Too much cholesterol in the blood can lead to cardiovascular disease. What you eat has a direct impact on your cholesterol level. In fact, a diet rich in fiber and other cholesterol-lowering foods may help lower cholesterol as much as statin medication for some people. Working with a registered dietitian and doctor is the key to develop and maintain a successful health program to manage it. I will inform you on how to make diet, lifestyle changes, make you understand instructions for taking medication because it won't work if you don't take it as directed. Consult privately for a holistic dietary therapy to solve your problems.

Most probably the surgery must have been by key hole method giving minimum cuts and trauma. Your doctor has suggested you to eat everything except fats. Trust him. Bad fats are not good for anyone, not even a 10 years old kid. After gall bladder surgery the appetite becomes better as there is no fear of pain after eating. Eat whatever you like but do reduce your weight the healthy way by eating right and exercising according to your constitution and physique. Walking is best exercise which is meditative too. Drink warm liquids more often as gall bladder juice-bile has no reservoir now as gall bladder is removed and bile is flowing constantly in the food pipe. Take warm water with honey, green tea, clear soups, plain warm water more often to wash away the acid and bile juice in stomach. Hope you know about bad fats. Let me repeat-street food and trans fats present in packed foods. But do take good fats like a spoon of pure ghee/butter + katori of assorted nuts everyday. Seasonal vegetables and fruits-lots drink a glass of warm water with fresh lemon juice + spoon of honey on empty stomach in morning-it does burn fats and extra sugars. Say no to empty calories like sugar and sweets, fizzy cold drinks, packed juices. Eat fresh fruits. If worried about heart get basic tests done like ecg, echo, stress test, blood test for sugar & total lipids. Get back here with reports and progress of weight loss. Only 10 kgs need to be shed @ 5 kg /month.

Is there any medicine in homeopathy or ayurveda for removal of gallbladder Stone?

Is there any medicine in homeopathy or ayurveda for removal of gallbladder Stone?
if the stones are dissolved by any medicine gall bladder remains as stone forming organ so removal of gall bladder is the only answer for gall stone disease, if they are symtomatic.

Hello Mr. Lybrate-user. Yes, there is a permanent solution to your problem. Ibs is mailny a psycho-somatic problem which has cause and effect rooted in both body and mind axis. A person needs to be very relaxed. Having food at proper time, in proper quantity with mind focused on nothing else while eating makes the most important part of treatment. Avoid hurry, worry and curry. Use more of buttermilk. Regular practice of yoga helps.

I am a 21 year old I have stomach pain abdominal pain continuing 2-3 days in per week what should I do.

I am a 21 year old I have stomach pain abdominal pain continuing 2-3 days in per week what should I do.
There are a various causes for stomach problems, treatment depends on the location, severity and type of pain. Laboratory tests such as the complete blood count (cbc), liver enzymes, pancreatic enzymes (amylase and lipase), urinalysis are frequently performed in the evaluation of abdominal pain. If you have h. Pylori infection for which I can prescribe a 14 day treatment plan which will eliminate it. Untreated infection causes ulcers in stomach and may finally lead to cancer. If your pain is occurring once in a year and not regular then such types of pain could be amoebic infection, worm infestation or premenstrual cramps. If pain is occurring frequently then get ultrasound abdomen done.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. 9 mm sized gall stone is big enough. One of the methods of reducing a gall stone is taking ursodeoxycholic acid tablets to be taken for almost two years, still the effect is not as expected. So most often gall bladder surgery is recommended. Since you are a medical student, can talk to top surgeons in your institute and find out about the surgery and its effects. Gall bladder removal is not going to affect your health in any way. That is the best option as dissolving the stones is most unlikely to happen. If there are no troublesome symptoms then there is no reason to worry. Thanks.

I want to have kayam churna at night since my digestion is not very good. Should I eat before drinking milk or after ...
Digestive problems are usually due to eating too much oily spicy food and having too little water. .. If you change your diet methods/routine you can permanently cure this problem. Avoid taking medicines unless there is emergency. I will suggest natural method to cure this problem permanently. 1. Drink two glasses of warm water on waking up. 2. Have a glass of water every hour throughout the day till 8 pm. 3. Have 3 dry dates(chuara) and 6 Kishmish daily 4. Eat One banana, one cucumber and one apple per day between meals. 5. Evening have a glass of milk with a spoon of honey. 6. Avoid pickles papad puris parathas pakodas...namkeen ..Samosa..kachodis etc. 7. One glass Nimbupani with breakfast and evening tea. 7. Eat your normal meals slowly and chew properly Follow this routine properly for two weeks and your problem will be solved.
