You should follow these very important and simple things to prevent stone formation & to get sure treatment of kidney stones: 1. First take a lot of fluid daily. The more you drink water and fluid, the less amount of deposit accumulate in kidney. So you have to make your kidneys healthy just only by drinking 2-3 liters (10-12 glasses) of water. 2. Stones are mainly formed of calcium and oxalate. So take very low quantity of milk, cheese, cream and dairy products. 3. Do not take strawberry, plum, spinach and tomatoes. These fruits and vegetables are rich in oxalate. So avoid them to prevent from kidney stones. 3. Stop taking supplementary vitamin d and calcium medication. 4. Avoid animal protein diet- eggs, red meat, fish in diet. 5. Take less amount of salt, pickle and western foods. They have high amount of sodium. So avoid it. 6. Urinary infection are also one of the cause of stone. So take proper antibiotic treatment of urinary infection on time. Even when you feelburning sensation or pain during urination, don't avoid it. Take medication as soon as possible. I hope you follow them in your life andstay healthy. 7. You can take gokshur tablets of himalaya for 3 months. It definitely get relief from kidney stones.

My wife aged 56 years have urinary tract infection since one month and consulting doctor who advised urine culture test prescribed tablet taxing for 10 days and advised tablet toxin for 10 days and advised urine complete test after medication. Despite medication her result shows plenty of puss cells again. Sir, we want to know what could be the reason. May be the reason she started having insulin could be one of the cause? Or she got a loop fixed about ,5 years before for excess bleeding and the same is due to be removed in February next year. Whether that could be a reason we want to know. Please advise Regards.

There are so many sources of infection .this is not because of the reasons mentioned by u. Do following 1.Pass urine whenever you feel a desire, empty bladder completely. 2.Wipe from front to back after toilet 3.Take lots of water so as to have clear urine 4.Do not use any spray, scented bath products 5.Try to take shower rather than bath 6.Clean genitals before sex and pass urine after sex to flush out any bacteria 7.Keep genital area dry- wear cotton, loose under garments, avoid tight clothes like jeans Baking soda- one tea spoon in a glass of water and take on empty stomach, or half spoon can be taken twice a day. Take for about a week or 10 days. For medicine contact on private consultation with urine culture report and latest urine report good luck.

Can you please share your ultrasound report. The location of the stone and the amount of obstruction causing hydronephrosis will be a determining factor.

I am 45 years old male and have some time frequent or some time less urination problem. All tests including ultrasound were normal. Only puse cells were 2. Kindly suggest.

Do you have burning urination and what about epithelial cells in urine. In males pus cell should be zero. I think there is a mild infection go for urine culture wd out having any antibiotics prior to test after that it can be confirmed if your having infection or not.

I am a overflow incontinence patient and I want to build muscle can I take protein and protein supplements and last 4 months ago my kidneys swelling but now doctor told me swelling is gone please help me.

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, DNB
Urologist, Bangalore
Mr Ayyaz, overflow incontinence is a condition of faulty bladder emptying, which leads to bladder being overfilled and it overflows(leaks). This needs catheter insertion and later treatment of the underlying condition. Please be clear of what problem you have. If kidney swelling has disappeared, thats great, but just confirm with a followup scan. None of this has anything to do with protein intake or building muscle.

My creatinine level is 1.2 and had nephrectomy in 2001. So far my creatinine levels were maintained. I take regular medications for cholesterol and HTN.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
I recommend the following 1. Find out how much of protein you are losing in the urine. Protein in urine rises the creatinine. tablets like ace/arb can reduce protein in urine 2. Avoid red meat 3. Avoid weight lifting exercises 4. Tab nephrosave twice daily has given good results in my patients 5. Most importantly make sure bp is within 130/70 at all times
