I am loosing my hair quickly and have tried all shampoo, but there is no effect, can you please help me with this!
Hello lybrate user, 1. See whether you have severe dandruff? if yes do antidandruff treatment your hair fall will stop. If the scalp is itching you actually have dandruff problem. 2. Start with biotin supplement capsules one every night for 30 days, it helps to reduce hair fall 3. Apply medicated oil (nilibhringyadi taila, vatajatadi taila etc. According to your scalp type) trice in a week to the hair, avoid use of chemicals to your hair like gel, colouring, straightening 4. Do not have oily, spicy, salty food, alcohol, nonveg (meat), carbonated drinks as they increase hairfall 5. Do not often be active sexually with your partner or masturbarate as it increases hairfall (androgenic alopecea- type of hairfall common in males) 6. Stress can be a reason, do not get angry or anxious too much. 7. Prefer veg diet and fruit juices. 8. Avoid direct sunlight as it increase hairfall. 9. Washing hair properly is very important as use soft towel to dry them, do not harshly treat your hair 10. Do not have bath over hair with high salty level water (water from borewell, hand pumps) 11. See whether your dad or uncle or brother have same hairfall problem as it can be hereditary 12. If you sweat alot it will cause dandruff in hairs so wash them properly with ayurvedic medicated shampoo. 13. If you have chronic acidity, it will require treatment as it increases hairfall rate. Everyone has a growth of hair but when rate of hairfall is double the grow rate then the hair fall is visible. So it is more important to stop the hairfall first then you can concentrate on hair growth. Having the correct food and supplements assure that you have a proper hair growth. 14. The medicines best of hairfall depends upon them cause of your problem and there is no straight forward medicines in ayurveda like allopathy any normal medicine may also be useful if the exact cause is known. Ayurvedic treatment is very effective for above problem.

Things You Should Know About Breast Enhancement!

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure designed to enhance as well as improve the symmetry and fullness of the breasts through implants (gel-like fluid in a flexible sac); or to bring back breast volume lost as a result of pregnancy, aging or weight loss. Before opting for such a procedure, there are certain points that you absolutely must consider, which are:

  1. Picking silicone or saline implants: when it comes to implants, you have two options available - saline or silicone. Providing a uniform shape and firmness, saline implants come filled with sterile salt water. In contrast, silicone breast implants contain elastic gel, giving them the look of natural breasts. In terms of elasticity, saline implants can be adjusted more easily as you can inject or remove liquid from the implant. In contrast, silicone implants cannot be adjusted as they are already filled with the gel.
  2. Getting the right size: choosing the right size for breast augmentation is very important. It's wrong to believe that bigger implants are not always good. The size of implant should be decided after proper assessment of the breasts. In general, size selection is made based on your natural breast size. Whether you opt for a saline implant or a silicone one, implants come in varied sizes. When you choose a size for yourself, you'll have to keep in mind your body frame as well as appearance you wish to have post surgery.
  3. Incision options: depending on the results you expect, you'll also need to consider which incision (a surgical cut made in your skin before the operation) option you should select before undergoing surgery. Incisions can range anywhere from 1-4 inches, with their lengths increasing as the implants expand in size. There are also certain incisions, such as the belly button incisions that are really small and don't leave behind visible scar tissue.

Apart from belly button incision, some of the other incision options that a surgeon may employ for breast augmentation could be:

  • Armpit incision (incision made in the underarm area for breast implantation through the armpit)
  • Nipple incision (incision made on the areola, which is the circular area of pigmented skin surrounding a nipple)
  • Crease incision (incision made in the crease area below the breast for implantation).

Fat grafting of breasts is another alternative or a complementary procedure to the breast implant. If you're considering breast augmentation surgery, be sure to check with your doctor about these factors and which options are best suited to you, before proceeding.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

My wife has developed some face pigmentation from quite some time. Also her face remains dry n also pimples pop out. She is quite worried n wants to get rid off this asap. Please suggest some treatment measures. What kind of precautions she should take.

