I met with an accident and suffering from pain my leg got fractured what should i do ?

Hello, as information provided with you. Fracture are treated on type, place and severity of fracture site. Fractures can be treated conservately or require open reduction and internal fixation. Accordingly, it take time to heal upto 4-6 week or may be more depend on extend on injury. Suggest you chack with orthopedician or physiotherapist to follow the course of fracture diagnosis and management. You may required therapeutics exercises. Advice: to apply ice pack for pain dnot put pressure on injured leg sply while walking till fracture heals or doctor guide you according to fracture. Do ankle pump and toe pump in lying with pillow bellow thighs. Thanks. Have a fast recovery.

Hi, good morning. I am noor alam my age is 23 I got varicocele surgery 11 days before I am facing pain in my testicles. It seems my testicles are too burning. And I feel pain always after surgery sometime it becomes too much. I want to know that is this happen in varicocele operation procedure or can some problems.

Follow these best tips to get relief from stomach pain - *take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. *take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening. * take 1 tea spoon of liv-52 syrup daily one time. * walk for atleast 15-20 minutes daily and avoid long duration continuos sitting. * avoid taking nonveg at night & in day time after taking food, do not sleep in day. 1.Take bland diet, avoid oily and spicy food, 2.Drink plenty of water 3.Take one Tablet of meftal spas Ds sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets daily twice daily after food 4.Take one tablet of rantac150 mg twice daily before food 5. If no relief consult me for further advice

Kindly show me digital x rays of ls. Spine sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od do neck, back & shoulder exercises it may have to be further investigated you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

if there is pain and swelling in the joint then its necessary to check if you have damaged the ligaments inside the joint. visit your local ortho surgeon who may request a MRI scan to look for ligament damage

Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If no relief in 4_5 days, then inform again.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, You may be suffering from a condition known as sciatica. It's caused due to compression of vertebrate of lower back. It can be cured with ayurvedic and Panchakarma treatment. Lower back pain can be caused by a variety of problems with any parts of the complex, interconnected network of spinal muscles, nerves, bones, discs or tendons in the lumbar spine. Typical sources of low back pain include: The large nerve roots in the low back that go to the legs may be irritated The smaller nerves that supply the low back may be irritated The large paired lower back muscles (erector spinae) may be strained The bones, ligaments or joints may be damaged An intervertebral disc may be degenerating While back pain is extremely common, the symptoms and severity of back pain vary greatly. Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Ruta 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2. Rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. Keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines.

Advice…. Back pain. Advice. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily Bhujang Asana x 15 timesx twice daily Core Strengthening Exercises. Back Stretching. Knee Advice. Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Swollen knee

A swollen knee occurs when excess fluid accumulates in or around your knee joint. Your doctor might refer to this condition as an effusion in your knee joint. Some people call this condition "water on the knee."

A swollen knee may be the result of trauma, overuse injuries, or an underlying disease or condition. To determine the cause of the swelling, your doctor might need to obtain a sample of the fluid to test for infection, disease or injury.

Removing some of the fluid also helps reduce the pain and stiffness associated with the swelling. Once your doctor determines the underlying cause of your swollen knee, appropriate treatment can begin.
Symptoms
Signs and symptoms typically include:

Swelling. The skin around your kneecap can puff up noticeably, especially when you compare the affected knee to the normal one.
Stiffness. When your knee joint contains excess fluid, you might not be able to bend or straighten your leg completely.
Pain. Depending on the cause of the fluid buildup, the knee might be very painful — to the point that it's difficult or impossible to bear weight on it.
When to see a doctor

See your doctor if:

Self-care measures or prescribed medications don't relieve the pain and swelling
One knee becomes red and feels warm to the touch compared to your other knee

Dear Orthopaedics / Neurologists, In the past I was treated for cervicular spondylosis. Ever since then, I use a cervicular pillow, and do neck exercises as soon as I wake up. Despite this, sometimes, in the mornings, I suffer from shoulder pains or headaches. Do you recommend me to use a orthopaedic mattress or continue using the cotton one?

Backk. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch. Leg pain. Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

It is actually known that office workers sitting on their computers for a long time can have chronic neck pains and with a bad posture can subsequently develop back pain as well. The answers to all these questions lies in: - proper posture counseling and maintenance during work - isometric neck exercises, lower back strengthening, abdominal strengthening, and a set of general conditioning ex can help you to get much fitter and muscles toned - also it is advisable to do daily brisk walks for 2-3 km in around 30 minutes time. - adequate calcium and vitamin d intake is also helpful so definitely exercises and physical therapy sessions should help you quite a lot in getting rid of pain.
