BABY TEETH CARE BASICS:---Few things are as adorable as a baby's totally toothless smile. But baby teeth development doesn't take long. Before you know it, you'll be navigating your way through the world of teething, brushing baby teeth, losing baby teeth and eventually welcoming in a mouth full of permanent pearly whites. Baby teeth development actually begins before baby is born. Primary teeth are almost completely formed at birth but remain buried under the gums. These mini chompers start showing up when a baby is about six months to a year old.Unfortunately, baby tooth development and eruption is a painful process. Teething can make an infant's gums sore, causing your little one to be uncomfortable and irritable. Experts suggest that during baby tooth development, you massage your baby's gums with a clean finger or give a chilled teething ring, a cool spoon or a cold, wet washcloth to help ease the discomfort.Parents should begin brushing baby teeth as soon as the first tooth arrives. Why bother? These little munchers help baby with proper chewing and speech and hold space in the gums for permanent teeth. It's never too early to start taking good care of your baby's teeth. Here are some baby teeth care basics:----- Prevent early childhood caries, also known as baby bottle tooth decay, by making sure baby doesn't sleep with a bottle containing any sugary liquids -- even breast milk. And never give your child a pacifier that's been dipped into anything sweet.- Start brushing baby teeth as soon as the first tooth appears. Routine baby dental care should also include massaging the gums with a clean gauze pad. When all teeth have erupted, floss at least once a day to help prevent the buildup of dental plaque.- Wean your baby off thumb-sucking if he or she is still doing so by age four. Otherwise, it can cause overcrowded or crooked teeth.- Consider a combination of fluoride treatment and dental sealants, thin plastic coatings applied on baby molars to keep dental plaque from accumulating. Talk to your dentist before giving your child any fluoride dental treatment and have your child use only un-fluoridated toothpaste until two years of age.- Take your child to the dentist after the first tooth arrives or by age one. Regular dental visits combined with daily baby teeth care can help give your baby a good head start on the road to dental health.A great dentist or pediatric dentist can answer any questions you might have about baby teeth development and help provide tips for proper baby teeth care.Call/Text/What's up us @ 8285666226 fir any help.

Diabetes - 6 Natural Remedies that Will Help You Manage it

Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder that results in higher level of blood sugar in the body. It is assuming epidemic proportions and India has become the new diabetic capital with more than 50 million diabetic people. The main problem with diabetes is that it does not completely go away and there is a whole myriad of issues that it brings along with it. Heart attack, stroke, eyesight problems, delayed wound healing, nerve damage and impotence. Therefore, diabetes and by that we mainly mean blood sugar level has to be managed so that there is a delay in onset of the associated conditions and/or reduced in severity.

Ayurveda refers to diabetes as Prameha (excessive urination) and Madhumeha (sugary urine) and has identified close to 20 forms of the disease. According to Ayurvedic belief, each disease is caused due to imbalance in kapha, pitta, and vata doshas and diabetes is caused by all these, predominantly by kapha. With any stream of medicine, management of diabetes involves two tracks one is lifestyle changes and the second is medications.

Lifestyle changes include the following:

Diet: Reduce the amount of rice, sugar, potato, sweet fruits, maida, deep fried foods, and red meat. Protein-rich foods like lentils, soya, green leafy vegetables and fish should be increased. Diet plan should change to small, frequent meals instead of binge eating.

Exercise: Include 30 minutes of regular exercise into your daily routine if you have a diabetic predisposition.

Others: Avoid smoking and alcohol, ensure sufficient sleep, avoid sleeping during day time, improved foot and eye care, periodically check sugar levels and manage stress levels.

Medication

Ayurveda has a whole lot of home remedies which have proven to be very effective against diabetes:

Jambhul: Eugenia Jambolana whether eaten raw or juice extract has been shown to have beneficial effects in managing sugar levels and cholesterol.

Gymnema sylvestre: Used to manage diabetes for over 2000 years, it reduces sugar cravings and is being touted as the future for diabetes treatment.

Bitter gourd (Momordica charantia): It has 3 components that give it strong antidiabetic properties. The charantin reduces blood sugar levels; the polypeptide has insulin-like effects; and lectin that again has hypoglycemic effects.

Bel (Aegle marmelos): Also known as wood apple, leaves of the plant are shown to have antidiabetic properties. 5 to 10 leaves can be chewed on a daily basis to help control blood sugar levels.

Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum): Consuming 10 g of fenugreek seeds soaked in water increases the amount of insulin produced, thereby increasing sugar breakdown.

Neem: Chewing about 4 to 5 leaves in the morning on an empty stomach helps to control blood sugar levels. Alternately, neem leaves powder is available which can be dissolved in water and consumed.

5 Common Mistakes People Make While Brushing And how to fix them.

Dentistry is not expensive, neglect is! brushing is an activity that has been embedded in our systems since time immemorial. It's an exercise you start and end your day with, a routine that can sometimes pass by almost subconsciously, leading to bad habits and ultimately poor oral health and hygiene.

Here are a few mistakes people commonly make when brushing their teeth.

Not using the proper toothbrush

The biggest myth of our time is to buy a medium or hard tooth brush to clean more effectively that's what causes the maximum damage over the years by wearing off healthy natural teeth with overzealous care.

Using an anti-sensitivity/whitening toothpaste permanently

A common mistake is to use a medicated tooth paste meant to mask sensitivity over a prolonged period. Such a practice only masks the symptom does not treat the problem and also leaves you vulnerable to cavities, gum disease and bad breath since the predominant component in such a tooth paste is for treating sensitivity or lightening tooth color.

The type of toothpaste that you use doesn't matter very significantly as long as you use the right amount and twice a day.

Sensitive toothpastes are meant to be used for a prescribed period of time and whitening toothpastes must be used under supervision to prevent any potential damage to your teeth.

