Brown moles are there all over his body, we have consulted so many doctors ,they told like his skin is allergic to sun as his skin tone and type is similar to americans (he is extremely fair) and they also face the same issue when they come here ,affected area-face, hands, legs and too less on upper body part. Doctors advice to do laser when he is 18 or more. Please suggest something and advice if laser guarantees to remove them permanently and it won't appear again.

As you described the condition it looks like freckles. The best is to avoid sun exposure as far as possible. Use good sunscreen with high spf and pa rating. And yes you can go for LASER but it will only improve the freckles that is present. There is no guarantee that it won’t appear again.

Hello, Skinlite is a steroidal cream and has side effects like skin thinning, acne, redness, burning etc if used for long time. So stop using it. Protect your skin from sun with sunscreen like Photostable prior to sun exposure.

For Athletes - 5 Ways to Prevent Skin Conditions

5 Ways to prevent skin conditions in athletes

Given their nature of work, athletes are at an increased risk of acquiring skin infections. These infections can lead to serious consequences if they are left untreated.

Here are 5 ways in which skin conditions in athletes can be prevented.

1. Keeping the bruises clean and covered -
It is important for you to keep the cuts and scrapes clean as well as covered with bandages until they heal because such openings in the skin weaken its defence against germs and increase the possibility of infections.

2. Taking care of the blisters - Make sure that you prevent blisters as much as you can because they make your skin susceptible to infections. Use gels, sprays, ice pads etc. and try to avoid getting sunburnt to prevent dangerous skin conditions.

3. Be mindful of what you wear - It is important for athletes to wear moisture-wicking clothes because sweat, if not made to dry, can lead to growth of germs that can cause a number of skin diseases and infections. Also, not wearing foot wear outside the field can lead to infections on the feet.

4. Maintaining good hygiene - Take a shower after every practice session and game using an antimicrobial soap. Besides, use a clean towel and avoid sharing your personal care items like razor, soap etc. with other athletes. This is extremely important in order to reduce the risk of bacterial infection.

5. Disinfect all your equipment and go for skin checkups - Make sure that you disinfect all your equipment like the protective gear, gloves, socks etc. after every use. Also, get regular skin checkups done, especially if you are associated with high-risk sports like wrestling, boxing etc. There is an increased possibility of skin injuries, sores, swelling etc. in athletes associated with such sports, which exposes them to a greater risk of skin conditions. So, disinfection and clinical checkups on a regular basis become all the more important for them. Ensure that you never use sandpaper or bleach simply to pass a skin check up.

Reasons Behind Warts And Ways To Treat Them!

MD - Dermatology, MBBS
Dermatologist, Delhi
Reasons Behind Warts And Ways To Treat Them!

Warts are small formations that occur on the skin. They appear in the form of dark protruding bumps or brown flat lesion on the skin surface. Sometimes they might also have tiny black specks on them. Warts usually form on the hands, feet, face and genitals, although they may appear on other parts of the body in some cases.

What causes the formation of warts?

Common warts are caused due to infection of the outermost layer of skin that occurs as a result of viral contamination. The virus that is responsible for this condition belongs to the human papillomavirus (HPV) family.

This infection is highly contagious and easily spreads from one person to the next. It is most likely to occur on skin that is cut or damaged as that allows easy access for the virus to enter the skin system.

How to prevent the formation of warts?

Common warts are contagious and spread very easily. Preventing the spread of the HPV virus can be done through simple steps that will help you avoid getting affected by this condition.

Some of the preventive measures that can be adopted are as follows:

- Picking and scratching on warts should be avoided

- Avoid biting fingernails as gnawing on the skin around the nails makes it more prone to infection

- Grooming, brushing and shaving around infected areas should be done with care

- Moisture and dampness should be avoided as the virus thrives on it

- Do not self-medicate with lime (chuna), garlic, onion or Dettol.

Treatment

Wart removal should be done by a qualified dermatologist. It is simple, safe opd procedure which takes few minutes only and does not leave any scars.

Fenugreek seeds help in getting rid of burn scars • Soak the fenugreek seeds in water overnight and grind it into a fine paste. • Now apply this mixture gently on to the burn marks and leave it on. • Once the paste has dried completely, you can wash it off with water. • Apply this paste regularly to remove the scars. • Cold water with turmeric also has antiseptic properties which work well on burnt skin. • Homoeopathic medicine • Homoeopathic cream • ANTIMARKS CREAM ( BIOVALLEY) Apply twice daily in circular fashion • THIOSINAMINUM 3X ( LORDS) Chew 1 tab 3 times daily • Report after 60 days
