Am 27 years old am suffering with acidity problem day to day my weight is increasing rapidly and am becoming very lazy and feeling overweight earlier I was 73 now am 85.feeling very heavy but am a sports player. I stopped doing workouts since 9 months since then am facing problem with acidity and gas problem. Due to this I even stopped eating in nights and eating only pulkas still no change. Please help me out.

1.Take bland diet, Avoid foods which cause acidity like spicy, oily, fatty and junk foods, onion, garlic, citrus fruit, tomato etc 2..Have proper Breakfast, Don’t skip or postpone your meal, Take home made food, Avoid food and water from outside, 3.Eat smaller meals at frequent intervals like 5-6 meals per day, and don't overeat. 4.Drink plenty of water. Take your meal regularly and timely. Avoid fasting, Don’t skip your breakfast. 5. Stop smoking, consumption of alcohol and tobacco, excess tea or coffee if you are having, 7. Avoid stress 8. Take one tablet of pan40 in the morning before breakfast daily and one tablet of unienzyme three times daily after food for few days 9.Consult for further advice

My son has injured his right middle finger and broken the tendon. What is to be done? what' s the best action to be taken ?

Tendon needs to be repaired and also get x ray of the finger to see if the bone is ok. Don' t delay the procedure too long as the tendon is like a rubber band and tends to shorten with time.

Hello lybrate-user, As a first and foremost step in your case should be cutting down all kinds of fast foods and fatty foods (such as pastries, deep fried foods, etc), refined foods, packaged beverages, cold drinks, etc. Try choosing healthy food choises while eating out, for example try having sandwich without cheese, if you have the option of salads then avail that, substitute rice with roti/chapati. Start taking small and frequent meals. Also when you get back home, and your stomach is half filled, try doing some exercises, like lying on bed facing the ceiling, making circles in air with your legs, cycling in air, kicking in air. All these exercises helps toning your thigh muscles and lower abdomen. When you get back home, if possible take a walk (one stop) to your building. Never skip your breakfast! Grab something, like soy milk, milk and cornflakes, boiled veg salad, corn salad, etc. Always remember our body needs a carbohydrate rich breakfast, carb + protein lunch, and a light easily digestible dinner. Single fruit diet- 1. Take one fruit diet, only banana, for 2weeks. You can eat as many ripe bananas as you wish but you don't have to take anything else in diet. (banana is fiber rich & high nutrient fruit with a no. Of health benefits. This would detoxify your body and help loose weight naturally). Rest enough as your body will go through deep detox and restoration. 2. Drink plenty of luke warm water, up to 3 ltrs per day. Sit on a chair and do following yogasanas- kapalbhati pranayama empty stomach (starting with 10 min) followed by brisk running, aerobics & following yogasanas: -cobra pose (bhujang asana) -bow pose (dhanurasana) -boat pose (naukasana) -wind relieving pose (pavanamukthasana) -bow pose (dhanurasana) -boat pose (naukasana) -wind relieving pose (pavanamukthasana)-sun salutation (surya namaskar). Do not's do not consume too many sweets and chocolates, as they are rich in carbohydrates. Do not eat fast foods. Avoid intake of diary products like milk, cheese, ghee and ice cream. Get your thyroid test done. Follow this schedule strictly for 2wks.

According to ayurveda, for treatmnet of obesity, you firstly stop causative factors from your life style. Like drinking too much cold water, eat too much sweets, day sleep, water after meal, lack of exercise, curd, menda etc. I will need your detail history. Till you can follow this * start drinking hot water * stop day sleep * start any exercise in morning, like suryanamaskar, walking, joging, sports * drink juice of turmeric n ginger with honey * take jau barley, instead of ghenhu wheat. * use cow ghee n milk only * boild rise in open pot, don't use cocker. Hello- 1. Eat a high-protein breakfast. Eating a high-protein breakfast has been shown to reduce cravings and calorie intake throughout the day. 2. Avoid sugary drinks and fruit juice. These are the most fattening things you can put into your body, and avoiding them can help you lose weight. 3. Drink water a half hour before meals. One study showed that drinking water a half hour before meals increased weight loss by 44% over 3 months. 4. Choose weight loss-friendly foods. 5. Eat soluble fiber. Studies show that soluble fibers may reduce fat, especially in the belly area. Fiber supplements like glucomannan can also help. 6. Drink coffee or tea. If you’re a coffee or a tea drinker, then drink as much as you want as the caffeine in them can boost your metabolism by 3-11%. 7. Eat mostly whole, unprocessed foods. Take a restricted diet giving exact calories based on ideal body weight, sugar levels and extent of daily exercise. There is no permanent cure for diabetes, it can only be controlled, treatment is for life time.
