Hair loss is due to dietary deficiency, hormonal imbalance, stress, strong chemical effects, styling tools, dandruff.
Remove these causes first and also follow these steps:-
1. For hair growth eat healthy diet.
2. Include protein rich diet. Soya food, protein shakes, beans, pulses are good for hair. 3. Nuts are good source of omega 3 and fiber. Its also good for hair. 4. Drink lots of water. 5. Start herbal tea or green tea. Its good for hair growth. 6. If you are non veg then its also good for hair. Protein helps in fast growth of hair and also prevent hair fall. 7. Take all dairy products. 8. You can apply curd on hair before head bath. After that wash hair with normal shampoo and apply conditioner. Onion juice is good in controlling hair fall. Take 3 spoons of onion juice and add one spoon olive oil in it. Mix this and apply on hair. Wash hair after 2-3 hrs or you can apply this at night time and wash hair next morning. If you want medicine for hair growth revert back.

Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - some blood tests like serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp help in better diagnosis of such condition. Also can you kindly send me the details of the surgery done on her so that I can see and then advise you accordingly.

Hair Fall Care - Do's and Don'ts

Health tips for control of hair fall -

Hair fall is experienced by most individuals in their lifetime. Most of the time hair fall gies unnoticed if the density of hair is good. Patients experience the hair fall though they are taking good diet and infact water intake is normal and even if they dont have any significant systemic disease.

1. Don't go for hair straightening and vigrous heat treatments if you are having hair fall. Its a myth that straightening would prevent hair fall.
2. Cover your hair when you are taking steam, sauana, or hot water bath
3. Treat your hair as a baby and pamper them. Dont use harsh shampoos and soap instead use a mild medicated shampoo and conditioner and infact wash your hair minimum twice in a week
4. Dont comb the hair when they are wet, let them dry a bit before you comb
5. You can oil the hair 1 hr. Before shampooing or washing, no neec to apply oil overnight.
6. Males and females have different pattern of hair loss and needs seperate consideration and treatment.
7. Wash your hair preferrably with luke warm water, avoid using hard water or underground water for washing them.
8. Hair fall may expose some areas if your scalp, try to change combing pattern and dont tie your hair very tight.
9. Anti hair fall shampoos and serums may be applied after consultation with the dermatologist

I have white hair at the scalp but not till the end. I am 21 now what should I do to reduce it.
Genetics: the age at which your hair starts turning white is also determined by your genetics to a great extent. Thus, if your parents or grandparents suffered from premature greying of hair, then you are most likely to suffer from the same problem improper diet: a balanced diet plays an important role in maintaining the health of your body which includes your hair as well. Lack of vitamin b12 is the most common cause of white hair. Thus, to combat this problem it is advisable to increase the consumption of food rich in vitamin b12 such as tuna, sardines, salmon, beef, egg, lamb, cheese and milk high levels of stress: the modern life along with its comforts brings a lot of stress and tension, whether it is work related or personal. The ultimate outcome is the occurrence of white hair. Emotional shock: sometimes, white hair occurs during a patch of time when a person is undergoing an emotional shock or turmoil. This is a temporary phenomenon and the growth of white hair automatically ceases after sometime. White hair treatment walk barefoot: morning walk is great for our overall health and benefits our hair as well. Walking barefoot on wet grass early in the morning prevents the occurrence of white hair. Eat more iodine rich foods: food rich in iodine help in preventing grey hair. Fish has a high content of iodine. In addition to this, bananas and carrot also contain some iodine. You can replace the sea salt or kosher salt with iodized table salt to increase your iodine intake treatment consult or ask privately.

I met my surgeon last week and undergone CT scan, my surgeon told everything is in good recovery. But my pains are still there. Still I'm not bending forward as per my surgeon. I haven't informed my relatives and friends about my surgery as I might get recovered soon, now it's almost 5 months, still not able to walk in a way before surgery, people are identifying easily my problem, these are highly frustrating me. Dear, sorry to hear about the pain you are suffering from but many a times fusion surgery becomes essential in order to prevent further compression of nerves and complete paraplegia. I do not know under what circumstances your doctor advised you the surgery as ct films are visible in the forum. However I would advice you not to forward bending for an year and star back strengthening exercises.

If you have a genetic disorder, you will know that this has been a hereditary problem. It would be easier to prevent such a condition. Although, all men, who are prone to excessive stress or who have started having white hair or their head, and assumes the same for their beard, can start taking some preventive measures. Treating your white hair and prevention of further increase could also be another tip to take from the following points: Eating healthy and maintaining a balanced diet is a decision and can be added on your schedule. All you need to do is to follow it thoroughly. Increase the consumption of vitamins, especially vitamin B12. Take supplements if you are aware of its deficiency. Make exercise a regular activity in your weekly routine. You could also meditate and take some yoga lessons which not only helps you maintain a healthy body but also releases you from stress. Try to reduce unhealthy habits like smoking and excessive drinking. These increase disorders and improve premature whitening of hair. There are numerous ways to get rid of the white hair in your beard. Shave off for the initial days of treatment and healthier living. First of all, if you shave off your beard you will look younger. Secondly, once you have started living healthier, you would start growing back better strands of hair in your beard. A healthy life and a healthy look go simultaneously. You could also opt to color your beard. You have to make sure to use good colored hair dye so that you do not damage your beard. You also have to consider that the dye would get in touch with your skin, which unlike your scalp, is softer and more delicate. This is why you must consider having the best product or simply ask for professional help. Try to relieve yourself from excessive stress. Some natural remedies like curry leaves and gooseberry are also used for pigmentation of hair and nourishment. These are a little time consuming but would yield effective results.

I am 29 year old and I m having a hair fall problem and my hairs are getting white. What should I do.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
I am 29 year old and I m having a hair fall problem and my hairs are getting white. What should I do.
Hi. It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Acid Phos. 200, Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash.

You seem to be having cervicogenic headache. The cause of headache is some disease process affecting the neck (cervical spine). It can be due. 1. Intervertebral disc prolapse in cervical spine. 2. Neck muscle strain. 3. Occipital neuralgia: entrapment of nerves at back of head. Follow these tips to get relief; 1. Take simple analgesics like paracetamol or ibuprofen round the clock for 4 to 5 days. 2. Apply warm water bag on neck if you find it soothing. 3. Do neck stretching exercises after pain is relieved. 4. Maintain good posture during work or reading to relieve neck strain. Avoid reading or computer work with neck bent. Keep text books at eye level. If problem is persistent you need to consult again.
