Hi, it seems you are suffering from 1. Gastritis or hepatitis 2. Take an antacid 3-4 tsf 8 hrly 3. Get a blood investigation - liver function test done 4. Avoid fatty, oily meals 5. No fast food, no momos and samosas 6. No tea and coffee 7. Lots of water 8. Walk after meals 9. Eat less at nights 10. No soft drinks, hard drinks and no smoking recommended a private consultation.

My friend's bp gets high very often, heart beats very fast, and then headaches and nose bleeds. It lasts for more than a day mostly. I need help that how can this be prevented. Or best possible lifestyle adaptations to avoid such situations. At such a young age is it really risky to hve such frequent high bp.

It's well known that prevention is better than cure. A simple holistic approach towards life is required. Get your friend checked by a doctor and also do all the tests suggested by him. Exercise daily,(and add 1 hrs of yoga which will help harmonise all the systems of the body.) Eat in moderation and avoid all junk food and salty things (minimise salt intake). Let the doctor diagnose what exactly is the problem and start the treatment. Do not change the medications or alter them without his advise.

The homeopathic goal is to lower high cholesterol to desired levels to prevent coronary heart disease. Diet modification is recommended. High Blood Cholesterol Healing Diet 1. Eat a well-balanced, high-fiber diet based on whole grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables. 2. Eat more fish and less meat. 3.Increase soluble fiber intake, it improves lipid production.   4. Avoid foods high in saturated fats such as margarine, fermented cheese, whole milk, vegetable shortening, poultry skin, lamb, sauces, fried food, andice cream. 5. Avoid cholesterol-rich foods such as egg yolk, seafood, anchovies, sardines, and baked goods made with eggs. 6. Choose good fats such as monounsaturated, polyunsaturated, and omega-3essential fatty acids. 7. Garlic helps reduce high cholesterol. In the morning take a tiny piece of garlicand crush it with the knife. Follow with a glass of water (swallowing instead of chewing avoids garlic breath). The allicin in garlic also helps lowers high blood pressure and prevents blood clotting. 8. Have a glass of red wine at dinner, it increases HDL production. 9. Drink eight to ten glasses of water, per day. 10. Engage in 30 minutes of physical activity. 11. Stop smoking.

Iam 55 years old. I have a high bp occured some time since 02 years. My both legs is swelling and left side of the whole body get tingling sensation since 02 years. What should I do, please advice me! thanks.

Swelling legs could be due to ill managed hypertension. Kindly show me rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Ertension. Anyway.

Hello, CHEST PAIN in your case may be due to 1.acidity. 2. severe anxiety 3. muscular problem A. You can take Tablet Pantocid 40 mg one tablet before food for 3 days B. To bring your numbers down, lose excess weight, eat healthy foods and increase your physical activity. If you smoke, quit. Lose extra pounds Excess weight contributes to high cholesterol. Losing even 5 to 10 pounds can help lower total cholesterol levels. Start by taking an honest look at your eating habits and daily routine. Consider your challenges to weight loss — and ways to overcome them. Set long-term, sustainable goals. Eat heart-healthy foods What you eat has a direct impact on your cholesterol level. In fact, a diet rich in fiber and other cholesterol-lowering foods may help lower cholesterol as much as statin medication for some people. Choose healthier fats. Saturated fat and trans fat raise your total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. Get no more than 10 percent of your daily calories from saturated fat. To maintain your motivation, keep it fun. Find an exercise buddy or join an exercise group. And, you don't need to get all 30 to 60 minutes in one exercise session. If you can squeeze in three to six 10-minute intervals of exercise, you'll still get some cholesterol-lowering benefits. Don't smoke If you smoke, stop. Quitting can improve your HDL cholesterol level. And the benefits don't end there. Just 20 minutes after quitting, your blood pressure decreases. Within 24 hours, your risk of a heart attack decreases. Within one year, your risk of heart disease is half that of a smoker's. Within 15 years, your risk of heart disease is similar to that of someone who's never smoked.

Keep monitoring your bp for 1 week morning evening and make a chart. Meet a doctor then if you were never on medicines else continue your previous meds. Lose weight and exercise. Stop eating oily food reduce oil content in food and junk foods.

Since you have both essential hypertension and t2dm, this itself can make you feel tired, unless both conditions are in control. Your bp is high, it should ideally be 130/80. You have not mentioned hba1c level which tell about long term control of blood sugars. I also want to know medications taken and amount of exercise that you are doing. Your bmi is 27.14kg/m2 which is high (normal 23kg/m2). Plus do you use tobacco in any form and alcohol also. Please give this information which will help me advise you better.

I am 34 years of age and overweight. And I have high triglyceride 188 seen in the lipid profile test. cholesterol levels are normal. I have prescribed fenofibrate 200 mg once a day. Please guide me that 200 mg is necessary or 160 mg per day can be taken instead of 200 mg.

Hi have noted all your details, A triglyceride level of less then 300 mg/dl needs not to be treated with fenofibrinates. Asian population have high levels of triglycerides due to our genetics.In case you want to start medication ,start with low dose of statin like atorvastatin, they effect triglycerides also, and are safer then fenofibrinates. 45 min of strenous exercise should be done every day, 30 minutes of walk at speed not less then 5.1 km/hr should be done daily avoid ghee butter peanut oil, instead take olive oil or saffola. Add fibres to you diet avoid paneer cheese ,red meat and egg yolk change will take atleast 3 month repeat lipid after 3 months.
