Can we eat cashew In summer as well. When so ever other than winter I use to eat cashew it do effects my mouth and create heat in stomach. But I use to eat peanuts and almond all season but it don't have any unusual effect like that.

Weight is not the issue. Calculate your BMI. It is calculated by formula Weight in kg/(height in meters) square.18.5 to 24.9 is normal. If it's below 18 then you are underweight and over 25 is over weight. Over 30 is obese..

Hello Roop, Yes. Three factors determine when you should take calcium supplements: 1) The type of calcium. Check the label to find out what kind of calcium a supplement contains. If the supplement contains calcium citrate, you can take it with or without food. If the supplement contains calcium carbonate, take it with food. Stomach acid produced while eating helps the absorption of calcium carbonate. 2) The total daily dose. Calcium is absorbed most efficiently when it's taken in amounts of 500 milligrams (mg) or less at one time. So if you take 1,000 mg of calcium a day, split it into two or more doses over the day. 3) If you take prescriptions. Calcium supplements can interact with many prescription medicines, including antibiotics and high blood pressure medications. It's also a good idea to take your calcium supplements at a different time from your multivitamin or an iron-rich meal

Set specific times to eat and stick by this schedule. Once your body gets used to eating on a schedule, you should start to feel hungry at these times. Avoid drinks before or during mealtimes. If you want to increase your appetite, avoid filling up on beverages. Wait half an hour before or after meals to drink. Eat small meals. Eating smaller meals frequently throughout the day can help stimulate your appetite. Instead of trying to get down three large square meals, aim to consume four to six smaller meals.

Hello sir, Depend on severity of ligament tear pain is reduced. So need detail examination and history. Consult your physiotherapist. Apply ice fermentation every 2 hrs once. Complete rest. Knee brace with elevate leg. Avoid full weight bearing on injured leg. Avoid floor sitting.

Hi, do regular exercise. You should go for brisk walk in the morning. Include fruits like oranges, grapes, are good energy and natural source. Drink 3-4 liters of water. Sleep well atleast 6-8 hours. Eat salad before meals. Include protein rich food in your diet. Take small and frequent meals.

Eating good protein and fruits helps with increasing weight. Have a fruit with every meal and eat an egg daily. Drink atleast 2 cups of milk and take 1 cup curd daily. Eat non veg weekly twice. Focus on eating lean cuts. Nuts and seeds also help to improve weight. Soak few almonds and walnuts and have them as first thing in the morning. Focus on increasing your food intake. Make sure your source of food is clean and nutritious. Do not opt for high cheesy and deep fried food to increase weight. Eating healthy and nutritious food is key to healthy weight management. The reason of not gaining weight are * improper diet * indigestion (disease of stomach, loose motions) * thyroid disorder * diabetes *addiction (smoking or alcoholism) dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. 6. You can try protein powders like endura mass, milk powder, soya protein. And creatinine for weight gain by taking 1 tea spoon added in milk once a day. I assure you that you definitely gain weight fastly by following them. Be healthy

Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

Hello Doctor, My husband has been diagnosed with calcium deficiency in spinal region. Due to that he has severe pain radiating in different parts of the body. Apart from this he has also been diagnosed with high cholesterol levels according to ECG reports. So, would you please recommend best foods or a diet plan where his body can absorb calcium and at the same time eliminate the risk of cholesterol? Knee Injuries - Things You Should be Aware of

Knee injury can occur from the direct blow as well as through stretching and twisting injuries. At times the ligament that holds the knee in place gets stressed and results in sprains. Depending on the extent of the ligament and fibre damage, the sprains are graded. Then there are knee injuries that are caused by overuse of it. These injuries cause harm to the tendons and the muscles. Since the knee is interconnected to a lot of other structures, any damage to the knee can have serious repercussion to other connected bones and ligaments.

What are the Risk Factors?

1. Muscle imbalance leading to hamstring spasm.

2. Imbalance of the thigh muscle leading to injury of the knee.

3. Pregnant women and people who are overweight are at increased risk of knee injury

Signs and Symptoms of a Knee Injury:

Knee injuries that are serious in nature can result in instant swelling along with difficulty in bending it. People may find it difficult to bear any sort of weight whatsoever. Joint pain, swelling, inflammation of the muscles are some of the other symptoms of injury to the knee. Pain, instability, locking of the knee can be felt while walking fast or climbing stairs.

When to Contact a Doctor?

Any knee injury should be instantly reported to a doctor. Signs such as deformity, loss of sensation, cold ankle, swelling of knee etc. are signs of a knee injury. A doctor should be consulted, if home remedies such as rest, elevation, compression and ice treatment fail to fetch any fruitful results. If the swollen area has become warm and red and accompanies fever, it is a sign to visit the doctor.

How is a Knee Injury Diagnosed by a Doctor?

A doctor starts the diagnosis with medical history along with physical exam of the patient. Doctor first does a thorough inspection of the nerve and blood supply of the area.The next step of the diagnosis includes palpation. This is a step where the doctor tries to find out the exact location of the pain and tries to correlate the same with the injury location. The doctor might also stress the ligament in order to find out if they are fine. Other imagery tests such as X-ray and MRI are performed to find out the exact location of the injury.

Treatment Available-

The nature of the injury decides the treatment plan. In many cases, the injured area is suggested to be kept at rest or moved in the specific direction as per the direction of a physiotherapist. For serious injuries with a tendon or ligament injury, a reconstructive surgery is necessary to get the knee to the original condition. The type of surgical procedure depends on the kind of Injury one have faced.

Hi lybrate-user here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. Suffering from knee pain.Not in a position even to walk for long distance.Doctor suggests to go for knee re transplant .Please help to get it cured without operation.

If you want to avoid surgery u have to do lot of exercises to strengthen thigh and calf muscle and take stick for support while walking and if needed intraarticular injection may give u little comfort.