My wife has developed some face pigmentation from quite some time. Also her face remains dry n also pimples pop out. ...
- do not scratch or squeeze the lesions - do not apply creams or oils on face - do not apply hair oils or wash oil within 1 hour of application - take plenty of fluids - wash your face 2-3 times daily especially when it's oily - certain foods can increase acne such as chocolates, oily food etc, avoid these if they increase acne - take plenty of fluids and fruits - dandruff can also increase acne, so use anti-dandruff shampoo if you have acne. - also, for the marks, try to avoid sunexposure as far as possible (use broadspectrum gel based sunscreen, cover the face while outside during sunlight hours)

Hi. There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days. Use Bakson's Apricot scrub at least once a week.

I am 24 years old and I am suffering from hair fall for last 4-5 years, I had thick and strong hairs till I was 17. When I was 18, I suffered from greying of hairs so I prescribed doctor and took medications. Doctor advised me to go bald and take medications so that when new hairs will come, they will be strong and black (no greying). I did so. After going bald, when my hairs grown, my greying problem was solved but then I found my hairs have become thin and weak, they started to fall whenever I bath or apply comb on dry hairs. I again recommend doctor but it didn't help. I went to several dermatologist but no improvement. I used Kesh King Oil shampoo, Livon Oil and Doctor Batra Shampoo and oil but all went in vain. I am extremely frustrated with the hair fall and thinning of hairs and the thing which increases my worry is, this problem is genetic. Yes, my father too had the same problem and since I born, I have seen him bald. Please doctor, tell me something. I don't wanna go bald like my father I am still unmarried.

In order to have healthy volume of hair on your head, the rate of hair loss and replacement should be in tandem. With age, your hair growth cycle shows signs of slowing down and factors like age, disease, and hormonal changes among others affect the pace at which an individual hair follicle moves through the 3 phases of the hair cycle. A disruption in your hair cycle can give rise to loss of hair that’s rapid and unexpected. Hair loss or alopecia can affect both men and women. So what can cause your hair to fall at an alarming rate? The reasons behind hair loss could be many, but here are 6 major ones: 1. Lack of protein in your diet When you exclude protein from your diet, your body starts to conserve the protein that it has by altering the growth cycle of your hair. In such cases, your hair enters into the resting stage, resulting in zero hair growth. In India, 9 out of 10 people are said to suffer from low amounts of protein in their diet, with 91% vegetarians reporting protein deficiency. 2. Iron deficiency Iron plays a very important role in the transportation of oxygen to the different organs of the body. Lack of iron in your diet (which is the principle reason behind anaemia) can give rise to several health problems including hair loss. Your body attempts to direct oxygen to important organs so as to support their functioning. As a result, your scalp witnesses a low supply of oxygen, which causes hair loss. 3. Vitamin D-3 deficiency Deficiency of vitamin D-3 gives rise to a type of hair loss called Telogen Effluvium (TE). This is a temporary hair thinning phenomenon that takes place when the all the hair on your scalp enter the resting phase at the same time, subsequently causing you to shed a large amount of hair later on. 4. Smoking Smoking can also affect the health of your hair, especially the rate at which it falls and the number of strands lost in a day. A research carried out by the Harvard School of Public Health has revealed that smoking can cause a rise in a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). An increase in DHT level prevents new hair cells from growing and causes hair follicles to reduce in size with each hair cycle. As a result, the area on your scalp that gets affected by DHT experiences a lack of hair growth. 5. Use of testosterone supplements in gym Intake of testosterone in the form of supplements and injections to build muscle mass can trigger hair loss in men. This takes place when the testosterone in these supplements gets changed into DHT, thereby affecting your hair loss rate and amount. 6. Past illnesses (dengue, TB and typhoid) Falling of hair can also be brought on by illnesses such as typhoid, TB and dengue as the hair growth cycle comes to a stop. Hormonal or metabolic stress that is experienced during the course of such diseases may cause hairfall. What are the treatments available to cure hair loss? 1. Hair transplant Hair transplant is a minimally invasive surgical technique that transfers hair follicles taken from other parts of your body to the balding area. Known by the name of Follicular Unit Transplantation, this hair loss treatment can help to bring back the natural appearance of a fuller head of hair. Hair follicles are harvested using two procedures- follicular unit extraction and strip harvesting. Procedure can vary from 4-8 hours or more depending on the case. 2. Platelet- Rich Plasma (PRP) Platelet- Rich Plasma (PRP) is another treatment alternative that can reverse hair loss. It’s a simple non-surgical procedure that lasts about 60-90 minutes. In this form of hair treatment, the patient’s own blood cells, more specifically blood platelets are injected into the scalp. Usually 8 sittings are required with each sitting being 2 weeks apart for better results. 3. Low Level Laser (Light) Therapy (LLLT) This form of hair therapy utilises light energy of a specific wavelength and threshold to stimulate cellular activity, thereby promoting hair growth. Various controlled clinical tests have revealed its effectiveness in encouraging hair growth in both the genders. Do not use shampoo and apply coconut oil and only dry excess oil if any without soap or shampoo Hair fall is a very common phenomenon that plagues millions of people around the globe. Most of you take supplements of vitamin on a regular basis as it aids the build-up of new hair and skin cells. Read on to find out how exactly do the various vitamins help your hair: 1.Vitamin A: This vitamin controls the production of retinoic acid in your hair follicle. It is not only helpful for skin care but stimulates hair growth. It is immensely fruitful in moisturizing your hair and keeping it healthy. Vitamin A is usually found in sweet potatoes, carrots, tuna, lettuce, mango, sweet red peppers, green leafy vegetables and spinach. 2.Vitamin B: Variants of this, such as B12, aid in hair growth by managing stress. Vitamin B is found in fruits such as oranges and papayas, and beans. 3.Vitamin C: This vitamin helps you absorb iron from the food you eat which is an absolute essential for hair growth. It also boosts the synthesis of collagen that is required to repair the damage and sustain the structure of your hair. Fruits such as papayas, guavas, lemons, sweet lime, orange, kiwi, vegetables such as broccoli, yellow bell peppers and leafy vegetables are replete with Vitamin C. 4.Vitamin D: This vitamin rejuvenates the hair cells in order to form new shafts of hair. Vitamin D is found in dairy products, mushrooms, soy milk, tofu, and cheese. Vitamin D is also naturally made by your body when you expose your skin to the sun, and is called the sun-shine vitamin. 5.Vitamin E: This aids in stimulating capillaries and enhancing blood circulation on the scalp. This additionally contributes to hair growth due to its high anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant content. Certain foods loaded with Vitamin E are pumpkin, broccoli, olive oil, sunflower seeds, almonds, avocado, tofu and spinach. 6.Vitamin B5: It is also known as Panthenol, is a vital ingredient that is used in medicines to regulate hair fall. Foods enriched with Vitamin B5 are sweet potatoes, sunflower seeds, avocados, cheese and mushrooms. Other Ways to Help Hair- We have gone over the vitamins that may be important for the health of your hair. But lifestyle changes can help just as much. Try: 1.Cutting back on gels, blow-drying, and brushing hair when wet 2.Lowering your stress by exercising at least 30 minutes a day 3.Drinking enough water, 6-8 glasses a day Being mindful of the foods and drinks you consume, the products you use, and the way you manage stress, can all help improve the well-being of your hair. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can ask.

