I am 50 years old, and patient of varicose veins and suffering from hands and leg veins. What is the reason ?

BHMS
General Physician,
Hello , in healthy veins, the valves within veins stop the blood from remaining stagnant or flowing back, valves open and close so that the blood can only flow in one direction. If the valves are damaged or weakened, they may allow the blood to flow back and accumulate in the vein, making it varicose. Varicose simply means enlarged/ swollen. Tips for you:- use compression stockings, avoid long time standing/siting. Leg elevation.

Swollen and inflamed veins in the rectum and anus that cause discomfort and bleeding. Other factors that increase the risk for getting hemorrhoids include constipation, diarrhea, lifting heavy objects, poor posture, prolonged sitting, pregnancy, eating a diet low in fibre, anal intercourse, and being overweight. Liver damage and some food allergies can also add stress to the rectal veins. People who consistently eat a high-fiber diet are less likely to get hemorrhoids, while those people who prefer a diet high in processed foods are at higher risk. A low-fiber diet or inadequate fluid intake can cause constipation, which can contribute to hemorrhoids in two ways: it promotes straining on the toilet People do not consider homeopathy medicine for piles at its early stages and this is one of the reason why they end up under a surgeon's knife. Varicose veins is basically the non functioning of venous valves. Caused by prolonged standing or prior trauma. Treatment depends on the grade of varicose veins. Initial grades surgery is not required but later stages when skin becomes blackish and presence of ulcer or severe pain are indication for surgical treatment. You can use compression stockings which are readily available in market. Wear these stockings. Avoid prolong standing. Consult a surgeon.

Dear, surgery in spine disorders is not a full proof guarantee that all will be well once surgery is done. As we all have multiple discs, so the key is to get surgery if pain is severe, and there are neurological weakness, but once you are off from surgery change lifestyle if you want no more problems.

Yes, during this procedure, the affected leg is elevated to drain blood, and the sclerosant is injected into the varicose vein. The procedure is done in a doctor's office or clinic and takes 5 to 30 minutes, depending on how many varicose veins are treated and how big they are.
