Hello lybrate-user, you have pain means your cavity has reached into the pulp (innermost part of tooth). You need to go for root canal treatment which can be confirmed with the x ray. For your further treatment also you need this x ray.

Don’t worry. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. As soon as you start seeing the results, you will be surprised as well as motivated to go beyond your weight loss and adopt and a lifelong healthy attitude. For a start please follow: 1. Watch what you eat – Are you eating too much junk, drink excessive alcohol and eating too much white food and sugar? Please cut it down to as low as you can from tomorrow. Cut down tea/coffee if you are too addicted to it. It is creating havoc inside your body. 2. Lifestyle – Are you a late sleeper and late riser? You can’t imagine what this schedule of yours is doing to your metabolism. It is degrading your digestive system from inside and your looks from outside. 3. Physically active – If you are a couch potato who loves to watch tv whole day then throw that couch of yours in the street and get yourself a treadmill tomorrow. Yes it is as simple as that. Who is stopping you? You have to be physically active all day long if you want to burn those extra calories. Do daily brisk walk, Pranayam, atleast 20 surayanamaskar everyday to start seeing the results. Take break between office work to walk a little or rather just climb some stairs to get that food you ate in lunch have space and heat to digest and absorb. What’s the harm in using your washroom to do a little middle of the day squats. Do that – No one is watching you. The key is to stay physically active all day long, no matter what. 4. Eat healthy and eat on time: Not only eating healthy is important but eating at right time is equally imp too. Have an early breakfast and early dinner and have 4 small meals between breakfast and dinner. To guide you a bit, here you go: A. Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B. At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea c. Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D. Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E. Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F. Evening (4-6 p. M) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G. Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p. M) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H. Have a glass of warm milk. Weight loss is 80% about what you eat and 20% about exercises. That said, both the things go hand in hand. If you want to lose weight in a more healthy way than be patient and just follow the regimen everyday. Slow and steady wins the race.

It is advisable to avoid junk, fried, fermented or oily food. You should also avoid the intake of alcohol, sugar, dairy products. 3. You should increase the intake of oats and cereals. Doctor, I am an overweighted person what medicine should I take for losing weight.
Hello you need to understand the concept of weight loss. It's not necessary to have medicine. It's a gradual process that requires cut down in calories under the guidance of a dietitian and regular exercise. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Avoid fried foods, sweets, carbonated drinks and processed foods. Include whole grains, sprouts, seasonal fruits and vegetables, salad vegetables like cucumber, kakri, onion, tomato etc. Drink plenty of water. Take flaxseed powder 1 tsp with lukewarm water on empty stomach. Take 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Include green tea 4-5 times a day. Thank you.

You reduce weight to stay healthy and fit. Do regular exercise like push ups, sit ups, plank, yoga etc. Eat small amount of food. But do not skip meals. Take food 5-6 times instead of 3 big meals. Use extra protein to lose weight. Use lukewarm water after meals. Avoid fast foods, junk foods etc. Avoid smoking, alcohol. Drink plenty of water specially before meals.

Can I use EMOLENE CREAM daily? Or almond oil? Which one is better? Please help me.

Can I use EMOLENE CREAM daily? Or almond oil? Which one is better? Please help me.
Use mositurizers only if the skin is dry. Orelse you do not need it. Rather apply sunscreen daily which is much more beneficial. Oils can trigger pimples, you need to be careful.

Very fact that you have a problem for 5 years and nothing serious has happened. This can't be something as you fear. Hiding the disease hides the cure. Modern medicine has developed so much in last 5 years that you should not mis trust it. The cause of headache can be anything like migraine, stress headache, tension headache, unhealthy life style, lack of rest or sleep, Galucoma in Eye pressure, vision defects, sinus, BP etc. etc. All can be treated but must be diagnosed first. First see a Consultant Physician for proper medical examination, related investigations, cross reference to Eye Specialist, ENT Specialist and if no relief finally to Neuro physician. Have courage and hope but your approach should be correct, swift and scientific . Best Wishes

How To Style Your Hair Without Damage?

MD - Dermatology
Dermatologist, Pune
How To Style Your Hair Without Damage?

How you style your hair can cause hair to look brittle, frizzy and lackluster or even fall out. Follow these tips from dermatologists to help style your hair without causing damage.

  • Dry your hair by wrapping it in a towel after a shower or bath. Another alternative is letting your hair air-dry.
  • Most people should handle wet hair as little as possible as wet hair breaks more easily when combed or brushed. However, people with tightly curled or textured hair should brush their hair when wet to decrease the chances of hair breakage.
  • Keep brushing to minimum. Brushing your hair 100 strokes each day can cause split ends.
  • Reduce the use of “long-lasting hold” styling products. Using a comb to style your hair after you apply the product can cause the hair to break and can lead to hair loss over time.
  • Allow your hair to partially air dry before you style or comb. Decreasing the number of times per week that you blow dry also helps limit damage.
  • Flat irons should be used on dry hair on a low or medium heat setting, no more often than every other day. If you use a curling iron, only leave it in place for a second or two. No matter your hair type, excessive heat can damage your hair.
  • Do not continuously wear braids, cornrows, ponytails and hair extensions. These styles pull on the hair and can cause tension that leads to breakage. If the tension continues, permanent hair loss can develop.