Toothpaste must protect your teeth and gums both so a combination of paste that contains fluoride that protects your teeth from decay -and the gel based part has the antibacterial properties to prevent gum disease and bad breath.

Brushing too quickly or too many times

Most of us hate going to the dentist and find brushing an easier alternative but you cant exactly brush off old cavities just prevent new ones.

See to it that you do not brush your teeth more than twice in a day. Excessive brushing can damage your gums and enamel. It will not take a lot of pressure to remove the plaque; hence most dental practitioners suggest brushing using a very balanced pressure.

Studies show that brushing two times a day and about 2-3 minutes every time is perfect to maintain good oral hygiene. Most people make the mistake of falling short of this duration every time they brush. You can ideally divide the mouth in four sections and approximately spend around 30-40 seconds on each section.

Incorrect brushing technique

The strokes while brushing your teeth must be vertical and not horizontal. Many people are habituated with performing long horizontal brushing strokes; this leads to irritation and damage.

Learn the right technique

Hold your brush at an angle of 45 degrees to your gums and brush your gums and teeth with an up and down motion and short strokes. Don't use side to side strokes. Also, start brushing on areas that you have been ignoring till now, reach the difficult to reach inner portion of your teeth. Implement it as a daily ritual and you will attain perfection in it.

Wrestling or brushing

Hard brushing damages the gums and is not good for you. Excessive brushing i. E. Brushing more than 3-4 times is also bad for you. You must always observe a balance in brushing which keeps your dental health healthy.

Fix

Since unlearning a bad brushing habit maybe harder the easier solution is to switch from a manual to an automatic brush. Going automatic by using a battery operated brush is recommended since it takes the guesswork out of brushing.

It may take a while to get adjusted to but like so many other things which are designed to make life easier automatic brushes make dental hygiene very easy and can even reduce the frequency of your dental visits.

Supplement your brushing

Of course, brushing your teeth is only a part of a complete dental care routine. Mouth wash twice a day. You should always rinse your mouth and keep it cleaned; otherwise, the germs from the teeth will stay on.

Clean between teeth daily with floss. Tooth decay-causing bacteria still linger between teeth where toothbrush bristles can't reach. This helps remove plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gum line. Eat a balanced diet and limit between-meal snacks. Visit your dentist regularly for professional cleanings and oral exams. Got some questions? ask us comment below; we will answer as soon as possible.

The best advise is not to bottle feed infants and give breast milk and feed from cup. If you must, you can use soap for cleaning.

A. Teaching your toddler to take care of his teeth is just one way you can show your growing child how to take responsibility for his body. This can be a challenge because 2-year-olds are motivated mainly by fun and pleasure, not by health and necessity. If you want to end his resistance to brush, your best bet is to make this nightly chore a fun ritual for him. Here are a few tricks you can use to do just that: play copycat. Capitalize on a toddler's natural desire to mimic fun activities he sees. Bring your child into the bathroom with you to watch you brush your teeth. Be sure to lay out his toothbrush where he can reach it. While you're brushing, exaggerate a show of excitement. He'll likely be encouraged to copy what you're doing. Make the toothbrush a toy. Let him play with it. For example, show him how to brush his teddy bear's" teeth, or even let him brush yours. Create the impression that toothbrushes are fun to use. Play show and tell. While you are showing your child how to" play" with the toothbrush, tell him why tooth brushing is important. Say" sticky stuff collects on your teeth. The sugar bugs like the sticky stuff, and if they stay there long enough, they'll eat into your teeth, and then your teeth won't be strong and white. If you have a cavity that's filled, show it to him to reinforce this point. Use your finger as a toothbrush. If he still doesn't seem enthralled by his toothbrush, wrap a piece of gauze around your finger (you can actually purchase slip-on gauze pieces for this purpose) and use your finger to clean his teeth. Some toddlers find this less frightening than a long, plastic toothbrush. If you use toothpaste, choose one that has a flavor he likes. A word of caution: if you choose a toothpaste with fluoride, as most dentists recommend, use only a pea-size dab no more than once a day. Many children this age will swallow toothpaste. As a preventative medicine, the mineral fluoride has a narrow risk/benefit ratio: just the right amount of fluoride (via brushing) can help protect against tooth decay, but too much (via digestion) can contribute to weakened enamel. When nothing else will work: try the two-person technique we resorted to in our family to successfully brush the teeth of our resistant toddler. Have your child lie on your lap with his head facing you, while your partner sits in front of you knee-to-knee, supporting your child's body in his lap. Have your partner lean forward and hold your child's arms and legs while you gently brush his teeth from above (a position that will give you easier access and a better view). Your child will eventually catch on that brushing his teeth is a regular and necessary part of taking care of his whole body - and he'll enjoy doing it.

You need to train baby to accept solid food. Dietary discpline is important & never succumb to undue demands , never offer him replacements of a home made wholesome diet. Have patience he will take normal diet as hunger is bigger than tantrums.

When you keep your child on milk for a long time they do not eat other food. Do not develop liking for other food items. So we recommend parents to keep milk minimum in their child's diet. It just fills your child's stomach so that he does not eat other food. Now try to introduce variety of food items. Add ghee, oil a fruit every day. Use milk to prepare kheer. Or dalia porridge. 1 and half year old child should be able to eat all food items that an adult consumes.

You shall meet physiotherapy specialist to start pelvic muscle strengthening exercises. Swimming is one of the best way to do it. Well rather then muscles only. Rest of the factors play more important role in intercourse after child birth. Like lack of foreplay. Paying less attention to the partner due to hectic schedules of females behind child. Etc. You need to understand that pleasure stays in between two ears, not only between the legs. So if you will concentrate on those happiness. I'm sure intercourse would give more pleasure to both of you.