Taking Vitamin E or Biotin will not do a magic. You need to know the exact reason of your problem. Many factors are involved in the process of hair loss like Tension or stress, chemical damage, nutritional deficiency, enviornmental factors, unadequate sleep or diet etc. A careful analysis of the person is required to initiate the treatment From Home remedy part you can use following: Take 100 ml coconut oil boil 2-4 pcs of amla fruit n 8-10 curry leaves in that oil till fruit n leaves turn black. Filter and strain. Massage it on scalp with finger tips gently. Wash hair next morning with curd mixed with besan. In ready to use you can start using rishi grow hair oil at bed time & wash with robin plus herbal shampoo. Clean oil is recommended if dandruff is the reason as this oil treats it in just two applications along with reducing itching. Internal ayurvedic medicines can be provided after studying your bodily constitution as per ayurveda. This process should be continued for two months and your hair fall will reduce to normal. As it's a very slow process so you can't see results in a week. Eat more of green leafy vegies and fresh seasonal fruits. Take amla powder or amla murabba/ carrot murabba twice daily. Use neem wood comb for managing hair and this should be changed regularly. Reduce your stress by yoga, Pranayam and meditation. Add some coconut daily in your diet. Keep water in copper vessel overnight and drink in the morning empty stomach. Avoid chinese foods and food stuffs packed in plastics. Avoid white flour (maida), excessive salt and spices. Let me know after it and I will advise accordingly.
