Recently carried sonography. 6mm calculus found in left kidney (It is non obstructive). What is suggested?
Hello lybrate-user, a renal calculus 6 mm big is not very severe. However such a stone can cause a lot of pain and discomfort while it moves. Take a lot of fluids-as much as 3 to 4 liters of water everyday; avoid drinking juices; drink citro soda sachet mixed in plain water.

Suffering from pimple problem mostly on upper part of face (matha) It is little paining How to cure it.

Suffering from pimple problem mostly on upper part of face (matha) It is little paining How to cure it.
pimples may be due to hormonal imbalance, sticky skin cells on the surface of the hair follicles, oil production, bacteria on the skin called P. acnes inflammation.if you want to get relief by pimples then take following precaution for that. 1.maintain good hygiene routine that includes washing the face regularly to get rid of makeup, dirt, dust and grime is very important to keep pimples at bay. Cleaning the skin helps remove dead skin cells and also frees the skin from contaminants that may aggravate the growth of pimples. 2.Dirty pillow covers and dirty towels aid bacterial growth, leading to breakouts. It is very important to wash pillowcases, bed sheets and towels at regular intervals. 3.use Non-Comedogenic Makeup and Skin Care Products 4.do Not Skip Moisturizing 5.Keep your hands away from the skin. Do not rest the chin or cheeks on your hands or dirty surfaces, as this will cause bacteria to spread. 6.pimples can be prevented by following a healthy and balanced diet. reduce carbohydrates, sugar and dairy products and include more vegetables and fruits in the diet. Drink lots of water to remain hydrated and flush out toxins from the body regularly

Hi I am suffering from more hair fall so how can I prevent hair fall and promote hair regrowth.

MBBS, Diploma in Venerology & Dermatology (DVD)
Dermatologist, Delhi
Hi I am suffering from more hair fall so how can I prevent hair fall and promote hair regrowth.
To have a healthy and long hair does not depend only on the outside appearance of your hair but also on how healthy you are inside. Strong and healthy growth of your hair depends on a balanced diet. The nutrients that are consumed by the body fortify the hair follicles. For boosting hair growth, to prevent hair loss, to prevent dandruff, to have a healthy scalp, certain vitamins like Vitamin B, C, A, D and minerals like selenium, zinc, folic acid, iron and protein are required. You also require a good amount of Omega 3 fatty acids, which keep your hair scalp hydrated. Consuming foods having any or all of these nutrients are one of the solutions to long, healthy thick hair. You can take Wholegrains, like barley, oats, buckwheat, broken wheat, ragi, bajra ,Brown rice,Legumes like kidney beans, soy beans, dark green leafy vegetables ,eggs, carrots, tomatoes, sweet potato, fruits, yogurt, walnuts and almonds.Along with the dietary changes , you may massage your scalp with almond oil at night and rinse it next morning.

I have skin problems how to clear and face how to get freshness. Hair problem with how to solve my problem.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
I have skin problems how to clear and face how to get freshness. Hair problem with how to solve my problem.
You can clear your face and get rid of your problems by eating a healthy balanced diet.Follow the below given steps-------- 1.BALANCED DIET 2.EARLY MORNING BRISK MORNING WALK for 30 minutes and 10 minutes evening walk after Dinner 3.DRINK 6-8 Glasse of water daily. As 60% of our body is made of water, it acts as a carrier of essential nutrients inside our body. Loosing as little as 5% of body's weight as water can cause headache, fatigue and lower your muscle strength. To stay healthy, an adult should drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. Balanced Diet= 60% Carbohydrates + 20% Fats + 20% Proteins 1. Carbohydrates: Our main source of energy. Stored in liver and muscles. Carbohydrates are used the most by our body duringexercise. Hence, it is important for people who exercise regularly to consume a diet rich in carbohydrates. (a) Instant/rapid carbohydrates energy sources: Banana, Milk, Sweets, Sugarcane juice. (b) Slow carbohydrates energy sources: Beans, Bread, Cereals, Potato, Pulses, Rice. 2. Proteins: Essential for growth, repair of muscle, skin, hair and body tissues. Protein deficiency leads to low immunity, hairfall, feeling of tiredness. Proteins are not stored in our body as any excess protein is converted to energy or fat. Hence, a person requires protein intake every day. When the body does not get enough carbohydrates to fuel itself, it falls back on protein bank. That is why people who follow starvation diets or go on fasting lose muscle tissue. (a) Major protein sources: Egg white(white portion), Milk, Soybeans/Soymilk, Fish, Cheese, Tofu. (b) Other protein sources: Beans with wheat, Nuts, Curd, Yogurt (Dahi). 3. Fats: Required and healthy when taken in small amounts. Excess fat leads to weight gain, increase in bad cholesterol (LDL) and heartproblems (a) Major fats sources: Egg yolk (Yellow portion), Avocados, Whole Milk, Butter, Cheese, Nuts. (b) Other fats sources: Corn, Vegetable/Olive oil, Biscuits, Flaxseeds(San Beej). 4. Vitamins and Minerals: Critical for normal functioning of organs and processes within our body. They do not provide energy directly but work behind the scenes to break down food into energy. 5. Fiber: It helps retain water and in making our stools softer to avoid constipation. Intake should be 25 to 35 grams a day. 6. Calories: A measure of how much energy food or drink contains. On an average, a man needs around 2,000 calories a day and a woman 1700 calories a day to maintain his weight and good health. Number varies by person depending upon weight, age and how active the lifestyle is. 7. Guideline: Each day have 3 main meals, 2 snacks, 5 pieces of fruit and at least 1 glass of milk.

Hi, My question is for gynaecologist. I have a pungent odor in my vagina .It may or may not be an infection but the odor is not good. I request you to guide me with medication to eliminate the odor. I don't feel confident otherwise while getting intimate.

MBBS
General Physician, Chandigarh
There is a normal smell in the vagina which is there with everyone just keep yourself absolutely clean wash with simple soap and water atleast twice a day and after passing urine stool every time and pat dry before you put on your clothes also use only cotton under wears so that there is no perspiration still if you find something very extraordinary then consult a gynecologist and get clinically checked.
