Hi to gain weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects.

Danish , u r a proffedtional player ,dont neglect knee injury . U need clinicoradilogical evaluation on ur knee joint by expert arthroscopic knee surgron . Follow as per advices. My opinio , u might have ligmentous injury in ur knee . It requires attention . Mri / diagnostic arthroscopy will guide the disgnosis.meanwhile avoid sports for a while and wear knee brace and non weightbearing . Tq

For getting an increase in weight Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong, chana,Dal, rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit.

YES, sudden gain in weight is a sign of incoming hormonal problems and it could be thyroid disease or other hormonal imbalance problems like PCOD........It would be best to control weight by use of exercises ( cardiovascular exercises, which are done in GYM under supervision of a trained gYM instructor and physician guidance ) ,....... diet also plays a major part, so meet a dietitian with your intake chart of 3 days so that things can be planned as per your eating habits and work pattern....... YOu can try to conceive for a few months and see, if you cant, then you should seek the consultation and treatment of gynecologist to help you conceive

Exercise. Exercise is the simplest way to overcome laziness. A lot of the time, we are lazy because completing a task seems too difficult. With exercising, you don’t have to figure anything out. You just have to make that one big decision to literally start moving your body (jump up and down, go for a run, or start doing lunges in your living room). 3. Allow yourself time to relax and do the things you enjoy Often, we become lazy because a task seems too difficult. By relaxing and doing the things we enjoy, we allow ourselves to feel satisfied. When we are satisfied, we are more willing to take on bigger tasks and achieve bigger things. 4. Get organized. Clean your house and organize your physical surroundings and you will naturally feel motivated to be more productive and active.

It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Knee pain is a common complaint that affects people of all ages. Knee pain may be the result of an injury or some other medical conditions including arthritis, patellar tendinitis, acl injury, knee bursitis, torn meniscus, gout and infections. From your symptoms it seems like your wife developing osteo arthritis (oa) of knee. Try some home remedies for pain relief: -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting jogging aerobics, dancing playing sport -use hot or cold packs. By increasing blood flow, hot compresses can ease pain and stiffness. Cold compresses reduce swelling. You may want to experiment with heat versus cold packs to see what works best for you. -stay active, physical activity is one of the best ways to improve your quality of life. Exercise boosts your energy. It can also strengthen your muscles and bones, and help keep your joints flexible. Try resistance training to build stronger muscles. - quads strengthening exercises are helpful oa knee. She needs to reduce her weight as she is 90 kg. Consult a physiotherapist for detail assessment to find out the diagnosis and for pain management.

Hi, I would recommend you to take 2 litres of water /day to bring down your uric acid level. For your knee pain is concerned, I would recommend you to visit nearby physiotherapy centre to take pain relieving modalities, and once your pain subsides start doing strengthening exercises. Its better to continue exercises regularly through out your life for being healthy. If you are obese, try to reduce weight gradually. Dont try to go for any supplements to reduce weight. Check your uric acid level and creatine levels next month to avoid complications of kidney. Regards rekha srinath

Hello lybrate-user, following are side effects of patients using dexona may encounter unwanted side effects such as: upset stomach. Headaches. Dizziness. Insomnia. Nausea. Stomach pain. Muscle weakness. Vomiting. And side effects for common side effects of cyproheptadine include drowsiness, tired feeling, sleep problems (insomnia), dizziness, spinning sensation, blurred vision, loss of coordination, upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, appetite changes, weight gain, restlessness or excitability (especially in children), numbness or tingly so nothing to worry related to sex organs.

When you quit smoking you will tend to gain weight. Tobacco smoke stifles appetite. Apart from that the oral stimulation you used to get from smoking is going to want to be satiated and usually you will tend to eat or drink extra for sometime. But it is really good that you want to stop smoking because it is really very harmful. Just the fact that you want to give up smoking is a good starting point. The habit can be very difficult to halt because of the many conditions attached to smoking. In fact these conditions can exist all through the day unlike other addictions. But your desire to want to stop is the most important factor. It is important to find out about the ill-effects of smoking to have a reason that alarms you about continuing in the habit. The information is really scary. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heart beat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. So you must avoid it like the plague: it is just very bad medicine for you. In fact it is highly toxic too. You will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. You should start vigorous exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time you feel like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. You may also take hard candy or chewing gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine chewing gum or nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces substantially. You may also join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i.e. at least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit smoking. Here?s a piece of very good advice: even if you accidentally/willfully take a cigarette, it is not the end of the world ? you can start the cessation all over again. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest. All the damage you incurred earlier because of the smoking can be reverted back to normal in quick time.

Hi lybrate-user, eggs are a complete source of nutrition and has high protein content. Boiled eggs are suggested to those who want to lose weight as it has the least calories as compared to omlette or egg bujiya. However eggs can be eaten by those who want to gain weight and those you are gyming also as it helps to provide energy and build muscle. Eggs alone will not increase your weight. You need to increase your daily food intake also. Have 5 -6 meals daily after every 2-3 hours. Eat bananas or banana milkshakes.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.
