Hair loss, now-a-days, is common among males and females of all age groups. We all lose some hair strands everyday, however, some people lose more than normal strands in a day that can cause severe hair loss. Hair loss is mostly genetic, so if hair loss runs in your family, you are most likely to suffer from hair loss too. Hair loss happens either in clumps, that is overall hair loss, or focussed on any one part of head - especially the crown. While genetics play a big role, some additional factors can aggravate hair loss - hormonal imbalance, Alopecia areata, stress, thyroid disease, anemia, protein deficiency, chemotherapy, and low vitamin levels may cause hair loss in you. Start by following a good diet - Eat adequate amount of protein. Your hair is made up mainly of proteins. Eat eggs, cottage cheese, chicken, soya, lentils, whole grains. Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin B are other important nutrients for great hair health. So include lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your daily diet. Exercise daily to keep yourself healthy inside out. Next important step is to follow good hair care - Oiling your hair with a mixture of oils like olive, sesame, coconut and castor oil keeps provides moisture to your hair and prevent them from drying and breakage. Once in a week apply a good hair mask. You can mix and prepare different types of masks using eggs, green tea, olive oil, milk, gooseberry, thyme, chamomile etc. Condition your hair using organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Rosemary tea once in awhile. A good dermatologist can successfully reduce hair fall by conducting some tests beforehand that includes blood tests, iron level, vitamin B, thyroid function tests and a biopsy of the scalp. Since some hair loss is temporary, your hair will grow back on its own without medical treatment. More serious hair loss can be treated with creams, oral drugs and surgery. Dermatologist can give your head a fuller appearance with the help of hair transplants and scalp reductions, which is successful both in males and females. To determine the best technique for your hair loss issue, consult a good dermatologist.

Dementia - 7 Warning Signs You Must Be Careful About!

MBBS, MD - Psychiatry

Dementia - 7 Warning Signs You Must Be Careful About!

Dementia is a disorder characterized by a decline in mental capabilities in a person. It is primarily caused by Alzheimer's disease but can also be caused by damage to the brain from an injury or a stroke. The cells of the brain fail to communicate with each other in dementia. People suffering from dementia have difficulties in taking part in regular activities as their mental functioning is impaired.

The major symptoms of dementia are problems in recalling, ineffective communication, inability to concentrate and impaired reasoning abilities. It may also affect the short-term memory of a person when he/she may be unable to keep track of his/her belongings. Dementia can be progressive where the symptoms gradually increase with age.

With age, the mind also goes through slowing. Being the control organ for all other organs, this leads to issues with thinking, cognition, communication, memory, etc. Dementia is a condition which is a combination of all these; it is not a disease per se, but a symptom complex.

Causes:

  1. Alzheimer’s disease, a neurodegenerative process
  2. Brain injury (accidents, trauma, etc.)
  3. Stroke
  4. Huntington’s disease

Except in acute trauma cases, as a degenerative process, there are early symptoms of dementia which can be watched for. It is even possible to delay the progress of dementia by keeping an eye out for these symptoms.

  1. Recent memory loss: A person may not be able to recall what happened a couple of days prior but can clearly recollect events from the past. This may be gradual in onset and gets progressive. There could be difficulty in recollecting things like where the TV remote is, where the phone is, where the door keys are, etc.  Some people could also ask for the same information repeatedly, as they are not able to retain information.
  2. Loss of learned behaviour: Things which were taught or learned like how to arrange things at the table, how to do basic things on the computer, organising medical kits, etc., might be forgotten. The person finds these more taxing than before and requires more help in doing them. Learning new tasks slowly becomes difficult too, as they find it difficult to get orderliness or process thinking in them.
  3. Mood changes: While depression with onset of dementia is very common, the person also could have drastic mood changes, which would be noticeable only to close family and friends
  4. Forgetting names: It is another major symptom. Whether it is of people or objects or animals, there is difficulty in recollecting names
  5. Personality alterations: Since dementia affects judgment and reasoning, a shy person could be seen to become outgoing gradually
  6. Difficulty following storylines: While most elderly people are adept at telling stories, those affected with dementia could be seen to be gradually losing track of the storylines. This could be true of their own storytelling or even television serials or movies.
  7. Repeating tasks: Given the short-term memory loss, they tend to repeat things which were just done, both in actions and words.
  8. Feeling lost: Recent memory loss also affects things like forgetting why they headed out, spacial disorientation, whether they had a snack or not, etc.
  9. Forgetting day to day things: Regular tasks like paying utility bills, reading newspaper or books, cooking up small dishes, tend to become difficult than they were. This is a combined effect of short-term memory loss and loss of orderliness. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Psychiatrist.

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

Hi sir my name is Sachin kumar I have some white pimples on my face what should I do to remove these.
PIMPLE Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Kojic acid (a natural skin lightener derived from mushroom extract), arbutin (also called bearberry extract), and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) are great alternative ingredients to lighten scars left by acne. Don't use vitamin E on scars. You may have heard that applying vitamin E to a scar will help it heal faster. But according to a study , applying the nutrient directly onto a scar can actually hinder its healing,if you want medicine than , i will prescibe , like daily apply night microbenz cream daytime use ahaglo facewash

Possible disadvantages of consumption of semen Semen can contain several viruses that may be transmitted via bodily fluids from an infected man. Some common examples of such sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), Hepatitis B and C, herpes, and Chlamydia. The risk of transmitting an STI through oral sex is higher if there is an open sore in the mouth or if a person has gingivitis and bleeding gums. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, hepatitis B can also be transmitted through contact with infected semen if an open sore is present in the mouth. Human papilloma virus Human papilloma virus has emerged as a serious concern in relation to oral sex. This virus can cause cervical cancer, anal cancer and the development of other growths such as genital warts. In 2013, some research suggested the virus can cause lung cancer. In 2010, a multinational review published in the British Medical Journal demonstrated that the incidence of oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma is on the rise in Western countries and that this increase seems to be linked to HPV, particularly the HPV-16 strain. The article implied that HPV is spread through sex, but in particular, oral sex. Chlamydia and gonorrhea The transmission of Chlamydia and gonorrhoea through oral sex has also recently become a concern. In May 2011, a study of female commercial sex workers showed that one in 25 of the workers had Chlamydia in their throats. In addition, one in 50 of the sex workers had gonorrhoea in their throats.
