To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1.Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2.Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a.Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B.Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C.If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D.Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E.Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F.You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G.You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. I am sending the diet chart. Follow it in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid soft drinks, western fast food (burgers, french fries, pizza etc. They disturb your digestion. 6. You can try protein powders like endura mass, milk powder, soya protein. And creatinine for weight gain by taking 1 tea spoon added in milk once a day. Medicines - * you can take shatavaryadi churn of baidyanath 1/2 teaspoon with milk in evening everyday for atleast 3 months only under the supervision of an ayurveda expert. I assure you that you definitely gain weight fastly by following them. Be healthy.

I am 47 yr. I feel always tiredness. I have thyroid but in control. But should I do.
Please get your hemoglobin checked, because it is possible you may have anaemia, which could be the reason for tiredness. If there is no anaemia detected, then please eat adequate diet with proteins like eggs and a lot green vegetables. You also must be aware that in hypothyroidism one should avoid soya containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, mustard and coffee as these items affect treatment. Please inform the hb level.

What are the symptoms of a thyroid condition?

Thyroid issues can be difficult to spot at first since many of the symptoms are also indicative of other health conditions. The symptoms of thyroid dysfunction can also vary in severity from person to person. If you have other medical conditions, symptoms associated with those conditions may be more severe due to underlying thyroid issues. The cause of thyroid disease, severity of thyroid hormone deficiency and the length of time the body has been deprived of the correct levels of hormones all affect symptom severity.

Here are some signs to look for that might indicate a thyroid condition:

Feeling run down, exhausted, drowsy and/or fatigued, even with proper rest

Feelings of depression or lack of interest in things previously enjoyed/Increased and/or heavier menstrual periods, PMS, fertility/miscarriage issues

Constipation, even with adequate fiber intake

Forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating, difficulty learning or feeling like you are in a 'fog'

I was diagnosed with multiple calculi on June 28, was having fever and on 30 june a small stone came out through urine, I had checked my weight as 46 on 28 june and on 1st July its 44 ,is it a matter of concern as I feel fatigue soon and do frequent bath cause weight loss.

You might have checked your weight on different machines. Even if it is on the same machine, it could be due to poor intake of food for those 2 days causing this minor change in weight. Get your infection treated, eat normally, drink a lot of water to ensure forceful urine expelling the stones if all are small in size.

I gained weight a year ago. And I am not able to shed it off. I am not able to follow a certain diet because of my jobs demands. And don't seem to have endurance and energy to workout like before. Please advise as to what I can do to get past this problem. Thanks in advance.

Reduce intake of carbohydrates and fats, increase intake of fluids and proteins, and go for a walk of at least 45 min a day 5 days a week. There is no easy way to reduce weight.

because after stoping gym your physical exercise will b stoped. and the quantity of food is increase due to cleansing process.once go through the diet plan when you stop the gym. increase the protein intake., fruits. drink plenty water. and if you stop the gym then continue the yoga which control the weight.
