1. For increasing weight ...First we have to work on ur digestive system..It will do Aam pachan and will increase ur digestive power and appetite.... 2. Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.. 3. Take small meals 4-5 times a day.. 4. Eat healthy n light food .. 5. Drink plenty of fluids.. 6. Avoid constipation... 7. Walk 1km daily in evening... 8 .Follow up after a week.

Hi sir I'm doing bodybuilding for about 16 months and taking supplements as necessary. I have came to know that one pound of muscle require at least 1 gm of protein. My weight is 180 pounds but I'm taking approximately 100 gm of protein everyday and does weight workout 5 times per week. Can you please suggest the amount of protein required for a day.

Protien get consumed only when the intake of carbohydrates and sugar is very less. When your food contain more carbohydrate and sugar then what ever the protien consume will not be much utilised and consumed. The necessity of protien per pound differ from each person based on the kind of job he is doing and based on the climate where he lives. Liver has the capability to convert a carbohydrates to protien when the intake of protien is not sufficient. Which is scientifically proven. Just for example cow eat only grass and leaves, according to us it has no protien but it body mass has more muscle build up of protien. So body has the capability to convert any form of energy to another form. So don't worry about the intake of protien, when the body find something is deficient, then you start to crave food which has more nutrients which it lack. Enjoy body building and take care.

Simple Carbohydrates Vs Complex Carbohydrates

You need carbohydrates as they are the body's main energy source. Still, weight loss enthusiasts will keep claiming that you should avoid them at all costs. However, the truth is, you need to eat carbs, but you need to find the right ones.

It is believed that consuming complex carbohydrates is better than simple carbohydrates. But the problem arises when you need to differentiate between them, because nutrition labels on food items do not inform you if the carb content is simple or complex.

What are Carbohydrates?
Carbohydrates are an essential component in various kinds of food. You may only relate carbs to bread and rice, but they are also found in dairy, seeds, sugary foods and sweets, fruits, legumes, vegetables, nuts and grains.

Carbohydrates are comprised of three elements that is starch, fibre and sugar. Sugar is a simple carb while starch and fibre are complex carbs.

Refined or Simple Carbohydrates
Simple carbs are easier to digest. Examples of simple carbs include:

  • natural sugar (desi gurh, desi khaand, desi mishri, desi kakvi)
  • high-fructose and corn syrups
  • brown sugar
  • sucrose, glucose and fructose
  • fruit juice concentrate

Simple carbs should be avoided as they lead to type 2 diabetes and other associated diseases. Here are some foods you must avoid:

  • soda
  • baked treats
  • packaged cookies
  • breakfast cereal

Complex Carbohydrates: Since they have higher contents of fiber and are slow to digest, complex carbs are the good kind of carbs. They are good for people who want to lose weight or are suffering from type 2 diabetes.
Fiber and starch make up the group of complex carbs. Fibers are good for your bowels and cholesterol. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans and whole grains are excellent sources of fiber.

If your food has fiber in it, it will also contain starch. The only difference is that certain foods are less fibrous and more on the starchy side, such as potatoes. Whole wheat bread, cereal, corn, peas, rice and oats are also high in starch.

Choosing the right carb for you will take patience and time. Dear, you can get a healthy muscular body by following methods: - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. Flattening of thoracic curvature ,to some extent .diminution of disc spaces with small osteophytes formation at the adjacent vertebral margins at T4>T8. This happens because foulty sitting posture. You should consult a good physiotherapist nearby and learn some stretching and strengthening exercises. Try to maintain neutral posture while sitting and standing. Avoid continues sitting for more than 30 minutes at a stretch.

Taking eggs regularly is very healthy and you can take them absolutely without any problem.If you are slightly over weight, then avoid the yellow portion, but egg whites still can be taken.
