A type of arthritis that occurs when flexible tissue at the ends of bones wears down. The wearing down of the protective tissue at the ends of bones (cartilage) occurs gradually and worsens over time. Joint pain in the hands, neck, lower back, knees or hips is the most common symptom. Osteoarthritis Treatment: Homeopathy helps to slow down the process of joint pain (osteoarthritis) & also gives a long term relief in pain without side effects. Dr. raj bonde.

I am suffering from elbow pain. When ever I get heavy things my shoulder pain also. What is best medicine I can take.

BPTh/BPT

I am suffering from elbow pain. When ever I get heavy things my shoulder pain also. What is best medicine I can take.
The most common cause of elbow pain I see on a daily basis is from overuse or repetitive movements. Eventually small tears can begin accumulating in the surrounding tendons, which may cause inflammation and pain. First and foremost, the best way to treat elbow pain & shoulder pain is to find the source of the pain and eliminate it at least temporarily. If you continue to do what caused the pain in the first place it is safe to say that the pain will linger. Here are few strategies to help you mitigate, or even eliminateelbow pain: 1> stretch your elbow & wrist flexors: you extend your elbow and wrist and gently use your opposite hand to pull them into greater extension. 2> supplement with omega-3s: this can help with the reduction of swelling and formation of scar tissue in your elbows. The other option would be to get more omega-3s in your diet is from fish, walnuts, flax seeds and chia seeds. Drop a feedback if you found it helpful. Good luck!

Yoga is very good for health. But it should always be done under supervision of a expert. Perfection in poses should be done gradually.

Tips to relieve Arthritis Knee pain

MSc in Orhopedic Physiotherapy (UK), BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Bangalore
Tips to relieve Arthritis Knee pain
1. Maintain a healthy weight.

2. Find a low-impact exercise you enjoy.

3. Give physical therapy a try: a physical therapist can help design an exercise program that fits your individual ability level and teach you proper techniques to spare your joints.

4. Get enough rest and relaxation.

5. Make sure you're getting enough sleep: arthritis pain can interfere with a good night's sleep. However, proper sleep is necessary for overall health.

6. Use ice and/or heat: for many people with arthritis pain, ice can help relieve pain and swelling and heat can help ease stiffness.

7. Apply a topical pain reliever:

8. Use an oral pain reliever: ask your doctor about your options. Oral pain medications are commonly used to treat osteoarthritis symptoms.

9. Consider injections: persistent arthritis pain may respond to treatment with injections. Available options include corticosteroids, which can be used up to 2 or 3 times a year to relieve severe pain. Talk to your doctor about the benefits and risks of injectable treatments for knee pain.

10. Talk to your doctor about surgery: if you have severe osteoarthritis symptoms that interfere with daily life and do not respond to conservative treatment, surgery may be necessary. Ask your doctor about arthroscopic procedures or total knee replacement, may be necessary.

Dear lybrate-user, You need good clinical examinations. Your pain may be myofascial - from muscle strain. If pain is present all over the body it may be due to fibromyalgia. You may need some blood tests like Vitamin D3 level, calcium pl consult a doctor.
