As you feel pain in knees, follow these usefultips for pain relief: * first check out bone mineral density (bmd). In case of low bmd, your calcium level in body are low. So take take calcium rich diet daily. Take a glass (300 ml) of full cream milk daily or 100 gm of cheese or 1-2 eggs regularly. * give a gentle oil massage to knees regularly and wrap your knees with cloth dipped in hot water for atleast 10-15 minutes. * wear knee cap or wrap crape bandage during walk for knee support. * sit atleast for 5-8 minutes in sunlight in morning or evening for vitamind. *avoid heal shoe and wear only flat shoes for balanced load on knees. * check out your blood sugar level and hemoglobin level in every 6 months. * if you have any history of rheumatoid arthritis in family then checkout your ra factor. * take guggalu tablets if himalaya one tablet daily for atleast 3 months. * take a piece of garlic, crush it and boil it a glass of milk and drink daily for fast pain relief.

You take high calorie n high protein diet. Don't skip breakfast. With breakfast you drink 1 glass of milk n 2 anjeer n 2 almonds. Take 4-5 meals in a day in frequent intervals.

Weight Gain and Weight Loss

One should think logical and practically before jumping into unknown terrains. It's always better to know your body and it's nature as each individual is born with a unique identity (due to the role played by genetics).

The metabolic rate differs from person to person and so there cannot be a one plan that fits all regarding weight loss or weight gain.

Some important points to be noted.

Always check with your physician and see that you are fit to reduce or gain weight.

Infact it very important to confirm that you are overweight or underweight before you start anything!

See that you do not suffer from thyroid problems, diabetes or hypertension or any other illnesses.

Ensure that any change in lifestyle (including dieting and exercising) is comfortable for you and does not cause pain or discomfort.

There are no short cuts for success. It can be dangerous to use supplements or steroids, or even thinking of starvation or avoiding a particular nutrient in order to achieve fast results.

Use common-sense in taking important decisions. If some body promises miraculous changes without a scientific basis and that too in a short period if time, be aware! it can cause more damage than the promised benefits in the future.

Always stick to a balanced diet as the body requires all the nutrients.

Always include exercise whether it's weight loss or weight gain.

Always prefer natural ingredients over artificial ones.

Keep good hydration (your thirst should be the best indicator). When you are thirsty please drink plain and clean water and nothing else. An average of 8-10 glasses of water would be sufficient. If you are active and do workouts (exercise) then you can increase a few more glasses of water.

Avoid all junk food, fried food, very salty food, ready-made juices, sodas (cold drinks) tobacco and alcohol.
Eat freshly prepared food only. Have green salads, sprouts, whole grains (all types of grains), pulses, seeds, nuts, fruits and vegetables so that there is a good portion of all the nutrients in your diet.

Keep a track of your progress. Keep checking the vital parameters once in a week so that you are safe and healthy. And enjoy the process of transformation which should be slow and study. You should remember that it's not a competition with anybody but a conscious decision to stay fit and healthy which should make you happy and motivated.

Chyawanprash is a better option. However, the healthy way of putting on weight is good diet and exercise. Now, you should focus on what you are eating. Increase your protein intake and good fats. Avoid fried foods and sweets. Take more protein rich foods such as eggs, fish, lean meat, soya chunks, paneer, curds. You should aim at increasing weight through proper diet rich in multiple sources of protein, complex carbs, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. You should consult a health coach/nutritionist for getting a proper advise on how to increase your weight in the right way. The weight increasing supplements that are usually marketed on tv and media have lot of carbs and sugars, which increase your weight by the way of increasing your fat percentage, which is not the right thing to do. When you are going to br filled up with your mind with negative mind discard it saying I am potent and matters not good and burden to me. So and so it will turn into positive. Ok.

Hye. Thankyou for the query. Skipping a meal in the long run can lead to lack of growth development especially at your age when your nutrient needs are high. Skipping a meal causes body to break down from within and overeating in the next meal. Apart from acidity, bloating, indigestion you could also suffer from deficiencies. Eat small but frequent meals to help growth.

Do exercise regularly like weight lifting,muscle building.Eat food more frequently.Do not skip meals.No water just before or during meals.Use whole cream milk.Use nutritional supplement.Take dense fruits,vegetables.Add healthy fat in cooking.Use ghee,butter etc with foods.These common things will help you but for more details consult me privately on lybrate.

Hi. A healthy balanced diet rich in proteins and calcium is required during this time. I usually advise my patients to have a big glass of milk daily, along with 5-6 almonds, walnuts and lots of fruits and veggies to keep constipation at bay. Have plenty of chicken, eggs and dals. Hello. We can't reverse the established pathology back, but we can control the process in the stage it is so that it wouldn't grow further. Apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and take orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Also, increase your dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15min. 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, do walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help you.

Ashwagandha is a short woody shrub that belongs to the Solanaceae family. The powder is obtained from its roots. Take 1 glass of warm milk and add 2 tablespoons of ashwagandha powder to it. Then, mix one teaspoon of clarified butter (ghee). Stir it well and drink two times a day. Do this for one month.

There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed: take high protein prescribed diet, have paneer, eggs and potatoe daily. Incorporate dry fruits in your diet on a daily basis. Eat more than three meals a day. If you naturally have a really fast metabolism, eating three meals a day, no matter what's in them, isn't going to help you bulk up.your body burns calories fast, so you need to feed it more than it can use up right away. That means eating not just when you? re hungry, but throughout the day. Aim to eat five meals a day to gain weight. Stick to whole foods loaded with nutrients. To gain healthy weight, eat food that's nutrient rich and nourishing. While you could easily gain weight by drinking sugary sodas and eating large pizzas every day, this can wreck your metabolism and cause you to gain fat instead of muscle. When you're choosing food to eat, try the following? look for foods that are relatively unprocessed. For example, choose old-fashioned oatmeal instead of instant, and go for fresh chicken as opposed to processed lunch meat cook as many meals from scratch as you can. Avoid getting frozen dinners, fast food and snack foods, which contain a lot of salt, sugar and other fillers that aren't nutritious. Focus on protein, fats and carbohydrates. These are the three staples that will help you gain weight, and you need plenty of each of them to stay healthy. Focus on incorporating protein, fats and carbohydrates into every meal you eat so your diet stays balanced. For increasing your weight Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong, chana,Dal, rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit.
