I am losing my hair last few months give me your suggestion treating my hair to stop losing.
You are suffering from hormonal changes causing Androgenetic alopecia causing hair fall. It's completely stoppable even regrowth of hair is possible with certain medications without any side effects. Treatment depends on the grade of hair loss. So, it's a must for diagnosing which grade, you are in for an effective treatment. Please send photos of your head for accurate diagnosis and proper treatment.

I have black spots as well as pimples on my back. I used scar removal cream but did't see any changes. What should I do.

Hello, pimple scars can be removed easily by use of ayurvedic medicines, try amba haldi powder with milk on affected area, it will surely help you, but first recurrence of pimples should be stopped, for that a) go to bed early b) avoid spicy and junk diet c) if you have any digestion problems then get rid of that.

I NEED TO CHANGE MY COLOUR.
How can I reduce my melanin quickly?
Pls suggest me.
Hello, it is a natural process to have dark or fair complexion. One can't change the complexion completely. It is basically the glow on the skin which is mainly required. For the same I suggest you to eat good diet with lots or red fruits and green vegetables. Use a sun protective measure. All the best.

Hair is primarily made of protein and, therefore, it makes sense to eat a protein-rich diet if you’re trying to maintain your healthy hair. However, eating a steak every day isn’t going to help you. High-fat diets will result in increased testosterone levels, which has been linked to hair loss -- so steaks are not among the foods that prevent hair loss. Stick to leaner proteins such as fish (which has a myriad of health benefits beyond just maintaining your hair), chicken, calf’s liver, brewer’s yeast, low-fat cheese, eggs, almonds, beans, and yogurt. Soy milk and tofu are also smart to add to your diet because they are high in protein and low in bad fats.

What is DHT? How it is formed in our body? How it leads to hair fall and baldness? Is it possible to prevent its formation? If Possible how we can prevent it? And is there any diet, medicine or good lifestyle to prevent from it or reduce its formation?

What is DHT? How it is formed in our body? How it leads to hair fall and baldness? Is it possible to prevent its form...
Hi lybrate-user, DHT does effect hair growth. But there is no way to stop them its production. However, there are medication which can control and alter its production and help you with hair loss. Male pattern baldness, also known as androgenetic alopecia, is the most common type of baldness in men. Hair at the temples and on the crown will slowly thin and eventually disappear. There is a genetic component to male pattern baldness, and DHT is thought to be one of the major factors involved in its etiology. Hair growth is split into three phases: anagen, catagen and telogen: Anagen: the growth phase. Hairs remain in this phase for 2-6 years. The longer this phase lasts, the longer the hair grows. Normally around 85% of the hairs on the head are in this phase Catagen: this phase lasts only 2 weeks and allows the follicle to renew itself Telogen: this is the resting phase where the follicle lies dormant and can last from 1-4 months. Normally 10-15% of hairs are in this phase. Once this phase is over and anagen begins again, the existing hair is pushed out of the pore by the new growth and naturally sheds. In MPB, follicles slowly become miniaturized and the anagen phase of the hairs is reduced. Due to the shortened growing phase, the hair's maximum length is reduced. At the same time, the telogen phase lengthens. This cycle slowly becomes more and more weighted toward the telogen phase. Over time, the anagen phase becomes so short that the new hairs do not even peek through the surface of the skin. Added to this, telogen hair growth is less well anchored to the scalp, explaining why there is often hair loss noted during showering. Miniaturization of the follicles causes the shaft of the hair to become thinner and thinner with each cycle of growth. Eventually, normal (terminal) hairs are reduced to villus hairs. Villus hairs are the soft, light hairs that cover a baby and mostly disappear during puberty in response to androgens. Hair on the head continually grows without the presence of DHT. However, hair in the armpit, pubic hair and beard hair cannot grow without the presence of androgens. Interestingly, individuals who have been castrated or have 5-AR deficiency will never suffer from male pattern baldness but will also have very little hair elsewhere on the body. DHT is entirely necessary for most hair growth but is detrimental to head hair growth. DHT is thought to attach to androgen receptors on hair follicles and, through an unknown mechanism, genetically trigger the receptors to begin miniaturizing.

Hello sir, I have Three queries. First is regarding my dandruff problem. I am 34 years male. Since 15 years I have dandruff problem. Mine is a oily skin and requires head bath daily and I do head bath daily with Head and shoulders shampoo. Some times during winter and due to change of water, the intensity is high. Once I use selsun shampoo it would be alright. And later again the dandruff will appear after 2-3 months later. Is my practice correct. Is it fine to use shampoo like head and shoulder daily? Kindly suggest the best practice and right shampoo for my daily use. Second, I have chronic Urticaria since 1.5 years. I noticed it during last winter. Since it was mild. I did not bother. But this again repeated during this winter during Oct 16 and still continuing. The severity is more in winter and now the severity reduced but still persists. As per dermatologist recommendation, I stopped certain food items but still no use. Whe it's severe I use Tab. Dazit and Levocet daily. Kindly suggest the permanent solution for this Urticaria issue. Third, My wife hair fall issue, after having two kids 4 years old and 1.5 years old, she got severe hair fall issue since 1st pregnancy. Till now it's not stopped. Since 1 month she is using Tab. follihair daily as recommended by endocrinologist as she developed hypothyroidism during 2nd pregnancy. We both stay in Bangalore. We use mild hard water for daily bathing. Kindly suggest the right solution to reduce her severe hair fall problem. Many thanks in advance.

I hope this message finds you in good health. To prevent hair fall, you can follow some simple steps as listed below: 1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home). 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like egg, yogurt and lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Rub your scalp with the juice of white onion.
