Can you suggest which is the best home remedy onion/ garlic/ methi (fenugreek seeds)/ aloe vera/ coconut oil/ almond ...
Coconut oil is the better option of them all.Hair fall can be associated with pernicious anaemia, hypothyroidism, inflammatory bowel disease, nutritional deficiency, diabetes, stress. These have to be evaluated. You also have to make a lot of lifestyle changes. Correct your diet. Consume plenty of pulses, legumes, sprouts, grams, soya and nuts. If you r nonvegetarian, have meat, fish, milk and milk products in plenty. Drink lots of water. Avoid stressing over your hair fall since dopamine released can decrease hair further. Stay away from chemicals like hair dyes, bleaches. Avoid straighteners and hot combs. Overwashing and overshampooing can make your hair fall. Wash your hair twice a week and shampoo on the same day. Use mild shampoos. Massage scalp thoroughly to increase blood circulation. Towel dry hair, do not use blow dryers. Make sure not to sleep with wet damp hair. Comb hair regularly before going out. Protect your hair from sun. Stay away from alcohol and caffeinated drinks like coffee and cola since they produce antioxidants which damage free radicals. Exercise regularly for it promotes blood flow and enhances healthy, shiny hair growth. Yoga and meditation help destress. You vil need to take biotin tablets everyday after breakfast.

Hello lybrate-user, it would be better if you can undergo an x ray or something of your leg. Also if you perform some exercises of your leg, it will help you a lot. Some times such pain in the leg specially in the back side of the leg can even be due to vitamin or calcium or electrolyte deficiency. In that case, you will require multivitamin course. Till then, you can take homeopathic rhus tox 200, 4 pills three times a day.

I am suffering from hairfalls sir how can I control this problem sir please help me.
First of all, we need to understand that the hair fall and hair loss are two different things in the hair histology. The hair fall is a natural phenomenon as a part of hair growth cycle, whereas the hair loss is due to the effect of genetic causes known as the androgenic alopecia. So, the hair can regrow after the hair fall but stopped growing if it is a case of hair loss issue. The hair loss reason may be any, whether it is external or internal stimuli, but both lead to the problem of baldness in men and hair thinning in women. The hair loss or baldness is only permanently cured by the hair transplant procedure. The hair transplant procedure is shifting or moving the hair follicles from the safe donor portion into the recipient zone in such a manner that the people get a head full of hair without any side effect or discomfort. The hair loss problem is a very common among people due to the increased level of pollution as well as the unhealthy attitudes affected up to one-third of the whole population. The problem of hair loss affects both male and female in the same manner, but the total baldness usually occurs in men. The symptoms of hair loss in females occur in the form of thinning of hair as well as the widening gap between the partitions. The most common causes associated with the hair loss include the genetic factor and the disease is called as Androgenic alopecia. Androgenic alopecia occurs due to the imbalance of hormone androgen that transforms the hormone, Androgen into the DI-hydro Testosterone (DHT) causes the severe hair loss. The other causes include the nutritional deficiency, chronic disease, medications, thyroid imbalance, stress, dandruff, pollution, and the scalp’s skin infections.

Shoulder Impingement - What Is The Right Way To Diagnose?

MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, MS - Orthopaedics, DNB - Ortho, Fellowship In Knee Replacement & Arthroscopic Surgery ( Knee & Shoulder )

Shoulder Impingement - What Is The Right Way To Diagnose?

Shoulder impingement occurs when there is impingement or change in the position of the tendons or a bursa (fluid filled sac or cavity, which causes friction in the joints) in your shoulder. Repeated overhead exercises or intense physical activity concentrated around your shoulder is a common risk factor for shoulder impingement. The examples of such activity would include playing outdoor sports like tennis, swimming etc. or painting for long hours.

How it may affect your daily life?
Shoulder impingement pain is severe in many cases and may affect your everyday activities. In fact, any activity, which involves your shoulders can cause intense pain. You should visit a doctor or a professional medical facility to get relief from pain as well as to avoid aggravating the injury.

Symptoms of shoulder impingement:

  • You will have difficulty in completing tasks which involve your back.
  • There may be a weakness in your shoulder muscles.
  • Pain associated with overhead use of your arm. Anytime you lift your arm there would be pain and would make many day to day activities difficult.
  • Intense injury to the tendons can cause them to tear into two and would result in a rotator cuff injury and would make your arm movements next to impossible.

Diagnosis of shoulder impingement:
Physical exam and review of medical injury previously sustained on some other occasion is the first step of treatment. Your doctor may also diagnose shoulder impingement by X-rays or MRI of shoulder to see changes in the bone that may indicate any injury. Other changes in the normal contour of the bone may also be checked which may help in further diagnosis and treatment.

Treatment of shoulder impingement:

NSAIDs are anti-inflammatory medicines that are commonly prescribed for shoulder impingement syndrome. These are prescribed for two weeks. Shoulder impingement requires a long time to heal and would require regular consultation with your doctor. If the medications fail to provide any relief in a span of maximum two weeks it may compel your doctor to change the course of treatment. Shoulder impingement is a serious injury and requires proper rest for your shoulder as well as patience as it may take quite some time to come back to normal.

Physiotherapy for Impingement-

Physiotherapy is usually the first line of treatment for subacromial impingement (tendonitis, bursitis) of the shoulder; along with anti-inflammatories and analgesia. It is very successful in treating shoulder impingement syndrome. You will work with your physical therapist to devise a treatment plan that is specific to your condition and goals. Your individual treatment program may include:

  1. Pain Management
  2. Manual techniques, such as gentle joint movements, soft-tissue massage, and shoulder stretches to get your shoulder moving properly.
  3. You will learn exercises and stretches to help your shoulder and shoulder blade move properly.
  4. Strengthening Exercises
  5. The therapist will teach you the proper posture which is an important part of rehabilitation

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Dear patient, life style management to prevent hairfall 1. Quit smoking 2. Junk food, coffee and alcohol 3. Ease stress 4. Headbath twice a week. 5. Lack of beta carotene 6. Lack of nutrition to hair roots. Now it's not too late for you to get right treatment. Now, you need" trichoroot act" hair oil and medicines which are homeopathic, safe & easy to consume and no side effects. This will control and cure hair fall quickly. Many patients are happy with tra. Please take a photograph of your head before you use tra. So that you can compare it after 3 to 4 months of usage to see the result. Keep a healthy diet a proper diet so as to prevent hairfall should incorporate food items that are rich in minerals and vitamin a along with iron. Your hair needs a high protein well-rounded diet. - cut down on the use of hair spray, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients. Revert back within a week of use of hair oil and medicines. Take care.
