akik bhasm works very good in case of hypertension....avoid salty diet...oily food...lower your stress...do pranayama early morning....

I am over weight, I workout in gym and thinking of taking fat burner, but I have high bp problems, what should be done?

Hello lybrate-user, I would strongly advice you against taking any fat burner. Every fat burner works by increasing catabolism which would push the blood pressure to serious high levels putting you at the risk of stroke, heart issues and other serious problems. You are young and should take a more holistic approach towards losing weight which would be safe and permanent. If medication is something you are looking forward too, cetilistat, one which decreases absorption of fat from your meals would be far safer choice for you. It's taken 60 mg twice a day. You may get it fron any big pharmacy in delhi or otherwise get it from mumbai. Again no fat burners. Regards

If Brisk walking increases heartbeats for short time ,then why it is advised to walk briskly to reduce already increased heartbeats? How does brisk walk regulate heartbeats?

Hello, Brisk walking provides good power and endurance to the heart, which help in increasing blood circulation and thus increase the oxygen carrying capacity of the heart. However ,it is not advisable to follow this regime if a person had some troubles with the heart. Otherwise it is very safe and result oriented.

Hi I am suffering from hypertension from 2-3 years and taking hypertension medicine cardace 5 mg now earlier taking different medicine prescribe by doc (talzoc 40 mg telma 40 mg lodoz 2.5 mg). In Oct'16 I felt pain in left side chest and visited cardiologist ecg echo tmt done all ok. But still I felt pain sometime. Also diagnosed with high cholesterol taken pivasta 4 mg for 1.5 month and left now due to muscle pain. Pls advice.

If your tests were normal then stop worrying. Unnecessary anxiety is just going to add to stress and nothing else. Exercise daily for 45 mins, Eat healthy and keep a follow up with your doctor and Relax.

What can be the possible reason for constant but very subtle chest pain though I have gone all the check ups and nothing was found.

If all checkups are normal, the the common reason for this is gas accumulation due to not proper digestive system of urs. If you have constipation, it should be treated. Revert me back for medicines.
