HE AIMS OF SELF TREATMENT FOR FACET JOINT ARTHROPATHY
With facet joint trouble, the primary objectives are to raise the height of the disc and relieve the congestion of the joint; and then make it run more smoothly. In the acute phase the joint is extremely irritate and treatment is designed to ‘milk’ it of its swelling.
The technique of rocking the knees to the chest will do this. Once the joint is emptier and less painful, pivoting on the problem level helps mobilize it. The curl up exercises works it actively.
Curl ups usually bring about a dramatic reduction in pain because the raised abdominal tone lifts the spine off the painful joint.
Curl ups also relieve congestion by subjecting the joint to the normal contracting and relaxing of the muscles around it. Briefly using the tennis ball at this stage can also reduce the facet joint swelling, but care must be taken because it is easy to make things worse. You do this by lying on your back on the floor, knees bent, and press the pain away.In the final stage of treatment, dis impaction of the neurocentral core is the ultimate objective. The back block achieves this, and also restores an optimal lumbar hollow. It does this by stretching the front of the hips (the hip flexors) thus reducing an exaggerated lordosis, but it can also correct a pronounced lumbar kyphosis (less commonly a background factor with this condition) by stretching the anterior longitudinal ligament down the front of the spine.
While on the block it is often useful to rotate the pelvis in a minute twisting action which helps disengage the facets.Ordinary toe touches are also important.
These stretch shrunken facet capsules which, in the case of an exaggerated lordosis, exert a bow-string effect to keep the spine hollowed.Ultimately, diagonal toe touches pull a tethered nerve root free of adhesions in the small exit-canal (or foramen) which may have developed from longstanding inflammation. These exercises also enhance the function of multifidus.
The vigour of the action makes the muscles relax properly as the spine goes down and then works them on the way up. Their re-education helps restore joint perfusion (circulation of fluids) and leads to better control in the opening and closing of all lumbar facets.
As our lifestyle and living habits change, we experience a lot of new phenomena and changes in our body systems. One of the biggest changes that we can actually see is the change in the digestive system and the regularity or the irregularity of our stools. When we eat healthy and lead an active lifestyle, we are more likely to have a better digestive system, whereas if we eat more junk or take meals at irregular timings and do not set a system for the body, we put it at great risk of diseases and health issues. One of the most common problems that a lot of people face is constipation.
While constipation in itself may be tackled without much problem, the real issue arises when it turns into something more troublesome such as piles. The issue of piles arises when the veins in the anal region start to swell because of a disturbed blood flow. The swollen regions and the lack of fibre in the stools combine to make the process of passing stools very uncomfortable, painful and it may also lead to the bleeding of the anus.
Treating the issue of piles:
Piles is a health problem that is mainly supported and aggravated because of wrong eating habits, sedentary lifestyle and excessive constipation. One of the most important things that you can do in the course of getting the problem under control is to start eating right. Eating foods with high fibre content and foods that speed up the digestive systems may go a long way in easing out the pain. It may also be important to keep liquid intake under check so that more and more liquid and other healthy drinks are consumed. Choosing to exercise regularly and indulging in workouts that help keep the intestines strong are the best alternatives.
Apart from things that you can do on your own, it may also be important to make sure that you take the right professional medical help. When you have the best help on your side you may be able to make sure that you get the issue treated within a short span of time without having to suffer greatly. However, it is also essential to make sure that the best type of treatment is chosen. In most cases, choosing Homeopathy for treatment may be your best bet. When you opt for homeopathy for piles, you may be able to treat the issue without having to use chemically charged and loaded antibiotics and it may be an easier route to a healthy living.
Why take homeopathic treatment?
The reason why homeopathy is most demanded in the case of piles is because of the fact that conventional medication may lead you to go through surgery for getting relief from the issue. Not only does a surgery increase the burden of increased finances, but also means that it is physically more straining. While homeopathy offers natural and chemical free medicines that treat the root cause of the disease.

Shirodhara is a form of ayurveda therapy that involves gently pouring liquids over the forehead and can be one of the steps involved in panchakarma. The name comes from the sanskrit words shiro (head) and dhara (flow). The liquids used in shirodhara depend on what is being treated, but can include oil, milk, buttermilk, coconut water, or even plain water.
Shirodhara has been used to treat a variety of conditions including eye diseases, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, greying of hair, neurological disorders, memory loss, insomnia, hearing impairment, tinnitus, vertigo, ménière's disease and certain types of skin diseases like psoriasis. It is also used non-medicinally at spas for its relaxing properties. Studies report that ayurvedic shirodhara is a safe option to improve sleep quality among people who have sleep problems. shirodhara is also effective in treating mental conditions such as anxiety, and mental stress. The calming effect produced by shirodhara is similar to that obtained with meditation.
There are specialized forms of shirodhara called ksheeradhara, thakradhara, taildhara and jaladhara.
Shirodhara may begin with a full body massage known as abhyangam. Shirodhara also involves a head massage. Shirodhara is thought to work by relaxing the hypothalamus in the brain. It can also normalize the functions of hormones that regulate sleep and emotions.
